This is our second time working with these folks--my mom absolutely adores them. They definitely carry high-quality products, though they're on the very expensive side. In our opinion, what she paid wasn't quite worth it. That said, she is somewhat happy with the outcome. However, there were a few disappointing issues. She ordered a beautiful porcelain marble tile, and was told they'd take care of everything. She ended up with extra boxes and was later told they would not take them back--even though they originally said they would. The installation process also came with several delays and excuses. While the job was finally completed, there were unexpected extra costs, including hiring a plumber--something that was never mentioned upfront. My mom is older, but she's still sharp, and it's frustrating when promises aren't fully honored. It's important for businesses to stand by their word, especially when working with seniors. read more

Too bad i didnt read these reviews first, shame on me! I gave them one star for the selection of flooring, thats about it. I do believe he purposely didnt tell us the entire process nor the EXTRA cost associated. We were only advised we would need to add levelling to the tiles for the laminate install, you know to smooth out grout lines, OK.... Levelling!! No discussion of possible demolition. Yep, thats right, we have to rip ALL the tile up (its half our house). If not done, we compromise the flooring install and warranty.. These people, supposedly, have been in the flooring business for YEARS, then you know the process. You should have been transparent. Not screw people over after buying a floor and paying for installation, throw additional cost of $4-5K (Floor Prep charge!!) in order to get your flooring done...Disgusting!! Best part, the installers (private contractors), apologized and said they've had this issue(complain) from Flooring America several times... So, that just solidified what type of business this really is. TRASH!! UNPROFESSIONAL!! UNTRUSTWORTHY!! DONT BE SOLD ON 'FAMILY BUSINESS'. If you do go with them, ask questions, do not assume, they DO NOT care about you, only $$. They will not offer information to you! I would not recommend them to anyone I know. read more

We are very pleased with our flooring and with installation. We originally chose a higher end hardwood and when it arrived it looked nothing like the sample in the store, which is no fault of the store. Our salesman David went out of his way to help us with the issue and we ultimately chose another flooring that was a little less expensive but just as nice. It was actually the original choice of our salesman and we should've just listened to him in the first place! It turned out so beautiful and we are so pleased with these floors. The only recommendation that I have is that buyers should be made aware that there may be an additional charges if the installers have to level the floor in order to do the install . We did not mind having to pay the additional fee but it should have been mentioned upfront that it could be a possibility. Thanks for a great experience! read more

Do not sign their contracts. It is filled with clauses that allows them to do and charge whatever they want!! Salesman told us that the installers were employees of the business and not subcontractors. Lie # 1. The installers told us the complete opposite. We asked because it makes a difference. We were quoted one price. We signed the contract for that price. The salesman came to the home to measure and to look at the existing floors that would be replaced. Two weeks later the product was delivered to the home. A week after that the tile installers arrived. The lead on the job told me that he cannot continue with the job until he heard from his office, because the salesman said that the existing floor was laminate instead of glue. The salesman called me at work to inform me that it will an additional $2,000 to remove the glued floor. Lie # 2 & SCAM. The installers were there. The product was there and we had been waiting 4 weeks ... this is like having a gun to my head and demanding $2,000 more dollars. I told him to continue. Not good enough. He text my wife a new contracted with the $2,000 increase and demanded that she sign it before continuing. She didn't know what to do, so she signed it. She told me later that the pressure/stress that they put her under was unbearable. The $2,000 job took 20 minutes. However, the nightmare really began when they started to install the tile. My wife (5ft 100lbs) had to move the furniture. They said they could not touch it, but the salesman said they would take care of it. Then the lead began verbally abusing his help. The language and negativity that spewed out of this man in our home was ridiculous and unnecessary. My wife had to tell him to stop, but he continued. Then he left for a 2 hour lunch only to return to more screaming and assaults. He trampled all throughout the home leaving his footprints from the tile dust everywhere. He then told my wife he will have to call the carpet people to let them know that the original floor was terrazzo, because it will be more difficult to install the carpet strips. Finally, as they completed the job we informed them that the salesperson said that they would replace a couple of cracked tile for us in another room for a little cash. But when we told the installer that they said absolutely not, we don't do that. Lie # 3. They left and my wife and I had to put all the furniture back and clean their mess. The carpet installers were complete gentlemen. Very helpful, did