The only reason I'm knocking off one star has nothing to do with Kaihler herself, but the salon's product pricing. I purchased a hair product there for $47, then realized afterward the exact same product/size is selling for around $25 at Ulta and Amazon, and even the brand's own website has it listed for $36. Marking products up that much is pretty scammy and left a bad taste in my mouth, so I definitely wouldn't purchase products from the salon again. But overall, Kaihler herself was amazing and I'd definitely recommend booking with her!

Compared to the photos I showed, my hair is a lot darker overall. When I asked her about the color being darker her reason was "we didn't do a full weav on you as well". I don't believe this was due to partial vs. full weaving, as I've had plenty of both in the past and achieved blonde results. In my opinion, the smudging and the extra darkness left in between made it much darker than what I was hoping for based on my inspiration pictures. I also spoke with her assistant about one of the photos because it appeared too dark compared to what I asked for. I have showed and asked other people's opinions and they agree that it is a lot different then what I asked for, including my nail and lash techs'. I expressed all of this in a message afterward explaining how I felt, but after it was read, I did not receive a response. That part was disappointing. I paid about $280 for a this service with the partial weave, and I did not receive the final price until I was sitting in the chair during a short consult, which I would have preferred to know ahead of time. I also feel the haircut should have been explained more clearly before cutting. Simply showing how much length was going to be removed and confirming how short it would be would have helped me feel more aware and comfortable with the change. I do appreciate that she re-toned my hair and took the time to blow dry and style it. I wanted to share my feedback for future clients who are looking for a brighter blonde result and clearer communication regarding pricing. Also, I don't want to have it corrected right now, as further processing would likely cause more damage to my hair. If anything, I would appreciate a partial refund for the inconvenience.

I walked in and the aesthetic of the salon was so cute and was greeted by my stylist, Lauren, who I soon found out was actually the owner - how lucky! She was so sweet, very communicative, gave advice on what she recommended for my hair and got straight to it.
