I took a chance and went to the Great Clips location at Azalea Square. When I walked in there was kind of a crowd waiting, but when I checked in I was told the wait time was about 16 minutes. Once I signed in a young lady named Lado collected me before I could sit. She was friendly, polite and she cut my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted! The length was what I asked for with no bangs, no layers. Lado was pleasant and I will definitely have her cut my hair again. Thank you, Lado! Thank you, Great Clips. Went in with shoulder length hair, go placed with the black woman hairdresser who's station is behind the front desk. (I didn't get her name) showed her a picture of how I'd like my hair, talked to her in detail about it. I was skeptical of cutting my hair shorter because of how long I've been trying to grow my hair longer from being sick. (6 years) She seemed to understand exactly what I wanted so I let her do her thing. Big mistake. She didn't shampoo my hair, took a spray bottle to it instead. Starting cutting my hair and uses a unsanitized mens beard trimmer after just using it on a man before me. She uses it to go underneath my hair as if I asked for an undercut which I did not. Once she was done, she turned me around gave me a small mirror and I could barely see anything with how all over the place my hair was as she did not blow dry it, or comb through it. I get home, brush through my hair and my boyfriend almost has a stroke at how awful this cut is. I should've saved my money and had him chop it with our kitchen scissors. I think it would've turned out better than this. I called to talk to someone about it and they basically had blamed me for not saying anything about it before I left. Again, my hair was wet and not combed. And did not get a call back from the hairdresser who cut my hair. NEVER go to this place. The hair dressers don't even seem qualified. Get there they say 2.5 hour wait, so we sign in and run other errands. They were supposed to text 15 before the time, they didn't. After that when my husband was getting his haircut two of the hairdressers were talking crap about another customer that was coming in later right in front of us like we weren't there, making mild threats about her. I use Great Clips for my haircuts because it's affordable, and I like the online check-in. However, I will no longer be using this location. Every time I use this location, they somehow push my check-in time back numerous times while i'm waiting. The last time I was there. I had 10 minutes left to wait. I was in the parking lot, checked in, waiting for my turn, when all of a sudden my time got pushed back sixty minutes. I went in, and I asked the person i assumed was the manager how this happened. And she said oh, we're very busy, and one of our hait cutters must have taken lunch. I would have left immediately except it was already late, and most places to get a haircut were closed or closing. I waited another hour for my haircut. No one ever came back from lunch. So I guess. The manager's reply that someone must have checked out for lunch was a lie all along. I was a scheduled walk in. I was skeptical on going and getting a haircut due to prior experience and different salons. But I was pleasantly surprised and left happy. The stylist (I didn't get her name), listened to what I wanted, and gave her input on how to make it happen. I will definitely be coming back, I wanted an undercut with an inverted pixie cut. We just left the location at Azala Square. We checked in on line before 3pm and once we got there we checked in at the desk, on line said it would be a 32 minute wait, and the girl at the desk said it wouldn't be long. We waited for 44 minutes. At least two people came in after us and they did not check in online, they were walk ins that seated and served before we were. read more

I have been a regular customer since they opened. I have had a couple bad cuts that the graciously fixed. Today i went was told it would be 30 minutes which turned out to be 55 minutes with a blue haired stylist talking non stop about nothing. When i got my cut the stylist chewed and snapped bubble gum non stop very unprofessional then he told me his cuts were better air dryed when i said i wanted it blown out he was clearrly annoyed. I would give no stars but it will not let me. Early this month I went to get my hair thinned out, no cut. The styler did not comb my hair out hardly at all. When I got to my car & ran my hand thru my hair I notice how much hair came out. Went back in & asked for a brush, she gave me a cob & I comb it out. Today is St. Patrick's Day and there was a 45 minute wait, but I signed up anyway. Once I arrived, there was no line so Kaitlyn took me right away. She was excited to greet me and get started which makes customers feel fantastic when they walk into a local business. Kaitlyn was personable and asked great questions and we laughed together while she provided one of the best haircuts I've ever had.