a great job and not one vulgar word out of either man. Today the salesman called asking for payment of the remaining bill. I asked him to have the general manager call me. The general manager called me and I explained the experience and told him that I did not think that I should have to pay for their $2,000 mistake. He didn't care. I offered to split the difference. He told me that he will immediately put a lien on the home to demand payment and he would call my employer to let them know how irresponsible I am. Really? I asked him if he was 12 and if wanted to call my mother as well. This was their general manager!!!! Now we know why their installer was abusive. They are bullies and liars. This is how they do business!! They make a mistake and the customer pays for it. They will quote you one price and then come up with a reason to increase it. Just read all these other comments, because Everyone experienced price increases. But the absolute worse of it is that these people will lie to you, come into your home and do & say what they want regardless and then threaten to steal your home. All supported by their general manager. I full anticipate receiving a stock reply as all others. Folks, they do not care about you or your home. Believe the negative reviews about Great Southeast Flooring! On my intitial visit I confirmed they had their own crews as opposed to sub contractors....... The subcontractor would not do the work agreed to. Advising me the salesman lied just to get me to sign the contract! Salesman said I could stay in home during work, contractor insisted I needed to leave. Uneven hollow and cliking tiles........ grout smeard all over face of tile with mops, grout also uneven. Grout flung all over baseboards, door frame and doors, spilled bucket used with adhesvie on patio. Tile was to be laid without need for quarter round, not done. then had to pay contractor separately $700 for quarter round and job was not completed. Their behavior was inconsiderate and abusive. I called the material manufacturer who provded information that indicated the power grout adheres to tile in 48 hours...... they left me high and dry on Labor Day weekend with no plan to clean up the grout.....I am not able to walk without a cane...... when I showed Chris my ring video of person leaving with grout filled mops , he yelled at me a stormed out of my home..... Many reviews also mention the "yelling" I thought I was dealing with a reputable company. They represent their warranty...... but my experience was they yell and storm off rather than conduct themselves in a reasonable manner. Other reviews, mention, yelling as well. I found a review on Angie's list where someone had a similar tile experience with the same company and contractor......... I was very hesitant to contract with Great Southeast Flooring America because of low online review ratings. After our experience, I learned that you cannot believe everything you read and that you need to do your own research before making such an important (and expensive) decision. I could not have been happier with Adrian Davis and the service from Great Southeast Flooring America. Knowledgeable. Professional. Thorough. Product and services delivered as promised, when promised. The installers from A Better Flooring were top notch. Incredible team. The quality of their work was first rate. Talk about knowing what the heck they were doing. These guys were a well-oiled machine! It is important to note that Great Southeast Flooring America was THE ONLY flooring company that I contacted in South Brevard County that had a solution to moving our adjustable bed base. The thing weighs as much as a Volkswagen, and no company I contacted would touch it with a 10-foot pole. It is also important to mention that not one other flooring company would even suggest or recommend a solution to have my bed base moved. Absolutely no one! Some companies would not even return my calls because they didn't want to fool with it. I even spoke with customer service at Serta (makers of the base), and they could not suggest anyone who could move the thing! But GSFA didn't bat an eye and offered a solution to a problem that I spent weeks trying to solve. Who would move the base? Adrian suggested I contact Josh Green with Green Frog Moving. Great advice. Josh Green and his team came in before the carpet installers, moved the base, easy peasy. Didn't blink an eye. After installation, his team returned and minutes later the base and bed were back in place! All that worry for nothing! I'm sorry others have been less than pleased and said as much in their reviews. But I had to share my experience that that type of service is not at all what I received. Where'd these low ratings come from? Doesn't make sense, these guys are awesome! The in-store samples provide 100's from which to choose, for every budget. Scott, our Salesperson was very knowledgeable about the various products, and the process. He hand drew a near engineering-level drawing of our home with measurements to estimate the job and he was very helpful in finding exactly the look we wanted. I can't say enough about our hard-working installers, Anthony and James. Both were very polite, professional and did a fantastic job. Anthony made certain every detail was correct and to our satisfaction. Great job, guys! Many thanks...very glad I didn't see these low ratings 1st. They misrepresented all the way! They sold us on being able to put LVT(luxury vinyl) right over our existing tile. They stated so in the contract that was made in our home. They told us that is 80% of their business. The day of the install we found out that going over the tile without additional prep is usually never possible because of the grout. The floor itself was level. Even the subfloor in one room with hardwood floors was level. We were given the option to either fork out $875.00 for grinding down the tile and applying a compound over the top or paying a $2500.00 restocking fee. The new floor makes loud crispy sounds when you walk on it. Like there is some grit underneath. We also never received a copy of the warranty they claim to give, or a written release of lien as stated on the back of their contract after we submitted full payment. Repeated attempts by phone, in-person visits and emails to the owner, after project completion, yielded no response. read more

