This is reminiscent of the 1970s dinner with the clientele a mix of the retired and teenager looking for a coffee and burger. The restaurant is clean, with tables cleaned quickly and the decor a mix of watercolors and posters all reminding you that you're in Montana. The burger was good, and the fries hand cut and a bit thick - which is my favorite. No complaints!

My first time visiting Montana, and I tried Ruby's. (I then returned again the next day lol) Let me say this first, the people, the people, the people made me fall in love with this place. The food is AMAZING which will make you like a place but mix that with great people and it's a wrap! I will always come to Ruby's when I'm in Montana. There is a parking lot and a few surrounding lots as well as street parking. The vibe inside is like "hometown family" warmth and love. I definitely recommend Ruby's Cafe!

I stopped here on my way to Coeur d'Alene and was very happy. I got eggs, hashbrowns, wheat toast, and the chipotle veggie sausage. The sausage was flavorful and had a nice texture, especially for a plant-based item. There were also many hot sauces to try which makes me happy as a heat queen. Service was quick and friendly. I would visit this place regularly if I lived in Missoula.

Fast and quick service! Food was fast and also scrumptious with decent portions. Definitely a busy spot but worth stopping at! (Huge biscuits!)

Atmosphere is very Montana. It'll transform you back in time to an old time cafe. Very cute and rustic. Ordered the Firehouse Burger with green chile, pepper jack, and bacon. The green chile gives it a taste of mild heat and is very good. Service is friendly, fast, and tends to your needs nicely. The milkshakes come in classic glasses and my kids loved it.

Visited Missoula and checked out Ruby's and it didn't disappoint. My omelette was great and the sausage gravy was top notch imo.

Great Food and Service. I really enjoyed the vegetarian chorizo sausage. Portions are large and prices are competitive.

Good food, cool wait staff, great atmosphere. It was crowded, so there was a 30 minute wait, but it was worth it.

The location makes it very convenient to go to the very pleasant bookstore next door while waiting for a table - there is no shortage of customers even on a Wednesday late morning. The line is well-managed with a waiting area and restaurant pagers handed out. It seems like a place that is frequented as much by young people as retirees. They have a combo plate that includes two eggs, hash browns, a protein (I've so far only tried the corned beef hash), and two pancakes starting at 17 with upgrades available for the pancakes. It can easily be split for breakfast and offers a really good variety of things. The corned beef hash, hash browns, and pancakes are all top notch in my opinion (and the eggs are good eggs also). There are numerous Best Breakfast Winner posters hanging above the window to the kitchen and I don't think this place needs much support - they seem to be doing quite well - but in case this reaches someone who is visiting Missoula and doesn't know about it, it's well-worth a stop. The restaurant has a large painting of grizzly stadium and a collection of framed advertisements from the 20th century on the walls. I ordered the veggie browns. The sourdough toast was excellent. The salsa that came with the browns was excellent. The sour cream and salsa really tied the whole dish together. Overall, I would recommend Paul's Pancake Parlor for breakfast in Missoula.

The bread, texture and flavor were perfect! Although I was just visiting, I'd be shocked if there were a better sandwich shop in this town. There is also a grab and go and souvenir section that's very convenient. It was busy and we did have to wait a while for our orders but it was so worth the wait. Their biggest issue is that, although the staff is usually very pleasant and friendly, they seem to have a lot of turnover and it feels like half the time we go in, we're dealing with someone new. This also means that the service is often exceedingly slow, even when it's not particularly busy. I know they must be aware of the problem because they'll often warn customers that there's going to be a 30, 45, or even hour+ wait. It also doesn't help that some of their servers aren't the most observant and, on more than one occasion, I've watched a server walk by our table with what turns out to be our order only to take another two or three laps to notice us and our order number (which is always just sitting out in the open at the edge of the table).
