This time, I asked for nothing more than a simple trim. Instead, I left with a cut that was flat, uneven, and completely unflattering (I look like Spock from Star Trek with his uneven bowl cut)...... A trim, by definition, should preserve the style while making it slightly shorter and persevering the preferred style!! Instead, the layering was ruined, the natural shape was lost, and the result looked nothing like what I asked for. It was deeply disappointing, especially given the timing and occasion. The overall service was also poor. My face and clothes were left covered in hair, I was repeatedly brushed with scissors, and there was a general lack of attention to detail or professionalism in understanding what I would like done with my hair throughout the appointment. To be clear: Megan is outstanding hairstylist and the only stylist I would personally recommend here. However, the stylist I saw most recently did not meet even the most basic expectations, and I would strongly caution others to be very specific--or avoid her entirely--when booking. I am not sure of her name, but she had dark hair, bangs, and piercings. She mentioned that she has been cutting hair for only a year and originally went to school for psychiatry. They took several smoke breaks doing my hair and my friend's hair. It took forever and there was so much hair spray in my hair it took me a week to untangle and I lost allot :( I have also heard they take breaks to go to the bar next door for a quick drink before continuing with their services. I believe it is run by Lao individuals. I've been visiting since I was in high school to get good hair cuts and styling. Whenever I go, they usually do things pretty quickly. I came here for my high school prom several years ago, and I was pleased with how they curled my hair. Staff are personable, friendly, and attentive to your desires. Pricing is good. A haircut can average to be about 13 bucks. I got my hair styled for about $25 for a formal event. I highly recommend this local salon!