The first sales person was very good. Came up one plank (1) short. Call the store 3 times talked to 3 different people and all three just got rude and could careless. I still have a large livingroom and two other bedrooms to do, this company will. Not get my return business. I understand being short 1 plank not their fault but the rudeness and unprofessionalism was. For me I would not recommend this company they seemed not to care after they made the sale. Contracted with Great SouthEast Flooring America for new floor in sunken living room, 26 Jun 2020. Were told by sales person they used professional installers that use state of the art laser measuring equipment and cutting tools. 20 July 2020 their professional installation team of one person showed up and immediately went about cutting the Stone fireplace hearth using a grinder, hammer and chisel. He chiseled so hard and long rocks started falling out of the hearth. Sad part is the previous floor was very similar to the floor he was putting in so there was no reason to cut the stone hearth edge in the first place. The installer stated he could replace the rock and fix the damage at the time of the accident however, he waited till after he used a glue to hang the rock and totally ignored the jagged edge he created all around the hearth to state he was not a stone mason and sorry but that is the best he could do. The destruction of the hearth was the major issue but not the only one. The shoe molding he installed looked like aged defective wood that had been stained. When asked about this he stated they only do that as a courtesy so if I did not like it I would have to call the office. He then stated there was nothing more he could do and left leaving the damaged hearth and sub standard molding as is. We called the sales person and were told to send him pictures and he would forward everything to management. Which we did immediately. It was the 3rd day AFTER the professional installer, on 23 July 2020 I called (after hearing nothing from them)and was able to reach the general manager (after 4 attempts to reach him) who was very adversarial, bullying and even questioned my intelligence at one point then stated I was being unreasonable to request the hearth be repaired. Then stated HE would have to think about it at his convenience and get back to us next week. The flooring we purchased actually looks great however, the collateral damage the installer created is NOT worth the headache and heartache created by this company. read more

Bought very expensive, dense, low pile carpeting from Great Southeast. The installer came in a timely manner. Because of the size of my bedroom he had to put a seam in that runs the length of my bedroom. The pattern is not matched correctly so the seam is very obvious. I called my sales person, Scott, and shared this with him. He asked me to send a picture, which I did, and he said that he would share with the installer. They charged my 87 year old Mother $2000 simply to remove old tile and replace with new in one bathroom They removed and disposed of a 4-5 yr old glass sliding shower door they said was not reusable. NOT TRUE Had another company out who verified it was reusable When removing the original tile they took out the handicap bars and did NOT reinstall. Was told it was not part of the $2000 estimate. So now I have to hire another company to do the work. DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend this company. Buyer beware. Get several estimates. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I would give ZERO stars if I could. They can take your order and deposit but they can not fulfill. After 3 months of waiting and aggravation I cancelled and they did refund the whole deposit. Customer Service well lets say they never heard of the term. I was still willing to give them a chance and picked out other products and asked for best price. They gave me the price as though I was new customer. They were not willing to take 1 penny off for the aggravation they caused. Not 1 cent. And if I did go with their product I went to the back of line on install. Thats right wait another 2 months. The salesman could not understand why I cancelled. The arrogance he had was unbelievable. They've worked with us to design tiles which matched the adjoining rooms and have always done a quality installation job whether it was a large or small project. Exercise extreme caution when dealing with these characters. Post purchase service is so bad that I am going to extremes to share my experience for a measly $100 credit for returned merchandise. First, I was awarded a credit card dispute of $625.04 for merchandise on a second order that I never received from them and after promising to refund my credit card charge, they never did, and I had to take matters up with my bank. This