I got the worst hircut of my life on Saturday at the Placerville salon. The stylest did not listen to one thing that I told him. Instead of cutting my hair so that it just comes down touching the top of my ears, he basically buz cut the sides of my head. There is no hair to come down and touch anything, much less my ears. Plus the hair on the right side of the my head is twice as long as the hair on the left side of my head. The guy was clueless on how to cut hair. I have been going to this salon for 9 years, they havent been great cuts, but they were at least in the ball park of what I asked for. You have now reached rock bottom. Third time iv gone and gotten no where near what I asked for. I asked for a inverted V shaped undercut that is faded into my my beachwave shoulder lengh haircut no higher then the lump on the back of my head... I got a straight buzz from just under the top of my ears straight across. No fading and no way to fix it because there was no hair left!!! I quietly left fuming mad. Do not go here if you have curly hair or care about your cut! I was telling the stylist what I wanted done and she just kept looking at the door. She finally said, "Sorry, I had another client but I don't know where he went." So she cut my hair and there weren't any layers. Instead of sitting me back down, she started arguing with me because I had briefly mentioned I put it up for work and I could come back in a week for her to fix it. Well, no thank you, woman who wouldn't even listen to me. Not coming back. I think she just wanted to make her 25 bucks for 10 minutes of doing nothing. The manger on duty was rude and was annoyed that I was even speaking to her about my experience. The gal with black bob and bangs was the one who completely butchered my hair. Went in on 5/31/16 while I was in town with my mom on her birthday. She went in to get a hair cut so I decided to get my beard trimmed while I was there. I was very specific on what I wanted: keep the length, make it neat, lighten the underneath, and line it up with my face. After I got home, washed and dried it, combed it out, the left side is so much shorter than the right side. If I lived closer to Placerville I would go back and have them fix it, but since I don't, I have to pay somebody else to fix their poor trim job. I highly recommend double checking their work before leaving the parking lot. read more

Went to get a hair cut at 11:15 a.m. after checking after checking in online. Three people were getting a haircut and two in the lobby waiting, a lady came to counter wearing her mask below her nose, I pointed that out to her and she said it doesn't fit right, I told her it's not effective at all and i couldn't stay inside and get a hair cut. She said well there's nothing I can do about it. I told her that I was an at risk person (62 with heart issues) and that it's not acceptable for her to wear her mask that way, then a hairdresser who was cutting hair told me that I was welcome to leave if I wasn't comfortable!! A lady came out of the office in the back and said something I didn't catch, I told her that the mask wasn't worn correctly to protect people, she actually said "that's not our policy"!, i pointed out that it's a state policy, a county policy and your stores policy. I have had great haircuts from this location for all the years I've lived in Placerville. My husband has had maybe 1 really bad cut but the girl who did his hair no longer works there. These types of places get a lot of new graduates so on a rare occasion you get someone who doesn't have the greatest customer service, but most of the stylists there have been there for a while and I haven't had a rude person in a long time. The manager Melissa not only gives great haircuts but she is super personable and seems to be running a great business. I hope to continue going here for a long time. They provide very fair and affordable hair cuts and while you may run into little mishaps on rare occasions, you have to consider that these places are a great place to start your career and mistakes can happen. I have straight hair in a chin-length bob and the cut was very uneven. I could say it's my fault because you get what you pay for, but I've had other budget haircuts that were at least acceptable. She messed up my hair super bad...literally butchered it..I can't even describe the 80s hair cut that she gave me. Not only was the hair cut terrible but her overall attitude was disappointing.. talking bad about her previous clients that day was definitely so disrespectful and unprofessional. Jaw hit the floor. I didn't want to make a bad review but when I called they acted like they get a lot of complaints about this women but continue to keep her around. Bad for business. Very disappointed with my haircut today. I never write negative reviews but this warrants a warning to anyone considering walking into this salon. Lupe actually cut almost all my hair off leaving me with no style at all. I had to color my hair immediately after just so my husband could tell I had hair left on my head. I'm so sad. I went in with instructions to trim my long bangs to wispy and even up the sides but I left with no bangs or sides. I just don't know what she was thinking. The good news; I got the budget cut. My husband comes here and gets a decent haircut each time, and it doesn't cost too much, esp since he doesn't have a lot to cut. I go occasionally, esp when my hair length is bugging me, and it's cheap. Occasionally they leave a few hairs long, but overall, I get inexpensive cuts and they look fine. read more

My senior mother went in to this Great Clips location and in the middle of my her haircut a unattended child set off the fire alarm. The staff asked the patrons to wait out in front of the facility until the fire department could arrive to shut the alarm off. My mother waited out front with a cape around her and a half cut hair cut for a half of hour and not once was she or any one else offered a chair or water during than time, it was very warm outside I would think 90 degrees at least. It is very obvious that my mother is in poor health. Once the patrons were let back in side my mother waited an additional 20 minutes for her hair stylist to return and that was after inquiring with the desk on where her stylist was. The employees were gathered in the back room. I contacted the store manager upon learning that this had happened and she was incredibly rude and said hey I gave your mother a discount of $ 3.00 Now that is an insult !
