Triumph Motorcycles is one of the great revival and success stories of the past century. I've…read moreowned two of their motorcycles over the years and each one has been a remarkable work of engineering. My current Triumph is the Bonneville, a retro-styled air-cooled vertical twin, which harkens back to the days of Mods & Rockers, cafe racers, Marlon Brando and Steve McQueen. It's a very cool machine which despite it's very reasonable sticker price, immediately draws attention and compliments wherever I go. As the products go, Triumph builds a very high-quality motorcycle using high-pressure casting techniques, very long hard nitriding times on engine parts, very high-quality chrome and paint work and lots of stainless steel fasteners and spokes. This adds to the product's durability and great appearance year after year. The engines and transmissions are extremely bulletproof. My Bonneville now has over 132,000 miles with no internal work being done on it whatsoever. Just oil changes and basic maintenance. That's a real testament to their over-engineering and build quality. Communication with Triumph has been hit or miss. As corporations go, their customer service rates about middle of the road, and their dealership network, often sharing floorspace with other marques is spotty. Their saving grace truly is the fantastic bikes they manufacture. I highly recommend Triumph if you're considering buying a new motorcycle.

I was told by Dalton it would be picked up 1.5 weeks later (originally, I was told 1-2 days lead time is all they needed to pick up by Dalton as well) also found out my bike never went through a safety inspection prior to sale. I was told they would service it for free---you think!! Then they told me my tire has a nail in it.... I rode it for 2 hours on the way home from purchase not being safe in the first place and I need to put tires on it. Communication was terrible, had to ask several questions to get simple answers. Really disappointing after the sales experience. They are short-handed, I heard that like 6 times.....I wasn't in a rush...check all my issues before calling me not 1 at a time. My brake issue is still not resolved. I had it checked and verified it has a problem from another dealer closer to home. Have a shop foreman or someone tenured test drive your bikes to verify a safety concern before you release an unsafe and uninspected bike. Maybe show a customer who spent 1500 on initial visit in accessories/apparel some appreciation and replace the tire as goodwill. Just a horrible experience and I could not recommend this store for service.
