I've been going to this clinic for about a dozen years and have been very happy with Dr Campbell and everyone on staff. I recently met Dr Mark Atuan and his assistants. I was impressed from the start at how he worked to save a tooth it would have been easier to extract. I'm very happy with the result. Special shout out to Dental Assistant Sue - she patiently and professionally answered all my questions in the detail I asked for. Please do not do any care at Greater Expressions! They overcharge for services and up cost all these services you DONT need but will keep their salaries HIGH. Corporation greed at their best. Switched dentist I haven't have a cavity or needed work in years. No bill from dentist since. Great expressions took thousands from me for "replacement work" not needed. I've also been waiting for 2 years for a refund for having two dental insurance. Do you think I had any money refunded? Nope they pocketed it. Corporation to file a complaint?? This is the utmost unprofessional dental service facility I've ever been to. I had an appointment scheduled today for 3pm and you're given a 15 min grace period. I arrived at 3:12 due to heavy traffic from an accident which I had left the office at 2pm. I received a call from the thinning hair front desk dentist around noon saying hey Matt we have two slots open earlier due to cancellations if you'd like an earlier appointment, I said no I'll just stick to 3pm due to this being my first return to office day since 2019. He said okay I'll see you around 3pm. I finally arrive at 3:12 he ask are you (my name) I say yes I am, he says oh I had to cancel your appointment. I'm looking confused as to why, so I ask and he says well the doctor left early and he can't see you today, I said why did no one call me and say anything he says well that's why I called you earlier to see if you wanted an earlier appointment. I said sir you never said the doctor was leaving early though you just stated two people had canceled and opened the offer to me. He then says oh well yeah that's just how "tings" go sometimes. I said no as a professional doctor and business dealing with peoples oral health you are supposed to be clear and concise especially when it comes to appointments and cancellations. I said I just drove an hour and took pto for this appointment, he and little ponytail shrugged it off like my time and health did not matter. I then found out they didn't even have all my scheduled services even set for today my extractions and deep cleaning. Which they insisted they were going to do both today two extractions and one side deep cleaning. I asked that they remove me from their system and asked that I not be charged due to them canceling an appointment that I made it to. Please DO NOT GO TO THIS UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE... I will say they did have a mid-age African American female dental lady that was very nice and professional she knew all her stuff but the people today were out the gutters. read more

I agree with many of the reviews here about the office/admin staff/operations. I love the hygienist & the dentist and have been a patient for years. Recently, I made an appointment online 2 months in advance. Got an email confirmation etc. I arrived for the appointment and was told it did not exist. No idea how that happened, or any effort to accommodate me as I was only in town for a few more weeks. I don't know where the fault lies - either in the appointment-making software or the staff follow-up, but in the end I was inconvenienced by setting aside a free afternoon, showing up & merely being informed the appointment didn't exist. No accountability or effort to make the situation right. read more

If I could rate this office a 0 I would. This dentist has the worse bed side manner ever. He does not talk to the patient he just introduces himself and starts working. He relys on what the tech tells him. He doesn't listen to the patient. My bridge never fit it was much to big , I ask that it be redone or refund , he acted like he did not hear me and started grinding my natural teeth Trying to make it fit. THAT USELESS BRIDGE COST ME $850 The cap on another kept falling out every two weeks , I returned 5 time only to have this tooth glued back into place . I've been to both this location and the one at Decatur, near the square. I love this place much much better for: 1) their promptness - I've had 2 appointments at Decatur, and both occasions I've waited over 2hrs before I was seated at the dentist chair. And even then I still did not see the dentist. I had to sit on the chair for another hour before I saw someone. Both occasions, I left the venue after 4hrs. - At this Candler location, after 2 appointments, I was seen promptly, my first appointment was at 8am, and I was called in and worked on by 8.10am. Second appointment was 12nn, was seated and worked on by 12.05 and out of the place by 1pm. 2) free parking - While I sit at the chair and wait for the dentist at Decatur, my parking charges are chalking up. Regardless they valid your parking at Decatur, it was still expensive. - At Candler, parking is free. Need I say more? 3) dentist assistants - At Decatur, there were assistants, many but no one could work on me. I'm not sure why, everyone had to wait for the dentist. - At Candler, medical assistants could work on me and the dentist would come work on the more important things. Which then contributes to speed of in&out. So I vote Candler. read more

