Terror on Tillson Street is an annual Halloween event in the picturesque village of Romeo about an…read morehour north of Detroit. This event attracts thousands of visitors to the town to view the elaborate Halloween decorations by the residents of Romeo, but in particular, the homes on Tillson Street. Best of all, this is all free and the street is always open to the public, day or night. On the weekends before All Hallows' Eve, I recommend arriving shortly before sundown to beat the rush of people that descend onto Tillson Street at night. There is free municipal parking behind the shops on Main Street by the police station. Parking spots closest to Tillson Street typically go for $5. I found a spot in the municipal parking lot and strolled the various streets on my ten-minute walk to Tillson Street. There are other homes around town that go all out for Halloween besides Tillson Street, and I recommend checking them out too. I preferred arriving before sunset because it gave me extra time to see a few other streets and stroll Tillson Street before it became super packed. It also made my second walkthrough after sundown much faster. I hear that it's a madhouse on October 31st, but this is when kids can trick or treat on Tillson Street to collect candy. It all sounds fun but I don't think I'd want to deal with the crowds. The direction of the flow of foot traffic begins on Tillson and Main Streets where a popular Dairy Queen is located. After crossing the street at Tillson and Sisson, visitors will make their way back down Tilson toward Main Street. At the end of the walk, there will be cider and donuts available for a donation. However, if you turn the corner you may see a table set up by a local church giving away free donuts, cider, water, and hot chocolate. Not saying this will be available every year, but it's worth it to check before shelling out money for a drink and a snack. The decorations are amazing! Lots of special effects where you can see ghosts apparitions moving in the windows of the homes and even a few surprises like a skeleton popping out of a coffin. I loved the animated Halloween decorations including a dummy wearing an Ohio State Buckeyes shirt being electrocuted, skeletons dancing, and a witch holding a girl over a cauldron. The clown house was excellently creepy. All that is needed is for Pennywise to stick his head out of the sewer! Terror on Tillson Street really is a must-see Halloween attraction for anyone in the Detroit area in October. Even though the decorations are largely the same each year, I wouldn't mind making Tillson Street a Halloween tradition. The townspeople are friendly and the homes are so beautiful. Romeo really is a storybook Midwest town that is a beautiful place to visit in the autumn.

He's collected all the pieces and exhibits for Mythos and he opens his collection to the public on the weekends. I brought a date here as a stop for something a little out-of-the-ordinary. I will say I expected it to be a little larger but all the exhibits were interesting. There are small placards with descriptions and informative blurbs for a lot of the pieces so if you have the time and the interest you could spend an hour here reading through the museum. If you're just browsing through the works it'll be a quick 30 minute tour. It was $20 a head for adults. I think the favorite exhibit for me was all the museum quality animal skull recreations and fossils with an emphasis on pre-historic animals.

But overall a very cute and cool oddities museum with a great curator. All nerds and weirdos alike would find this place charming! If you're in Pontiac and have some time to spare this place is worth checking out, even if you have littles! Admission is $10 to get in, and they have two wild looking hearses in the parking lot. The museum is small, but has lots of different stuff to look at. They have actual human bones and skulls, coffins, and lots of mortuary tools from different time periods. It was quite interesting to look at and the owner, who also greeted us when we walked in, told us all about his collection. I believe he said he was also a mortician? He was very knowledgeable and personable. I wouldn't call it a gift shop at the front of the store, but they do have several different types of things for sale like t-shirts, incense, and other interesting artifacts. Overall a very unique experience, and the owner is very insightful and full of knowledge.

The lighting and music was appropriately spooky and made the visit even more enjoyable. On busier day so I suspect parking may be an issue, but it wasn't a problem for us. I went through the collection about two or three times and kept noticing new things I hadn't seen before. Altogether I think we spent about an hour and enjoyed every minute of it. We will certainly consider coming back someday.

The ambience of this drive-in movie theatre is very welcoming and family-friendly. Everything is well-coordinated, and the management takes care of parking and other aspects very well. Plus, I loved the food trucks and snacks available at this venue. This is a budget-friendly option for watching two movies together, and it sure felt like an event. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I am very much planning to go back.

$15 to get in Monday through Thursday, and $20 on Friday and Saturday…read more Had a great time here with friends and would definitely recommend going to check out the grandstand events as well as all of the rides and other attractions. Of course there are games and food stands to visit while you're inside. For the price, I don't think you can find much cheaper of a fair to attend. The entrance price covers all the rides inside and the events as well. Only thing to pay once you get inside is for any food or drinks that you want and some of the typical pay-to-play games.

It's randomly located in District 1 of GLC and right at one of the "corners" of the mall where I believe it used to be a Bed Bath & Beyond location or something, so it's one of the really big store spaces. It's a massive space and that meant plenty of room for all the different Friends exhibits! My friend and I went at 4:30 pm on a weekday and there was barely anyone there! I'm curious to know what this place looks like on the weekend as when we walked in, there were the line ropes in place that seemed to indicate they normally get long queue lines. I was glad for no lines though and just being able to take as much time throughout the experience as possible for my friend and I - it was such fun! All the workers are so friendly and there are so many photo ops! I would highly recommend taking as many pictures as you can with your own phone because the spots where photographers are taking your photos means at the end of the exhibits, once you get to the gift shop to view all your photos, you'll need to pay for one of their photo packages in order to get most of the photos you took inside the experience! The only photos they give you for free are the PIVOT couch ones, which let's be real...those are the best ones anyways, but still! But there are still plenty of photo ops where there is no professional camera/photographer ready to take your photos and just one of the employees waiting for you to hand them your phone to take photos, so it does balance out nicely! If you're a Friends fan, I just highly recommend you come here! It was so fun to be immersed in all the sets and I was giddy the whole time! Friends may be overrated given how overexposed it's been in recent years, but it was still so fun for me and so nostalgic as I remember watching this show as it aired LIVE growing up in my parent's home and then finding this show again when it came to Netflix over a decade after it finished airing! It's nostalgic and just so so delightful! I don't want to spoil it too much, but you basically get to see everything you probably have ever wanted to see! The opening theme song sequence set, Monica & Rachel's apartment, Joey & Chandler's apartment, the hallway between their two apartments, Central Perk, and so much more!!! Pay particular attention to all the signs they have as they fill you in on so much of the detail and background of Friends! At the end of the experience, you find yourself at the gift shop! It's cute and has some pretty unique items (like Monica's break up jam and a Central Perk coffee mug purse a la Loungefly) and this is where you can view your photos. They had staff willing to take pics with your phones (although not the greatest but I figure it is because they want you to buy the ones they are taking and selling at the end). Took us an hour and ten minutes to go through. I expected there to be a bit more there such as more quotes, reflections, or memoribilia from the show, actors, and those involved with the show. Many of the quotes on the walls were directly from the show. They did have a video from the costume designer and blurbs from the show writers. The timeline of relationships for the characters was very interesting!

We had access to the stage, the green room, the kitchen, and more, with a knowledgeable person to run the sound and light boards for far less than you would expect. The black box theater was the perfect canvas for us to decorate to make her red carpet karaoke party a smash hit. At the end of the night, she was already asking to use the theater again next year. We will definitely be back!