was after they miss measured my project in my house leaving me 3 boxes short then tried to sell me 3 additional boxes at higher cost. In addition to their miss guided measurements, they sold me T-molding on my original bill of $3,317.84 that was not required as my state certified general contractor did not use or need. I returned this T-molding in person where they accepted the return merchandise and told me to look for a credit which, once again never occurred. Now this was months after the original purchase and through delays of installation, bank disputes and their delayed response. They declined the credit card dispute by submitting the original invoice with no mention of taking back the returned merchandise. I am now outside the dispute window, and they have no intention of refunding my $100 for merchandise they that took back and is now in their inventory. The money does not hurt me but the lack of integrity, demeaning attitude, and service I just have to share. read more

We had an issue with Great Southeast Flooring America. See my previous review. We paid them for installation of a replacement carpet. Which was under warranty. They refuse to make us whole. We are not willing to pay another $1000.00 for them to install and (at their suggestion) purchase another, lower quality padding than the one we originally purchased less than one year ago. That was their "working with us" we pay more money to them! This carpet is clearly defective, it has never been saturated with anything other than professional cleanings (two separate companies). Everything that hits it causes brown stains. Anyway, they are deceitful with their warranties and like to blame the customer. After several requests and months. They have not refunded our installation cost. We put it on a credit card when we first ordered the replacement carpet. We have since asked for a refund since we are not willing or able to purchase anything else from them. Now, we are paying interest and making payments on this! Called Great Southeast Flooring to address this credit card refund, never returned my call. Called again, still nothing! We want our money refunded. Either back to our credit card or a check, plus interest at this time! Their thing is "call us so we can work something out." They will not return calls. Also, if you have an upset customer. Take some initiative and CALL THE CUSTOMER!!! Please, return our money!! We cannot afford to give you anymore money!! Your excuses are not truths. We have been pretty clear. We do not or cannot afford to pay to have this defective carpet replaced at $1000.00. You have not worked with us! You're trying to lay blame on us. We have asked several times for a refund of the labor (which we agreed would be the cost for replacement). Until you decided you wanted more money. This was not our original agreement to replace this carpet. I don't believe anything you say about the manufacturer. We have never received anything just talk. We just want our money refunded. The last time we spoke to Chris, we were clear. We do not want anything except our money refunded to our credit card. This is getting ridiculous! I have a serious health condition (reason we purchased a carpet easy to clean) This stress caused by you and worry about our money returned, making payments on the credit card for nothing, along with COVID. Please, do at least one right thing by us. REFUND OUR MONEY!!!! I wouldn't have to "re share" if you did the right thing. You absolutely did not work with us at all. You say reach out to you. I have been attempting to resolve this issue with your company for a while now. We purchased Dreamweaver pet proof carpet along with Stain Master Pet Padding. For a great room and a hallway. It was installed April 17, 2019. The reason we purchased this is because we had an elderly dog in diapers. This carpet is definitely not pet or stain proof. When anything at all gets on it dry or wet it turns brown. On 11/22/2019 I had it professionally steam cleaned. The stains returned. I called Our salesman on 12/27/19. He recommended Sunshine Carpet. On 1/23/2020, Sunshine Carpet came and did a pet cleaning. This carpet stayed wet longer than our other rooms, after cleaning. Also, The stains returned. We were told if we Had it cleaned several more times the stains may come out. This defeats the purpose of stain proof carpet. The A carpet inspector came out. He treated a spot, that stain has also returned. The manufacturer agreed to replace this carpet. We were told we needed to pay for installation. We gave a check for installation, ordered our carpet. The first week of March. We waited and waited to be contacted with an installation date. We finally called. We were then told the carpet was defective and had to be sent back to the manufacturer. So, we waited and waited, again. No one contacted us. So, we called again last Friday and were told there was a hold on this because the installer refused because we were not purchasing new padding AGAIN! We were told the padding was saturated and he refused to install out carpet No one has looked at the padding. Nothing except the cleaning "saturated" this padding. The older carpet was cleaned the same time. It dried much faster and no stains, it looks beautiful. That carpet is much plusher than the Dream weaver. I was in disagreement with this and was told to speak with the Manager, Chris. I left messages on his voicemail and with someone who answered the phone. I have yet to receive a call from anyone to resolve this issue. We purchased Pet Proof Carpet with Pet Proof Padding less than a year (when