We were driving through the town during a massive softball tournament so nothing was available. We found this KOA and luckily they had available campsites. We booked same day with no expectations and it was a beautiful facility. We wish we had more time to swim in the pool and play disc golf in the park! We have earned over 250,000 points with KOA. This is the nicest KOA park we've stayed in. I literally can't write all this park has to offer. When they say their spaces are 75', they are actually 100'! No joke! If you have a unit that is greater than 70', it will fit here! There is a water park for the kids, which is better than a swimming pool! There is a kids train that runs around the park! There is Corn-hole, pancake breakfast, and LIVE MUSIC EVERY NIGHT!!!! My only complaint about this place is the gravel potholed road. If it was paved it would be awesome. No mud when it rains would be great. But they try really hard to make the place enjoyable. Don't be fooled by the immediate surroundings! This campgrounds has TONS of shade and is so inviting for a multi-day stay. The landscaping is so lush and green. Tons for the kids to do. We decided not to make it a quick stop here and spend a couple days. Mid-day is super fun and easy to relax if you need a break from your road trip. Free pancakes don't hurt either! First impressions can be deceiving. Our previous KOA stop was in West Glacier (see our review) and it was outstanding - beautiful, mountain setting, immaculate landscaping, spacious campground, etc. So, as we drove into Great Falls KOA - off the highway, next to the Walmart - we were feeling a bit let down as we drove into what seemed like a cramped, run-down campground. Again, first impressions can be deceiving. As we settled in, we began to see the many positives this campground provides: + Sites are a bit cramped, but they offer full hook up options. Each site also has a picnic table and fire pit - they even have 3 pieces of fire wood on the fire pit for you. And free firewood!!! Great!!! Because, what's camping without a campfire?!?!?! Our previous campsite was under a fire restriction, so we couldn't use the fire pit. The campsite before that, there was no fire pit. The one before that charged $6.95 for a 3 piece bundle. + Upon arrival, a staff member leads/directs you to your site. + Mini water park (with fountains and slides). + Two hot tubs (for all ages which made our girls happy since our previous two campgrounds had adult-only hot tubs). + Playground (with swings, climbing rope, horse shoe pit, etc.) + Gift shop (with a play area for kids). + Large/clean showers (great for families with young children). + Trike rentals. + Live music. + Friendly and helpful staff. read more

This campground is perfect. Yes it's expensive ($83/night) but so worth your money!! You can get a weekly rate (around $32/night) or monthly rate that's about $500/month. They have live music on the weekends, great showers and bathrooms, a park, and a water park that gives the local water park a run for its money. They also have a petting zoo, a nature walk, and outside kitchen. They have free firewood, too!! If you want to just come for the water park its $15 per person but the place stays open until 10pm and will keep your kids busy all day. The landscaping inside the park is great. Small shrubs between the sites gives us plenty of privacy but this place does get quite crowded. New owners, Brandi and her husband, are super nice. They bought the park in February and keep the place immaculate. I highly recommend! read more

We travel North every spring. I often remark that we don't see towns at their best that time of year. Great Falls is no exception. This RV park looks like it is a real happening place in the summer. On April 26, there was only one other family camped there and the weather was dismal. But you can't hold that against KOA. Everything was clean and well maintained. I would give no stars if that were possible. $73 for a weed patch with no trees. The ground is so dry it has deep cracks. It appears they put all there effort into the interior sites and based on the positive reviews that is where they were placed. We were directed through the lush green space past a row of tall trees into this dry weedpatch they call RV sites. Yes they have crushed gravel roads and driveways delineated with railroad ties, yes they have power pedestals, water and sewer hook up. Yes each site has a table and fire pit...right in the middle of the very dry weed patch. Nothing of which makes you want to spend time outside. While hooking up utilities we plugged into the available cable connector only to get no channels on the TV. I called the office to ask about it, the young girl that answered said she wasn't sure if there was cable, "no one had ever asked before". I asked if she could check with someone that would know, she put me on hold (forget) for almost 10 minutes when someone else came on and basically said "I don't think we have cable". Argh! How can you not know basic info about your park? I then asked how much laundry was since the young gal that showed us to our sight said "like $5". The gal on the phone didn't seem sure when she said "I think it's $2.75. Save your money, you'd be better off staying in the Walmart parking lot just next door. read more

This was a great campground! It is a bit pricey - we paid about $45 a night for a tenting site. But there are many reasons why this campground is great (and worth the price you'll pay for a night here). The good: - The location is great - just at the outskirts of the city and right near a big Walmart so you don't have to go far to get supplies. - The staff that work here are friendly and very helpful. There is even a small store on site to get any provisions or snacks you may need. - There is a waterpark area with a shallow pool, waterslides, spray park and whirlpools. The water is cold, but it was refreshing on a hot day! - The KOA camp kitchen offers breakfast service. For $5 per person, we got enough food at breakfast that lunch wasn't even an option... we were still full! - There are lots of chickens that wander around the campground and they're so cute! - Free firewood. - Free cookies in the office. - You can rent bikes and trikes at the office. - Campers can use camp kitchens if they don't have a gas stove of their own. - Each campsite has electrical outlets. This was awesome for charging our cell phones. - No extra charge for showers. - Everything is clean and well-maintained. The bad: - The sites are a bit cramped, but it seemed to work out okay for the most part (we had some noisy neighbors, but we got over it). We would definitely stay here again when visiting the Great Falls area! read more

