They are all about your money, BUT the MINUTE you try to do business on selling or trading....forget it, they treat you like they have no idea who you are. Don't waste your time making a special trip here. They advertise many new 2022 models on their website and on Cycle Trader but when you get to the showroom the bike has been "just sold" but they'll gladly take a $1000 deposit to reserve another one. Though they don't know when they'll get one in. Specifically I was interested in a 2022 Heritage and their website and Cycle Trader listings both indicated they had 3 in stock with 7 miles on the odometer. I drove over 300 miles round trip to find the only Heritage they had on the floor was a 2018 listed for over the MSRP of the new model I wanted to look at in person. Old school bait and switch. Now I can understand one listing being a legitimate one off case of another customer beating me to the sale but 3 listings for 3 different colors of the same make and model all magically having 7 miles on the odometer is not accidental. Initially buying the bike was a wonderful experience as per my review. Having the bike for 1 day it already had issues. I was told by Dalton it would be picked up 1.5 weeks later (originally, I was told 1-2 days lead time is all they needed to pick up by Dalton as well) also found out my bike never went through a safety inspection prior to sale. I was told they would service it for free---you think!! Then they told me my tire has a nail in it.... I rode it for 2 hours on the way home from purchase not being safe in the first place and I need to put tires on it. Communication was terrible, had to ask several questions to get simple answers. Really disappointing after the sales experience. They are short-handed, I heard that like 6 times.....I wasn't in a rush...check all my issues before calling me not 1 at a time. My brake issue is still not resolved. I had it checked and verified it has a problem from another dealer closer to home. Have a shop foreman or someone tenured test drive your bikes to verify a safety concern before you release an unsafe and uninspected bike. Maybe show a customer who spent 1500 on initial visit in accessories/apparel some appreciation and replace the tire as goodwill. Just a horrible experience and I could not recommend this store for service. read more

Great South replaced my cam chain tensioners. The price was better than the local service shops, they gave me a service date and only had my bike for 24 hours. Friendly service manager, who gave me options with good information about my bike. Than you and I will come back when needed. read more

RACIST OWNER First off I would like to say Teresa and Cliff are awesome and have nothing to do with my horrible experience at Great South. Everything I asked of them they made sure it happened despite the push back they received from the crappy service department. Lets begin then. When I purchased this bike I was promised some accessories would be installed and the service department tried to renege on their promise and push it off for 2 weeks but Cliff took care of that. JB the service manager talked me into getting the stage 4 upgrade stating "its just a charge on a credit card". JB misquoted price by $800. Even though the upgrade was scheduled 2 weeks in advance on the day for delivery they again reneged on promise and didn't have the decency to call me to let me know I had to call them to find out they cannot deliver AGAIN. I rode in the rain to deliver the bike myself and was promised delivery date of first thing saturday and they failed again to deliver and at the last minute requested a tuner that they could have asked for the multiple times I was at the dealership but they waited until I left to require me to take another 45 min drive just to hand off this tuner. I finally got my bike on Monday was instructed to put 500 miles on it and bring it back for an oil change. I scheduled the oil change today and they promised I would be the first bike worked on and i would be in and out. At 915 am I check on the status and was informed no techs had showed up and i need to reschedule but if I hadn't checked the status i would still be sitting there AGAIN. No decency to say hey we have failed again to do what we said we are going to do. Enter racist owner. I asked to speak to owner about the service I wasn't receiving and his response. "Take your business somewhere else" no apology no acknowledgement that service was provided multiple times .... in fact this racist owner had the nerve to have an outlaw biker in the background as an intimidating factor and appeared to want to say the N word but thought better. I wish I was making this up. Over $50k spent at this dealership to be treated like that because of the color of my skin. read more

I purchased my motorcycle from them, they installed some parts at the time of purchase, of which were some 14 in bars. After which I had a problem locking the forks. I took the bike to another dealership and I was told the clutch cable was routed wrong. I had it fixed and I call GS to take care of the cost because of their error and was told that they wouldn't honor their error. That dealership is straight garbage. After riding my 2020 Road Glide Limited (bought new from G.S. 2 years ago) to the west coast and Sturgis this summer, I decided I wanted a lighter bike for shorter trips. I was not sure which Harley was the right one. I ended up taking three different test rides until I decided on a new Road Glide Special. Travis the Salesman, Cliff the Sale Manager and Kevin the GM all were extremely patient with me to make sure I got the right bike. Wayne and Tweet worked with me to accessorize the bike like I wanted. Maintenance jumped right on it to install the parts. It took two half day visits and a day of phone calls in the middle to end up with exactly what I wanted. Even when I changed Horses in mid stream, I never felt any pressure, just lots of patience and I was very pleased with the price. Being we were out of town, they bumped him up to the front of the line in service. He ended up getting both tires replaced and was In and out in about an hour and a half. We also enjoyed a free burger, hot dog, chips, and drink while we waited. All staff were knowledgeable and helpful. read more

I'm a big fan of this shop. I don't have my own hog, but I look bitchin' on the back of my man's, in my sexy Harley jacket acquired at this very store. The staff is always friendly and available when we go in, and I love checking out the new bikes they have in stock. The guys in the parts department are always helpful when we have questions. I don't believe this location has the Rider's Course, though. It'd be nice if they did. read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE I was visiting from out of state and purchased some bike pedals for highway driving a a gift. I KNOW I did not purchase them from this dealership I purchased them 2 hrs away in North Atlanta, however I thought Harleys Mottos was we are all one big family.....not true. I went to ask if they would be able to exchange the pedals for the correct ones as I bought them for the wrong bike and was told by the parts manager no way, they would be loosing money if they did that. I asked if it would be possible for them to assist me by having the other dealership send the new pegs down and they sent them back No that would also cost money. Well can you at least help me call the other dealership for assistance? NO! The manager then walked away. HOW RUDE. I am in my late 60's female and know nothing about these bikes, but I was disgusted how rudely I was spoken to. They would offer me no assistance whatsoever. He said he would in no way help any competition. I then felt like he no longer wanted me in the store. CLEARLY the ONLY thing this store cares about is MONEY and not Customer service! Took bike in for 2 tires, that was fine. When bike wouldn't start for test ride, was told I had old, bad gas. Then charged $274.79 for carb rebuild (which was done last year). $198.00 labor ? Will not deal with Great South again ! read more

Took my bike there to have a brake arm and pedal installed. When I got home one of the clamps on my exhaust heat shields was missing. Since they have to loosen some exhaust parts to get to the brake arm its logical to assume that this issue may be caused by them ( id never had issues with this clamp coming loose before) when I called and asked about said clamp I was told by someone ( Andy was his name) that he would go see if the clamp was left in the technicians area and he would call me right back. Three hours later I called back and was told that my missing part ( only a 30$ clamp thankfully)was not their fault and therefore not their responsibility. I'd heard good things about this place but I'll definitely not be going back!!! A 30$ clamp will pretty much cost them thousands in the long run. read more

The worst experience of my 50 years of life by far makes me think about giving up Harley riding. I got cheated by this HD shop do not trust them with your M/C. Keep far away from this shop and tech. PJL !!! My stator went out in GA on my ride from TX's to Carolina. Pulled into Great South HD they put on a new stator it only lasted 2 thousand miles. All 4 bolts from the stator broke off inside my case. THE CASE IS NOW RUINED!!! Was either bad bolts or more likely they were over torqued. The great south HD says its not there fault.
