I don't have a lot of comparisons, because where I live near Ft. Meade, there aren't many nurseries nearby. This place is definitely worth the drive for me. Parking is ample, but a little tricky. I mistakenly drove around to the commercial side and had to turn around to get back to the non-commercial area. There were lots of wheeled carts of different sizes. Everything is laid out according to types of plants and their needs - very efficient. I only spoke to three employees, two at some length, and they were so friendly and helpful - big plus for me! I take my business elsewhere if I don't feel welcome. Here's a little oddity that you want to watch out for: GPS kept wanting me to turn onto a side road next to an auto dealership, on the wrong side of Highway 301. (This was coming south from Gambrills/Crofton.) I submitted a correction, but till they fix it be aware the nursery is on the east side of the highway, sort of opposite the auto dealership.

I was especially impressed that he shared a mock photo showing how the new plants would look in my space, this was super helpful in really visualizing what the landscaping would look like and help me make a decision. We also had him do some power washing of concrete areas and a window well, and in the words of my husband these came out "hilariously clean". This is specifically for the landfill, off of Whitehouse Road…read more I checked the website, and apparently regular cars do not have a fee; however, other vehicles such as pick up trucks and amended vans have a minimum fee of $10 to dump based on weight. At the entry, your car is weighed, and you have to pay in advance, I used a credit card (they don't accept AMEX), and a hold for $93 is placed on your credit card. I'm not sure why it is such an odd amount, but it is what it is. Apparently, if you BRING CASH there is smaller upfront payment, I believe like $20. Since I was dumping mattresses, we had to go to landfill number one, which is the first turn on the left. Drive slowly, as the road is curvy and bumpy, plus it is shared with larger trucks and machines. There is no smoking at all, I'm assuming because of the gas... So, I'll be honest, it wasn't what I was expecting... I was thinking it was a transfer site, like the other location on Brown Station Road or like the dump in Baltimore City, or MoCo, where trash is dumped in a bin. Nope, this is dirt, smells, and birds, lots of them. There is a worker to direct you regarding where to dump your trash; although, I'm not sure if he available to assist you with lifting and such. IMHO, I'd bring a friend, or maybe just pay someone else... *shrugs shoulders* On the way out take your receipt and reweigh your car. You will receive the difference. The staff there were super friendly, and explained everything as needed. Although this was a pretty chill experience, I'm not used to having to pay to dump trash. Other than that, no problems.

What I can tell you is this -- I came here looking for decent suits and I found *many* of them. Racks and racks full of suits. I tried on around 10, I bought six of them. In that group of six, only *one* will need alterations. That's right -- five suits bought and ready to wear for right around $100. I've been to a bunch of thrift stores in the DMV. Really, look at my other reviews. Bottom line -- if you want real variety in men's suits, I haven't found any place better yet. Yes, maybe some thrifts have *nicer* suits on a per capita basis, but at this store, you'll have a lot of options and if you have a relatively common body-type like mine, you can come away with a full closet if you want it.

Fantastic Experience!…read more Kathleen and her team are amazing! It was a fantastic experience from the beginning to the end of our first landscaping phase. Our first contact with Petro Design/Build Group was with Tricia, who walked us through the process, answered our questions, and put us in contact with Kathleen to schedule our consultation. Tricia is very professional, personable, and a joy to talk to. Kathleen arrived at our home for the consultation - not just on time but early. Immediately, we were greeted with a smile and a kind nature. We walked her through the yard, and she asked us what we were looking for. She is extremely easy to talk to and is very engaging in listening and suggesting options. The whole time she took notes, which was refreshing to see since previous landscapers we consulted just nodded and provided a design that did not meet any of our needs. She evaluated the slope of our yard to determine the wetter areas and took measurements. When she was done, she told us she would have a design for us by the end of the following week. We had our consultation on Friday, and she actually had our design emailed to us that following Monday. She provided a detailed sketch with multiple concept options and walked us through each area of the design. She responded quickly and answered all of our questions completely. She was always patient and understanding and never once did the process feel overwhelming. For once, we felt included and comfortable with every step of the process. Once our HOA approved her design, we were scheduled in for the first phase of our landscaping project - the front yard. She arrived the first day, preparation day, before the landscaping installation team. She went over her design ensuring measurement and placement of plant beds. Once Matt and his team arrived, Matt and Kathleen walked through everything before the team started the planting prep. Matt and his team are very courteous, professional, and extremely hard workers. We have terrible soil in our yard. It is a new build, so not only hard clay soil but plenty of construction debris throughout. They powered through removing grass, manually tilling in compost (due to nearby utility lines), and hauling away all of the debris. The second day was planting day! Kathleen arrived with all of the native plants and the trees were delivered. Kathleen and her team laid out all of the plantings according to the design with a few last minute tweaks that were perfect. She then walked us through the layout and checked if we were happy with the layout before any planting occurred. The team did an amazing job of planting everything and incorporating a few transplants. I cannot say enough about what an amazing experience we have had! We are excited to start our next phase this in early fall.
