No place can be perfect all of the time nor can it please every single person who goes there, BUT it's hard for me to see why this place doesn't have 5 stars. Customer service has been great every time I've been there-- I mean how many bakeries serve you a full slice of bread and butter to taste? I am hooked on their honey wheat bread- you lift the loaf and its weight tells you that this bread is for real. Plus it's so yummy. Their apple muffins, rustic sourdough, etc. So good. read more

I was there yesterday and was blown away by how rude the people there are, how arrogant the woman was that waited on me. i asked for a drip coffee three times and a price, she kept telling me i spoke muffled and she could not heard me, this in an abrasive manner. She then screamed at me, scrammed at me that my mask was not on correctly, she then said now what would you like to order? lol I turned around and walked out, never will return to this place. I am 66 years of age, disabled, i was treated horribly by this woman. read more

It was cold and rainy on my second day in Missoula. A true SoCal girl at heart, I really don't DO cold and rainy. I walked into this place and I was embraced by the warm smell of cinnamon bread and a woman asking me if I wanted a free slice :) Mind you, not a teeny little square of bread I would pick up with a toothpick. A SLICE. For FREE. But ~alas~ it went a bit downhill from there. Half of my free slice fell *tragically* to the ground. And the pastrami sandwich I ordered wasn't warm and comforting, but just REALLY BIG and slathered with cole slaw. Not that that was bad (it was actually still a pretty nice sandwich, and did I mention it was HUGE?)... just not what I was looking for. Same with another reviewer who said that they are not into bread, and I would surely make a huge exception to Great Harvest Bread! They give us a huge piece of bread to sample and everything tastes scrumptiously fresh and delicious. Crunch, to die for. Garden Pesto is very savory. Berry scone is really good, not too sweet, just the way I like it. They have breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I can't wait to try more yummies! read more

We were just at Great Harvest and very disappointed in their serving size. We have eaten here every time we come to town and always loved their sandwiches. We ordered their curried chicken sandwich and made 1/2 sandwich out of a whole one due to the very little they put on the bread. Not sure we will be back. read more

I am truly surprised to see that I had not written a glowing review of Great Harvest. We have been going there for 20 years and loving every minute of it. As a community backer and donator to good causes, Great Harvest is, may I say, Great! Thanks for all the sharing you do for your neighbors. But, I gotta tell you that while my husband loves the Dakota bread, my favorite is the onion/cheese bread. All week I have been having it with organic turkey and really enjoying it. Their cookies are so good, but tend to dry out if they are not eaten fast enough. This is a place to come to run into friends and grab some wholesome goodness. I do not like grains or gain based products. Never been a fan of muffins, cinnamon rolls, even cookies. I would not be caught dead eating a slice of bread all by itself. Except for here. From my first free sample of honey wheat bread I have craved everything these guys have to offer. Their cookies and muffins are some of the best I've ever tasted, I'm even excited to get just a loaf of wheat bread (the worst tasting kind of bread in my opinion). They have always been decent to me and my family.i wish they were open the original Saturday hours since I work past the time they close on Saturday.thats my only complaint.love the cookies,bread,baked goods,and things such as homemade syrup,honey,granola and pancake mix.i used to frequent the stores in Michigan.some selected marathon gas c/stores used to sell their cookies and bread in the locations in Michigan.i have no knowledge if it still happens since I moved out of the state since 2006 and was surprised to see a franchise store here in Missoula Montana for great harvest. read more

I've been too this place a few times now. I like the location, everything I've had there has been good. However, their service/products is to be desired. Today I went in to get my normal cinnamon bread (which is very good btw) I'm told by their counter person that they have no bread, that Mondays are slow to be started. It was 9am, and they opened at 7am, but have no bread. I drove across town to get nothing. Rather disappointing they don't keep diligent staff that could have stuff done when the store opens. No apology, just it'll be done later. Later experience, I went back for another try. I arrived, and was greeted very nicely when entering the store. The lady was very helpful. However, upon leaving I noticed one of the bakers coming out of the back door. He was wearing his "floured cloths as if he was just making bread." He went to his car which he had his dog in, and proceeded to walk his dog, and play with him/her. Why is a employee keeping a dog in his vehicle during his shift?. Did he change cloths before going back to work? This is utterly disgusting, and borderline abuse leaving that animal in his car during his work shift. read more

Great Harvest has excellent hearty/comfort food-style pastries and muffins. I especially love the cheesy roll (made with vegetarian sausage- it's delicious, I swear!). read more

Not only is the bread delicious, but the staff at the Missoula location is SO accommodating! They'll do a lot to help make your life easier, including special orders. This is a great place for a breakfast date, and a fun place to go for a snack. Plus they give out free samples! Would recommend. read more

Walked in at 10:27 am and stood there for a couple of minutes before was asked what I would like. I ordered a breakfast sandwich. The tenant looked up at the clock they had on the wall which showed 10:35 am and said they stop serving breakfast sandwiches at 10:30 am. I showed him that my phone read 10:31 am and told him I had been waiting for around 4-5 minutes before my order was taken. He gave me some BS excuse about how now they can't make breakfast sandwiches for sanitation reasons and said the lunch menu was available for ordering off of. It is clear they do not serve breakfast sandwiches until 10:30 am it is probably more like 10:15 am and most smart businesses will work with you if it is close to around the final time because it is worth the $ to do this for a customer. There is a high chance that customer will return because of that action. I left because I wasn't interested in their lunch menu and went around the block to the deli shop and ended up spending $56 because they were willing to make a breakfast sandwich for me after 10:30 am. First and last time going to this Great Harvest location. read more

This has always been a go-to lunch spot for our toddler and she loves their sandwiches. We've probably purchased over 100 of their sandwiches! I've noticed the quality of sandwich ingredients has really gone down hill over the last couple years and today was the worst it's ever been. The person working put an absolutely grossly overportioned amount of hummus to the point that it was falling apart. When I tried to rip the sandwich in half the cheese was so crusty and hard, obviously a very stale piece, it wouldn't break in half! It was like a piece of hard rubber. Spinach wasn't fresh and had visible dark mushy spots. We had to just throw the entire sandwich away. Such a waste! We won't be coming back for sandwiches unless ingredients improve a bit. Love their bread loaves and baked goods! Maybe they should just stick to doing what they do best and skip the sub par- in this case inedible sandwiches? read more

Super friendly staff and fresh baked blueberry cinnamon rolls to die for. Highly suggest you stop here and stock up on their breads and rolls. You can watch the baker while you wait. They also offer free samples (the sample is a full slice of bread with spread. I had their breakfast concoction: whole wheat flat bread with sausage, egg and savory spices baked in.
