The absolute rudest employees/volunteers. Instead of politely telling me a stroller wasn't allowed in your store, I was berated by Betsy. When I decided to just leave the store instead of shopping around, she followed me out to my car and attempted to "apologize." When I told her that one deserves to be treated the way she treated me, she continued to be argumentative while I'm trying to get my toddler secured in his car seat. read more

My mom comes here because she likes that it's well maintained and serves a large part of the community. When she dragged me here (yeah, I don't visit these places from a traumatic past life experience), she donated several items (no weapons or knives) and then we went inside. The ladies inside are all volunteers and super sweet too. I bought a picture frame and had a little conversation. In the off chance they don't serve the community as my mom attests, they give some ladies a great place to be friendly (and probably keeping them out of trouble too). read more

Markup city. I don't patronize thrift stores that try to mark up their prices to eBay prices. You can put a pretty name on it and call it a treasure but it is free stuff that you got and should not try to gouge people for it. There is a new trend of people trying to make their thrift stores more boutique like. It's still used stuff and unlike eBay I can't get my money back if I don't like it. I agree with previous reviewers that the customer service here is really inconsistent. I recognize that this shop is run by a charitable organization and that the volunteers are employees. However, the customer service issues are what is holding Attic Treasures back. It's an "okay" thrift shop, but if they developed a strong customer service philosophy and took the time to implement and enforce said philosophy with ongoing training and encouragement, it could become a great store. For now, I will avoid. There are too many other great thrifts in the area and my time to shop is limited. read more

Clothes smell great and are ready to be worn. Bought a lot of great kitchen items here. Jewelry is beautifully displayed. Bought some sandals in condition that are over$100 new. Upstairs they sell furniture. Sign for their sales&specials. They have bag sales seasonally that are well worth the wait&tons of people. One of my favorite places to thrift. read more

Attic Treasures wasn't quite what I expected. I go thrifting for cool stuff that I can repurpose, but this place was lacking that... pizazz that you get at other places. It was a lot of sequins (a LOT of sequins... scary amounts) and sweaters that would win out at any ugly sweater competition. Housewares was lacking, and since I was looking for a cool old blender today, I was disappointed. We left empty handed. It was packed though, and their prices were decent. So if you're looking for clothing it might be more up your alley, just not up mine. read more

This place is a treasure. I understand from talking to the ladies that not a single person is paid here....everyone is a volunteer. And everything they make is given to a charity to help displaced people. You can tell this place is special when you walk in the door. I have been shopping here for 3 years and always stop by on Tuesdays to see what is new. They close on Mondays to restock so Tuesday is always a good day. I have found so many treasures there, Gucci, Prada, I could go on and on. They only put out the good stuff, and the store always smells clean and good. My wife and I love scouring the thrift stores in Chamblee and had yet to visit this one. When we entered, we were accosted by an arrogant, rude employee/volunteer who admonished us for not giving undivided attention to her when she recited the special prices on clothing. She then made another snide and rude remark which I cannot repeat here. I called her out for her rudeness, and she proceeded to slam the plexiglass sign with the special prices in my face, whilst rolling her eyes in disgust. Never again- take your dollars elsewhere! Ended up passing on a cool vintage tux shirt I was eying- couldn't bring myself to enrich their coffers. I cannot imagine how clients of this charity are treated,given the attitudes observed here. read more

I really like this thrift store. I always find darling clothes for my daughter in great shape. Great prices on all the clothes. For the most part, you'll find clothing at this store -- some other items, but mainly clothes. As for the rude volunteers, I agree. I have never been treated the way Jon describes here, but I often feel like the women who volunteer here don't have the greatest social skills. Other than that, I do like the place and can always count on it for good quality clothes in great shape for my daughter. read more

Good merchandise. But staff run hot and cold. I just watched a staff member talk loudly down to a client that wanted to have a couple items held until tomorrow morning. "We are in the business to sell things, not hold things." I wonder if the customer was as bleached out as the staff member of she would have been spoken to with such lack of respect. Attic Treasures is an all volunteer organization who gives back the proceeds from their thrift shop to the community though philanthropic programs. They sell gently used clothes for men, women, and children; shoes; household goods; art and furniture at great prices. Each week they have a sale on one or more area of their store. We visited the store last week and found the people very kind and helpful. The selection was great and prices very good especially for men's clothes. Women and children have a very good selection of clothes. I bought a men's blazer and pants for less than $15.00 which was a top brand. This place is great! My co workers go here on a regular basis. When I finally got the chance to make it down I walked away with 3 beautiful $900 suits for $7 each, and a nice sport coat for $3. The staff - who are all volunteer - we're very pleasant and helpful. It is small so don't expect to find the whole world in there, but it is definitely worth stopping by! read more

I have been donating to and shopping at Attic Treasures for years. As in all thrift stores, it is feast or famine. Sometimes I find things and some days I don't - this store runs on donated items so I cannot expect it to have everything I want every time I come in even tho I usually have good luck. The volunteers have always been exceptional and work very hard to keep the store neat and well stocked. Best of all, I like to support all the projects that the Assistance League supports locally - Shephards's Spinal, uniforms for school children who can't afford them, layettes for Grady and especially layettes for babies that have died, and more. I spread the word any chance I get. Thank you ALA for all the good work that you do. read more
