I am truly amazed and so grateful for Don, Gabe, and the team at Crafty Canine Club. They have a ton of certified experience and have done fantastic behavioral modification work with my French Bulldog (and myself) in their board and train programs. I have learned to be a better leader for my dog and how to keep him mentally balanced so he's at his best. The structure of the training programs and regular boarding at CCC are solid and well planned so our furry family can learn and have fun in a safe environment while in the care of strong leadership. A bonus in my particular case; CCC techniques are aligned with what is recommended by my board certified vet behaviorist and was covered by my pet insurance. CCC communicates with me openly and regularly before, during, and after any bookings and will send photos and videos of the fun which helped ease my thoughts in the beginning. Now, I will only use CCC for care and follow up training for my boy. I believe they truly care about him and our relationship. A very small investment for huge lifelong returns you won't regret!

I would pick my dog up and everything seemed fine. The last time I went to pick up my 7 month olds puppy from boarding, I parked my car and was walking by the fenced play area (which you can't see through). As I walked by, I could clearly hear my dog barking as she is young, just discovered her bark, and probably smelled me. As I walked by, I heard VERY CLEARLY (management) the staff in the yard say in a frustrated voice to one of the dogs (better not have been my dog) "shut the fuck up or im going to kick you". I was furious walking in to pick Kira up and asked the front desk who was out there with my dog stating RESPECTFULLY that if she was threatening my dog like that they needed to bring that staff member out so I could speak to her directly. Front desk said they would speak to her and get there manager. I stated that if she was speaking to my dog I WOULD be speaking with her. Speaking to the manager, he stated that that was out of character for the staff member and that sometimes people get frustrated working with dogs. I left after thanking the manager for hearing what I had to say but not feeling heard whatsoever. The manager texted me a day later not to follow up on that, but to follow up on training I had inquired on. I thoroughly expressed my concerns to him via text, and how concerned I was for the treatment of the animals in there care with these kinds of threats openly in ear shot of customers (what happens behind closed doors?). I never received a response and never received a follow up. That was now weeks ago. My question is, WHY WOULD I MAKE THAT UP? We never had any issues prior boarding our dog there or dropping off for day care, never complained before etc. This was a genuinely shocking experience and I was in disbelief. I would urge you to pick somewhere else. No animal deserves to be threatened like that, empty threat or not.

They do carry quite a few brands, some the same as Petco. I was greeted by associate Ronnie who was so kind and helpful. I let Ronnie know about my picky eater. She suggested a few things and even gave me some samples of some kibble she thinks Niko would like. Their prices are not bad at all. I even picked up a grass plant to see if he would nibble on that. Well.. so far so good. He's been eating the brand I picked up. So we'll see how long this lasts. Ronnie also informed me if Niko didn't like it I could return it. We Have Our Lives Back. Our dog, Link, is a very large, very fearful boy. We thought he was…read moreexhibiting aggressive behavior, as we had one bite incident with friends over and several smaller incidents with family members. But, Xavier explained that it was all fear-based. We felt like prisoners in our own house because we felt we couldn't have people over and were constantly on edge that he might bite someone. Xavier made recommendations that gave us back our lives. We bought a crate and took Link everywhere in the house (and eventually outside) on leash. Initially I felt guilty because Link was confined for large portions of the day, but now he has more time outside or the crate/xpen and he will even go in on retreat there when he needs a break from the activity in the house. I was taking him on walks regularly, which made him very happy, but he still gets the "excited poops" and I have to stop and pick up after him 3-4 times per walk, which is not conducive to my exercise requirements (due to a health concern). I plan to try him on more relaxed evening walks and hopefully break his fear cycle and get him better socialized in the coming months.

After working with Xavier just one time, I was given all the instruction I needed to get Duke comfortable being alone. Eventually we got to the point where I could leave him by himself for the whole day while I was at work. When I relocated for work, it was like starting from ground zero with Duke all over again. After Duke destroying his beds five times in less than a month, I decided to set up some time with Xavier again to figure out what was going wrong. Within less than a week after that, Duke was back to his normal self being comfortable with me leaving the house for work. I swear this man is a miracle worker!

He had…read morerecently been through a SMS Boot Camp program, then his owner had to relocate to Dallas for work. We were bringing him to a home with an older male Great Dane. Tim helped us with acclimating the dogs to one another( a difficult task). Our younger GD, developed severe dog aggresion issues after being attacked at dog beach by another dog. I reached out to Tim for help. We brought him to group class, which started off horribly when my GD Richie immediately became aggressive. Tim handled the situation very calmly, established boundaries for the other dog owners(who were understandably apprehensive) and within 8 months of starting group classes Richie was able to go to dog beach and interact with dogs without stress. Our 2 males passed (Oliver at 10 of old age, Richie at 5 from cancer) . We now have a 3 y.o. Female GD, Rosie that we started training with Tim at 12 weeks. Tim has taught me so much about dog training, how to interact with your dog, being the alpha without being mean , and the need to continually work with your dog to help them be the best dog they can be. We've had no out-of-control barking incidents; he can be tethered and remain quiet. He's very good on walks, moving from "heel" to "break" and back to "heel" again. He's very responsive to the "off" command, which we use primarily to keep him off the furniture and out of the kitchen. Last week we had friends over for dinner and after his initial excitement he was a good boy, lying nearby content and chewing on a bone. We even attended the Humane Society Walk for Animals at Kit Carson Park, and with hundreds of dogs and people and non-stop activities, he was again a very well-behaved boy. We are so appreciative of the work that Michelle did with Monty. He is now the dog we always hoped he would be - happy, well-behaved, and living his best life!

All beagles, beagle mixes and their family members are welcome. They do a lot of good with finding loving parents for homeless beagles. And they have events like group walks with the beagles and free breakfasts for dog owners. But what they don't tell you on their website is that they allow massive amounts of bullying. The people that run it unfortunately have shown themselves to be very power hungry and I've seen time and again the gal that guards the gate entrance, berate pet parents-for no good reason at all. If that wasn't bad enough, they allow any other breed in as well, as long as it's from the same household as a beagle. So these big dogs come in and are allowed to gang up on the small dogs. Then they let huge packs of 10-20 beagles gang up on any one helpless victim of their choosing, while they sit by & do nothing. I've seen a poor beagle try to hide under a picnic table to get away from a pack of 20 power hungry dogs, only to no avail. I've had to rescue a few while everyone sat by and stared. One slumped in my arms afterwards, he was shaking and shell-shocked. I'd rather step in dog doody every day than to see these loving, helpless animals be allowed to be bullied like they are when going to meetings at the Beagle Brigade.
