I started a new job this year, after years of working from home, my office wardrobe needed a serious refresh, but with the inflation of clothing prices I had to rely on buying second-hand. Once you are a Woman of a Certain Age, you can't get away with cheap and cheerful, plus, quality is better constructed, so the fit and wear is better. Second Life was an essential to me: I found Cole Hahn and AVL leather flats (almost unworn), numerous silk blouses (Marchesa Voyage, Annie Griffin), two silk skirts (one bespoke, the other from Anthropologie), dresses, jackets, a string of cultured pearls, Chicos and Eileen Fisher trousers - oh, and my last trip there, I actually scanned the books, and the selection is equally good there. Prices are higher than your average thrift, but, as you can see, so is the merchandise. It's always fair, and they run sales on the regular. I've been inspired to start putting aside some of my almost unworn or lightly worn clothes so that I can contribute to this community treasure, and keep the cycle going. This shop reminds me of everything I love about Avondale Estates / Decatur / Scottsdale / Clarkston.

You can tell that Savers cares about the customer and truly puts an emphasis on service and quality. The ambiance of the store is casual and free flowing. You can scroll the aisles as you look through the items and begin to make your selections. Lastly, though the prices have increased some, it makes sense as the quality is superior and not worn out. Nonetheless, we are only talking a dollar or two, nothing major. If you are in the area, make sure you stop in for the experience of good service, a clean store, and great shopping.

The clothes are neatly organized and they have a very solid selection of clothing and shoes. I cannot believe I found rattan chairs on the sales floor. If I wasn't traveling to Texas and had a bigger vehicle with space, I would have snagged those chairs up. I found some really nice winter shoes that were in good condition that were actually in my size, 9. That's another thing, most Goodwill's you cannot even find your size without rummaging through the shoe selection that is unorganized and filthy, but at this location, the shoes were being organized by a staff member. The home decor and purse selection was lacking big time. I am very impressed by how clean this store is and how kind the staff was. I did think it was strange to have security officer at the front of the store as I've never experienced that at any Texas Goodwill before, but I wasn't too familiar with the Piedmont location so may be it is needed. If I'm ever in ATL again, I'll be visiting this location!

The space is huge and full, but not cluttered. It's the most orderly thrift store ice ever seen, but you do still feel like you're on a treasure hunt finding goodies at every turn. I have been able to furnish entire rooms from the things I've purchased here; with the help of Deidre. She's awesome. I call this place my favorite thrift store and always tell friends and family to check it out. Everyone I've referred loves it too. So if you love to decorate your home this is the place. Customer service has always been top notch. The only thing I can say is if you see it and like it don't hesitate buy it right away because once it's gone it's gone.
