Don't be misled by the small size and humble interior, Gamers Haven is exactly what it says on the…read moretin: a haven. Weekly and Monthly events, friendly staff, a lively community, just some of the many reasons I personally consider Gamer's Haven to be my favorite third space. I've been coming there since 2021, first entered the store during a flesh and blood tournament to pre-order the newest edition of killteam to begin my war gaming journey, and the haven has been there with me every step of the way. I've made new friendships, epic and hilarious stories, and countless of poor financial decisions that I wouldn't take back just because it helped kept the lights on. Do be warned, the previous owner had a "No-Wotc" products policy for reasons too long to explain here, and the newer owners decided to keep it, so if you're looking for D&D or MTG, you won't find it here. Personally, the store doesn't need WOTC anyway. Because of this policy, they've expanded out to different TCGs such as Flesh and Blood, Lorcana, Riftbound, and Uni-Versus. There is also a lively wargaming scene featuring, of course, Warhammer and other GW games, but also Bolt Action, Konflict '47, and Moonstone. There unfortunately isn't much of an RPG scene there at the moment, but private rooms are available to use, and there are groups who regularly meet at the haven for RPG nights. And of course, there is a healthy selection of board games available and a weekly board game meet up in case you need people to play with. Whatever reason you have to escape from reality into the realm of tabletop, the haven has an open spot for you.

I am not a "gamer" and know very little about these things. My son is beginning to play and is interested in looking around. The owner was there, and he was wonderful! So friendly, personable and gave us all kinds of advice, suggestions and gave us the run-down of how the place held game nights. The place was very clean and there was a lot of pride in how he cared for the store. We are already looking at our schedules so that my son can attend a night where they teach you how to play a new game. Thankful that we stopped in and now looking forward to becoming regular customers.

The place is jammed packed - seriously packed to the ceiling with tight aisles and things piled in between, so hope you're not claustrophobic. Still definitely worth a road trip out here to visit.

First off, my wife felt completely uncomfortable. The owner (or who i presume to be the owner) who "helped" us was staring her up and down the entire time. She felt sexualized and dirty. Instead of making a scene, we exited the establishment with the same gentleman complaining how we left his door open (when we did not btw). If you are a woman, I would suggest avoiding this place like the plague. Second, my friend asked what kind of deal would be given for buying a box of cards. The owner said he would be paying $8 a pack for the full box, same as buying singles. Most establishments would drop by a much larger amount than this. Third and finally, you can barely walk through the place. I am not a large person, but i was struggling to walk through to even browse. One time i was looking at decks of cards, and i was yelled at to get put from behind the counter. Understandable, except for the fact that the entire counter was loaded with boxes of unsold merchandise. One could not tell that it was a counter at all. Once again, I want to reiterate that this store and its owner gave us a terrible experience. It is establishments like these that give TCG's a bad name. PLEASE stay away from here!

This Michaels is located in Brooklyn neighborhood (listed in Parma if you shop Michaels online)…read more This was my first visit to this location. I found a few fun designs for paint by the numbers and stopped in to get them. STORE/INVENTORY: The store is clean and spacious. The inventory is expansive. The store currently sells holiday season merchandise - Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I was especially excited about pink decor! Pink ghosts, holiday trees, Santa's, and more. It made me consider pink tree this year. Despite extensive inventory, I wasn't able to find anything that I was looking for. Specifically cross stitch kits and paint by the numbers kits. The inventory displayed online did not match store display. There was no one to ask so I purchased only one item - cross stitch spruce kit. SERVICE: There is no service at this store. It makes no sense because there are plenty of employees on the sales floor. Folks working at the front of the store at a table don't acknowledge any guests. Employees working the checkout to help customers with checkout don't engage with customers. It's very robotic transaction with self-checkout and no human interaction. It's really strange and should change. I liked holiday inventory at the store. I'm not very enthusiastic about service at the store. If there was friendliness or approachability, I would inquire about more items and get them. The latter makes me not want to visit again.

Nicest guy ever! I…read morestopped into this little shop the day before Valentine's Day to pick up a gift certificate for my boyfriend's son. He's been such a good boy lately, I wanted to get him something to spend at his favorite card shop. He had been talking about this place non-stop since his Dad took him here a few weeks back. Anyways, I rushed to get there before 5PM and got there around 10 mins before closing. I thought he might be annoyed to help me, but he was the sweetest ever! He's cash only (no checks) but there's an ATM in the plaza which he suggested to me that I stop over there and didn't make me feel rushed at all. I came back with $20 and he filled out the gift certificate right in front of me, letting me fill in certain parts. He also asked me about who was receiving the gc, so I got to share with him the story of this adorable 9 year old who loves his shop. He then shared with me that he remembered my boyfriend and his son--and then told me that particular day stuck in his memory as one of the best days he's had in a while, since three new customers came in with their sons. I absolutely love this tradition and am overjoyed that my family is continuing it on! Furthermore, everything he has in his shop is very cheap! I didn't know how much that $20 gift certificate would get him, but when we returned all together, he got a TON of packs and special cards. This kid was elated and it seemed like the shop owner truly enjoyed having us there, chatting with us while we asked questions and shopped. Highly recommend! Remember: CASH ONLY!