I'd like to give a shout out to all of the staff at GEDC South Dekalb in Decatur Ga. They are definitely consistent in giving the best possible service to each customer. Everyone that ministered to me was very kind and courteous. Dr. Campbell is such a great dentist that, when I moved to Las Vegas for four years, I begged him to move out there, because of the low-quality dentists (some were heard making fun of patients' naturally "little round" teeth, offering to cut open their gums so more tooth would show, a particularly rough dentist making racist remarks about Uncle Remus and Bre'r Rabbit to me, an old black woman, knowing I'm from Atlanta, ending up giving me mix-match-sized front teeth, when I asked him to stop. DR DONALD IS SO KIND, DOES NOT HURT, AND DOES GREAT, LONG-LASTING QUALITY WORK. I'm back home, and that's where I'm gonna go again. read more

I scheduled an appt to see my doctor whom I have been coming to since before Great Expressions took over. Never in all my years of having dealing with a physician office have I EVER experienced such rudeness, ghetto techs, disrepectful workers in the manner I experienced on 01/20/16. Someone at the front desk scheduled an appointment(not one individual took responsibility for the error),no apology from anyone except the physician himself Dr. Campbell, which he has nothing to do with administrative errors at all. I called in and requested a cleaning and a filling(which I was very aware that the cleaning needed to take place prior to me having a filling, it's always been this way). I ask the scheduler several times prior to finalizing the appointmnet. The young lady who was making the appointment stated "oh no, you can have the filling first, it's fine, that's serious, we can push the cleaning out until March"...I ask her was she positive 5 times and she stated "yes". I ask again, even with my last visit being 1 to 2 years ago, and she stated "it's fine). Needless to say, I show up and she was WRONG!! I check in, nothing was verified, not what I was coming in for. I get called back, please keep in mind, my appointment was WRONG, and not one single person noticed this. I was in the chair before the error was even noticed. So as they are finally noticing something is wrong, and asking questions that should have been ask at the time of scheduling, I'm now told, the doctor can't see me, the doctor can't accommodate me, I was schedule in error. I have to have a cleaning first......my rubberbands, and wires need to be removed as well(Oh again, the rubberbands, and wire information was stated once I was in the chair, NOT at the time of scheduling) then come back in for the cleaning. Now if being scheduled for the incorrect thing wasn't time consuming, try being aggressively threatned by one of the techs(I think her name was Tammy,black, glasses,short hair,old enough to be someone's mom) just plain RUDE, now mind you, I didn't do anything, it was the office personnel, who scheduled my appointment incorrectly, and she states after I ask what's going on in a frustrated manor(but I didn't yell, or get loud), her reply.."listen you don't want it with me, don't go there with me, proceeded to take the thing off my neck after I told her I would do it, stating it's my job, I'll do it. I mean I swear I never experienced a medical professional this aggressive, and rude, I literally thought, I was going to have to defend myself. I proceeded to speak with the phyisican to find out before going to the front desk what I needed to scheduled, I get to the front desk and OMG, the office mananger LORD JESUS just as worse, so I am sure she could careless about the care and treatment of patients, she smiled and smurked the entire time, cut me off when I was trying to get information to contact corporate. Informed me there is no number for corporate only an email. Which after calling another more professional location and pleasnt sounding person in Stockbridge, I was giving a number. I informed them of everything the doctor stated, told them when I could come back based on what the doctor requested, and she offered tomorrow, after telling her about my braces, and stating my other dotor was on vacation and the young lady could not approve removing, the ruuberbands and wires until he returns which would be the 4th of Feb. She offered tomorrow, lol!!! I swear no communication or listening skills at ALL. So then, she says, well you can come back in April...I'm confused because it was your error and you're not going to own it, apologize, or try to get me in, in a timely manner, no response. I politely requested my records, paid from them, and will return tomorrow morning to obtain. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PRACTICE EVER, NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ANYTHING. THEY DO NOT CHECK PRIOR TO YOU COMING IN, AND WILL SCHEDULE WHATEVER THEY THINK IS APPROPRIATE WITHOUT CHECKING. read more

Scheduled a cleaning three month prior. I was sitting in the chair before they realized that a cleaning was not scheduled and they would have to reschedule me. Nobody introduced themselves or offered any help. I will keep going to my regular dentist in Mcdonough bc this place is too unprofessional and ghetto.
