I called to set one up for my uncle to start from square one and replace his hearing aids. The lady on the phone only told me what they couldn't do when I was going over my Uncles history. I said I wanted to start from square one and would pay what was necessary - in between getting interrupted by her. She said she would need a signed Dr form - no problem - and to fax it in. I said I was outside with no pen, could you please text me or e-mail me the fax phone number. She said she could not. I was surprised as who does not have these capabilities? I asked in a questioning tone-you do not have e-mail? She said nastily - I'm busy and have another patient waiting. I scheduled the appointment, and after hanging up and thinking for a few minutes - if this basic phone conversation is so hard i don't believe I would get the service I need so I cancelled the appointment. There are other providers in the area.

Dr. Kelli Bogue, a licensed audiologist, was very pleasant and was very patient and thorough gathering my history to understand my individual hearing situation. I never felt rushed. Any questions I had were answered with respect and she made sure I understood clearly what my issues were. Dr. Bogue was recommended by my primary care physician after I had visited a local hearing place and was less than satisfied with the visit as well as the clinician who was less than qualified to be testing for hearing loss. Hearing places representing a specific product are more like salesmen than audiologists. The prices quoted are 3 x's higher than what Dr. Bogue told me the best hearing aid on the market would cost. Beware of any quotes over $5,000, it is probably the testers commission you are paying for. That is $5,000 for both ears. Thank you Dr. Bogue for restoring my faith that good quality doctors are still out there with the patient's best interest listed as #1.

Not having an audiologist in this area, I called Community Hearing Center in the morning to see if they could look at my hearing aid. Dr Bogue was able to squeeze me in that afternoon. I knew it was time for a tube replacement but the Dr also saw an issue with the ear clip. Getting a new ear clip would take about 7-10 days. In the meantime she was able to provide a temporary repair on the broken ear clip, which is making my life so much better as I await the new part. Dr Bogue and her office manager were extremely helpful and accommodating. Totally 'Blue Chip' experience.
