I 1st came across this salon on a IG post and then my daughter sent it to me on tik tok. I finally decided to give a try. I called to make an appt. Early morning, like I like it. It is located in a plaza anchored by Aldi on OBT and Weatherbee. Plenty of parking. I was the 1st one to arrive, 9:05am, they open at 9am. I was greeted immediately. I told them I wanted a wash, deep conditioner and cut and definitely rollers and flat iron. We got you. (in spanish of course) But first, coffee, where can I buy coffee and some bread? We got you. Cafesito y pan served in a real cup and saucer with a tiny croissant. I am not sure they do this all the time or it was because I arrived so early, but it was wonderful. Carmen, took really good care of me. She scrubbed my hair and scalp so well, I was immediately relaxed. Deep conditioner under a heating lamp. Rollers, and the hot hair dryer. They checked on me often. I was fine. I am used to this and missed it. She blew my hair out first then flat ironed it and after, she cut for the most precision. My stylist moved from another shop and is now acting as a master stylist and the Hair Cuttery location manager. Hope has years of experience and in my opinion gives the best hair cuts in Orlando. She also does a full range of services including color and eye brow waxing. I think her expertise lies in that she can easily understand your hair texture, cowlicks and use that knowledge to shape your hair in the style you want. She asks questions and repeats what she intends to do beforehand so there are no surprises. I like that their online reservation system sends you texts to confirm your appointment and a reminder text. What I don't like is they have an over zealous marketing bot that bombs your email box. In asking what I was paying for I found that the first time it was for a pre-treatment & after treatment since they dyed my whole head to get it all one base color. Then the second time was an additional conditioner added after she washed and conditioned my hair. So now that I was educated, I asked them not to add anything on unless it was shown to me and approved by me. Haven't had an issue since. Still go there and will continue to. The guys that work there are polite. I'm not sure the name of the gentlemen that helped me but his station was the closest to the door on the right side. He completely messed up my hairline. What's even worse is that when he went to show me why it looked like he purposefully moved my bun over the spot where he messed up, not showing me my full hairline. If he would of fessed up and said he accidentally went to high I would have been okay with it because I get that it can be a bit difficult, hair grows back. However the fact that he let me walk out of there after paying AND tipping him with a messed up hairline is unacceptable to me.
