I called for a very last minute appointment for curtain bangs - and was able to get a spot with Cynthia who was very pleasant and kind. But this was by far the worst curtain bang cut I have ever received. My bangs are incredibly choppy and not what I asked for at all. I asked her to start with it longer then we can see if I want it shorter - and she definitely just went ahead and went for the chop. I asked for longer ends and that didn't happen as well. Today I am off to go somewhere else and hopefully fix this. Super disappointed and REALLY wish stylists wouldn't accept a job they don't know how to do. read more

A friend of mine recommend I see Michelle at Vintage Sky, and I'm glad I did! First of all, I love this area of downtown Winter Garden, so it's not a chore for me to visit. The salon was super cute and just a few stores down from one of my favorite coffee places "Axum." The salon was peaceful. Michelle saw me right on time. I got the best head massage ever while getting my hair washed. She took her time with the cut and did a nice job trimming up my long layers (and I'm pretty picky about my hair.) She had a pleasant demeanor and was super chill. My hair turned out great! I also felt like the price was very fair for the service you get. I will be back for sure. I'm sure all the stylists are great, but I do recommend Michelle :) Tip 1: They do take credit/debit cards and you can leave tip on it! :) Tip 2: Parking may be a bit tricky. If you're not familiar with the downtown Winter Garden area, you may want to give yourself some extra time so that you can find parking and possibly walk a little to the salon. read more

It's so unfortunate that the only review for this place is from a negative experience from nearly two years ago. I've been a repeat client, and I don't ever want to go anywhere else. Everyone there is warm and friendly - they want nothing more than to make you happy! I typically go for a trim/cut/color. The hair stylist I work with, Kaitlyn, helps me decide on my own flattering cuts and colors, gives me amazing advice on hair care, and is an absolute pleasure to spend a couple hours with. For the price, it's completely well worth it, I get what I ask for every time, along with a fun and pleasant experience! I look forward to my next visit!!! read more

I am going to start by saying I am very picky about who cuts my hair. I cut it about twice a year and always ask for the least amount off possible. I moved here recently and was in search for a hair salon. I found this cute salon and thought I'd give it a shot. I called in and they gave my appointment to Shayna. She was ABSOLUTELY wonderful! She took her time and was so careful knowing I get nervous about cutting my hair. She asked the entire time how I was doing, what I wanted different, and if I was okay with what she was doing. I've been trying to make a nail appointment since Monday. It's now Friday and I still don't have an appointment. The salon employees keep telling me to call this person and that person. "Oh I'm not working that day please call this person instead". Very unprofessional and a hassle to say the least. As a former hairdresser I am extremely selective in who cuts/colors my hair. In fact, I have yet to find someone where I live in Colorado, thus I choose to come to Florida when I visit family and get my hair cut by hairdressers I know and trust. Vintage sky is an amazing salon filled with talented stylists. When I read negative reviews from patrons who clearly hadn't communicated what they wanted effectively, I get very frustrated. I asked for a long layered haircut and for only the necessary dead ends to be removed. I got EXACTLTY what I communicated. Why? Because my stylist took the time to listen while I communicated effectively. Often patrons think they are expressing what they would like, but often don't really know, and then get angry if a stylist tries to interpret said requests. We as patrons need to assume more responsibility rather than writing scathing reviews that read like a toddler having a temper tantrum, but that are ultimately damaging to businesses. I happen to go to Paula, the owner, but I witnessed several great stylists making people very happy. The best part is that they have an incredibly competitive pricing system, and an awesome location. Take the time to drive to Winter Garden, even if you are far away. You can have lunch on the quaint avenue and enjoy the local shops and scenery. Make an afternoon out of it, because you will have great hair, and heavier pockets for fun afterwards! Love to Vintage Sky, because you all are AMAZING. Thank you for providing such great service.
