I love this place! It's massive! So many cool things. Everyone was nice. I was looking for a…read morepainting, but I got distracted by some lenses (I''m a photographer) and one of the employees saw me looking at the lens and told me there's a booth that has a lot of cool, old cameras, and about half way down the store there's another spot with a bunch of cameras for sale. With so many great thrift stores in the area, I don't hear many mention this one. It's too bad that…read moremore don't know about it, but the upside is that it's never crowded. I've never seen the lines get unbearably long like they can do at other stores. This store is on the smaller side, but it is nicely organized and I always find a few neat things. It has a large selection of books (my fave), and even though the clothing section isn't huge, the prices are a little less than some other places and I've seen some really nice brands (Anthro, J Brand Jeans, Athleta), mixed in. The clothing is organized by size--hallelujah! (Don't get me started on the places that organize by color.) I've seen some quality furniture and housewares as well as a bunch of randomness that would probably appeal to somebody out there. 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes I have trouble understanding their sales. They usually have a cart of free baked goods for customers. One time they were giving away frozen hams with your purchase!

The clothes are neatly organized and they have a very solid selection of clothing and shoes. I cannot believe I found rattan chairs on the sales floor. If I wasn't traveling to Texas and had a bigger vehicle with space, I would have snagged those chairs up. I found some really nice winter shoes that were in good condition that were actually in my size, 9. That's another thing, most Goodwill's you cannot even find your size without rummaging through the shoe selection that is unorganized and filthy, but at this location, the shoes were being organized by a staff member. The home decor and purse selection was lacking big time. I am very impressed by how clean this store is and how kind the staff was. I did think it was strange to have security officer at the front of the store as I've never experienced that at any Texas Goodwill before, but I wasn't too familiar with the Piedmont location so may be it is needed. If I'm ever in ATL again, I'll be visiting this location!