Nice park but needs some attention in the laundry room! Filthy! Most washers with detergent compartments were clogged with gunk and tops of washers were very dirty. Smoke alarm was disconnected and hanging by a wire. Lint was covering outside vent preventing proper ventilation. It was a fire hazard for sure. What a overpriced place! It was a mud pit and for what they charge a night we could have and should have stayed in a hotel. I would think for $70 bucks a night (US) the sites would be paved. My family has been driving accross country for 15 years from SoCal to the upper Peninsula of Michigan. My family loved this KOA! The bathrooms were clean and private, the store was cute, clean, and open late, and the employees were kind and helpful. There is an earlier review complaining about weeds in the landscaping, this is not accurate. The staff has planted small shrubs and leafy greenery in between each site to create a sense of privacy. If you are looking for a sleepover spot and need no amenities, this park is way over priced. We ended up using our generator next door at the Walmart. It was perfect. There's no better place in Great Falls. Whether you're in an RV or wish to stay in a cute cabin, this KOA is the best. The owners are exceptionally kind and work hard to make this a charming and comfortable place to stay. There's plenty to do; pool, hot tubs, dog park, hay rides, animals, free fire wood, laundry access and clean bathrooms. I especially enjoyed the raspberry's planted all around the campground it was a cute touch. We've enjoyed our stay immensely and we hope you do too. read more

Arrived after booking a reservation on-line and was assigned site #91. We were greeted by a pile of dog poop crawling with flies. Lots of other trash like pull tabs from beverage cans, paper and plastic were on the ground. The space is extremely narrow with only a small space to put up our chairs - in the dirt. The water system came on and left a large puddle right outside our door. It stayed muddy the entire time we were there and of course we tracked the mud inside our fifth wheel. There is a fire pit with free firewood, but had we built a fire, the rig would have gone up in flames due to the closeness of the pit. Not once during our three-night stay did we see anyone working the campground. I wish the young family who are owners can make a success of their business, but this park needs a lot of TLC! read more

They allow trash to overfill and flow over the bin. Stayed for 6 months, made sure to clean our site before departure, and contacted the office to complete our move out. Management informed us, they'll contact us once they did their final walk thru and refund our security deposit....crickets. After several attempts to contact them (not answering and no vm) we figured they needed the couple hundred more than we did. Employees were a pleasure to deal with during summer months, however the Mrs. owner was less than pleasant (lacks customer service and professionalism). Unfortunately Great Falls is very limited, but I'd stay at the other RV park. read more

Awesome KOA! The owners are doing a lot of renovating and are very friendly. The bathrooms/showers are very clean and are private with each shower having their own toilet & sink. There's so much to do and explore from the water park, hay ride, petting zoo, playground, nature walks and taking in the gorgeous views. The office/store is very nicely done as well. Lots of cool Montana stuff and camping themed items to buy. They also have a pancake breakfast. Very cute place! Highly recommend! read more

We had a great time at the Great Falls KOA! Bobby took us on a hay ride that the kids are still talking about. They got to feed the animals and pet the horses on property. Everyone was friendly, the grounds were clean and well maintained and we are so glad this was the first stop on our 2 week tour. We hope to be back again someday! read more

This KOA is a beautiful area considering it is right next to a relatively big city. It has lush vegetation, privacy on each side, the staff is very friendly, and good hiking trails with wonderful views! They have a pool, playground, concerts, and even hay rides. They do a lot of activities to bring the travelers together for a fun filled time. One of the best things about this campground is the showers are the best we've seen! Two stars. This park could be a lot better with some maintenance and minor improvements. Price is high for the quality of the facilities. Stayed here 8/11 - 8/14 2020. Stayed in the older area with mature trees. Many of the trees have dead upper limbs and thick new growth on the lower trunk. This makes for a high probability of camper to tree contact in the tighter spots. Our neighbor who pulled in for just one night had a 30-ft+ TT that must have hit four different trees on the in and out. The new spots on the east side are more open with less foliage to contact. Bath facilities are in above average condition with OK quantity. Wi-fi speed is definitely below average to nonexistent in the spots farther from the office. Access to Great Falls is good. Staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. Free pancakes from 8-10 every morning. We will likely stay here again and try the bigger and less treed lots. read more

Really family friendly campground. Lots of individual full bathrooms and great water pressure. Perfect for camping with kids! Crowded though so if you're looking for privacy or quiet this not it as it is an active place. Dog friendly but dog area is really small so not really a dog play park. Stayed here for 2 nights - little pricey but all Koa's are. Spots were a little tight getting in and out. The spots were nice and clean. Staff was nice. There was a cool water park area for the kids to play in. They also had FREE firewood - never find that anywhere! There was a neat nature walk where we saw an amazing sunrise and sunset. read more
