One of the major benefits to this business is they're willing to take customer suggestions such as: Answer the riddle of the day and earn a free coffee or Buy $20 in gas and be entered in a drawing to win $20 free for the next time you fill up. His employees are hit and miss however, I've seen customers standing in the bottle room for 10 minutes before the employees notice they have a customer; normally because they're chatting among themselves.

They called and scheduled me for a tank install. Was scheduled for mid August. They said they would be there between 8-12. Well, the day came, I took the day off from work and at noon, they still hadn't shown up. I called them around 1 pm and the lady said "I see that your appointment hasn't been canceled, so they are probably just running late". 7 pm came and they still hadn't shown up. I called them the next day and they all sorts of excuses why they didn't come or even try to contact me. Then they rescheduled me for September 11! I politely asked if I could be made a priority because I was blown off. Nope. Wouldn't do it. I ended up finding propane for a little cheaper, so I went with Superior Propane, which they got me in quick. I will never suggest AmeriGas to anyone. If that's how they treat new customers, then I can imagine how they would be moving forward. I even called Village Homes to let them know how the company that they are sending people to act. Stay away from them. Superior Plus Propane is the way to go. No tank rental fee and they give you a $250 new customer credit right off the bat! And they even offer a $0.05 a gallon discount for First Responders, so I'm paying $1.95 a gallon with them.

The cost of sanding is $100.00 each event. We were given less than 16 hours (after 7:00 pm) notice of a delivery which often does allow time for the sanding truck to arrive. Invariably the propane truck arrives early, can't get to the house and leaves. This continues on and on to the extent that we have paid out hundreds of dollars for sanding and still no delivery. Customer service is pseudo pleasant but ineffectual. Requesting a supervisor always results in the supervisor "being on break". As soon as possible we are dumping AmeriGas for a customer friendly caring company. Bah humbug to you AmeriGas.
