Great food & service. Fun diner atmosphere. Good prices. Expect a limited wait, but well worth it, as it is a popular place! Our breakfasts were very good. When we are in Missoula again, we will have breakfast at Ruby's Cafe!

Very nice diner everybody was really attentive. Breakfast is nothing out of the ordinary, but it was nice and fresh. Their coffee was pretty good. Their biscuit was huge and sweet, which was surprisingly good. The vegan chipotle sausage was actually pretty awesome a little bit of a kick, but really good especially for someone like me with stomach issues that cannot have a specific meats. Great atmosphere very welcoming.

This is reminiscent of the 1970s dinner with the clientele a mix of the retired and teenager looking for a coffee and burger. The restaurant is clean, with tables cleaned quickly and the decor a mix of watercolors and posters all reminding you that you're in Montana. The burger was good, and the fries hand cut and a bit thick - which is my favorite. No complaints!

My first time visiting Montana, and I tried Ruby's. (I then returned again the next day lol) Let me say this first, the people, the people, the people made me fall in love with this place. The food is AMAZING which will make you like a place but mix that with great people and it's a wrap! I will always come to Ruby's when I'm in Montana. There is a parking lot and a few surrounding lots as well as street parking. The vibe inside is like "hometown family" warmth and love. I definitely recommend Ruby's Cafe!

I stopped here on my way to Coeur d'Alene and was very happy. I got eggs, hashbrowns, wheat toast, and the chipotle veggie sausage. The sausage was flavorful and had a nice texture, especially for a plant-based item. There were also many hot sauces to try which makes me happy as a heat queen. Service was quick and friendly. I would visit this place regularly if I lived in Missoula.

Fast and quick service! Food was fast and also scrumptious with decent portions. Definitely a busy spot but worth stopping at! (Huge biscuits!)

Visited Missoula and checked out Ruby's and it didn't disappoint. My omelette was great and the sausage gravy was top notch imo.

Great Food and Service. I really enjoyed the vegetarian chorizo sausage. Portions are large and prices are competitive.

Good food, cool wait staff, great atmosphere. It was crowded, so there was a 30 minute wait, but it was worth it.

It's a huge hangar type space filled with locals bustling in for their morning coffee. My typical way to know if I'll like a coffee shop is if their cappuccino is only offered in one (or two) sizes. Black Coffee had that-BINGO. Delicious and perfectly made. My only regret is not buying beans to brew at home.

4 stars Tucked into…read morea gorgeous old Quonset hut, Black Coffee Roasting Co. (525) is worth a stop for the building alone--that curved corrugated-metal shell, the tangle of Edison bulbs strung across the high ceiling, and a sunny little patio out back make it one of the more distinctive coffee spots around. The service was friendly and quick. I ordered at the counter and had my drink in hand in no time, with genuinely nice folks behind the bar. The menu has some fun, unexpected touches too--the mint cold brew is a standout you won't find everywhere, and it's refreshing without being gimmicky. The pastry case is where they really shine. House-made bialys, savory danishes with coconut greens and pork belly, sweet danishes with black tea and roasted rhubarb, plus a rotating lineup of cookies and tea cakes. Everything looks like it's made with real care, and the bakery side (Grist) clearly takes the craft seriously. One heads-up: there's no WiFi. If you're hoping to post up and grind through a few hours of work, this isn't the spot for it--plan on a shorter visit or bring a hotspot. For a quick, high-quality coffee-and-pastry run, though, it's a winner. Come for the architecture and the mint cold brew, stay for the bialys--just don't expect to get much emailing done.

HOWEVER, you guys have got to get your shit figured out. The cashier gave us a number placard, and told us to stay at the front to get our drinks before sitting. So we did. Employees were abuzz, swarming like ping pong balls, and making food/drinks. We stood and waited, then after like 15 minutes a gal came out and handed me my plate of food!? We hadn't even gotten our drinks yet. *Why was I being handed food first, standing, versus receiving my drink and then served food while seated at our table?* I wandered to find a table, and found myself weaving through a bunch of people. It was awkward since all the tables/chairs are spaced SO close together. My husband stayed at the front for our lattes, as I started to eat alone. :( We loved the food, but we felt unhappy about the fracas and chaos. This is NOT the way to run a restaurant. We sat and enjoyed our lattes, and the eclectic ambiance. Finally another 12 to 15 minutes later, my husband's biscuits and gravy arrived. I am a slow eater, and I was already done eating, when he began to eat. :( Sad to say, our experience was extremely disappointing. Totally disjointed, and it left us feeling frustrated and irritated. This shouldn't need to be said, but you guys need to serve people in the order they come in. Get those tickets done asap, and it'll clear up your insane bottleneck you create by serving the "easiest" drinks and meals first. Yummy food, but NOT a good dining experience. Also, there are some funny reviews whining about feeling uncomfortable that this place is anti-ICE. Pro-lgbtq. "Oh the horror" to be inclusive, and tolerant of other people! I just know what you would've been balking about in the 1950's... Clyde Coffee is said to be a "liberal" coffee shop, but if you think about it, this is simply human decency... Treat others with basic kindness, and you won't feel such guilt. :)