this All began). We spent 2269.00 for Two small rooms (great room) and hallway. If we had known we would have been having this issue we would have gotten something beside carpet. We were looking for something pet proof to make things easier. This has been a horrible stressful experience. This should not cost us anything much less an additional 1000.00 or more. She came out within a few days to determine how much flooring we needed and gave us a projected cost very quickly. Giving my review a one star because we are in process of resolving an unsatisfactory purchase. Received defective flooring. -weeks later no resolution from manager of store. Very disappointing We did contact Sales person to tell him what happened and he told us he and the manager contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer acknowledged that there was a problem with the adhesive on the lot of floor that they sold us. Of course the floor was already installed . Store told us if there was a problem with the installed floor in the future they would replace it and pay for the installation. Still waiting on that letter from store Who says it's the manufacturers problem. Sent an email to the company directly to see if I can just deal with it myself as I am tired of dealing with the manager of this store. Manufacturer got back to me promptly .He called me instantly when I provided my phone number. He has assued me that they will take care of my request and have their regional sales person contact the store and try to resolve the letter issue Got a much better response from the flooring manufacturer than the store manager We love the floor-we hope we have no problems in the future but would've liked reassurance in writing that if we did it would be taken care of. Do not waste your time here! My husband and I had a horrible experience with their customer service and getting the wrong tile. My husband and I found a tile in their store that we really liked. Pat brought over 1 piece of tile to our home and we decided to go with it. Pat measured our home but was off and didn't include the waste. So we had to order another batch which they said would be in the next delivery. They said the first batch of tile was coming from California and would take about a week but will call when they have it in. We had to call them because they didn't call us. First bad customer experience example. Then the horror story really starts. Our tile installers picked up all the tile and delivered it to our home. I was sleeping while they were putting it in our home and it wasn't till my husband came home and asked why we had two different sets of tile. That's right. The manufacture sent the wrong tile!!!!! It was devastating because we were all ready to go and now we had a major setback. The manager, Chris Green, tried to offer to have another batch sent out but our decision was to have it all taken back because we didn't want to risk the chance of having the same mistake happen since it was the manufactures fault. Chris tried to convince us to go with that option and it took a while before he finally said that they would take it all back. We said we would look at other tiles and pick something else. We went back to the store and didn't really see anything else that we liked in that price range of $3.99. Now comes the refund horror story. Chris did not want to give us back our money and kept delaying it! One morning a week later Pat wrote down my credit card number so she could refund us the money and she said she would email me by the end of the day. Well I showed up at the store around 430 because I was in the neighborhood and figured they could just run my card then. Nope! An employee that was there said Pat left to see clients and Chris was out as well. He also told me they did need the credit card to issue the refund. He didn't offer to do anything!!!!!! I had to call Pat and she never answered. I had to keep asking him to try and get ahold of Chris because he did know everything that was going on. I heard this guy make a few phone calls and he said that neither of them answered but if he got a verbal okay from either of them he could do the refund. I waited there for over an hour and the guy was rude to me and didn't try to offer to help at all!! I said there's no way to get ahold of your manager when there is a big issue with a customer and he said no. It boggles my mind that he couldn't try calling him but yet he's the owner!! What kind of business is that?! The employee also said, "your welcome to stay till we close but your wasting your time." I left here crying because I was so upset and no one could help me. The next day I got a phone call and my husband spoke with the book keeper and said they were issuing our refund but will take a few business days. Oh, so Chris isn't even going to call and apologize or have the decency to speak with me?! The next week we received our refund and will never go back there. We found much better quality tile by Florida Tile and for even cheaper than this place! If you want to go with cheap tile and horrible service then by all means go here. But you were warned. The best part was when Chris's brother came to pick up all the tile the next day he even said another home in our neighborhood also had the same problem with their tile but yet Pat and Chris said this rarely ever happens. Well after the first fiasco where they failed to go through the tiles with us as designated by the manufacturer Dal Tile, Chris Green agreed to send us 4 boxes of each of the three sizes so we could pay someone to tear out their work where it was unacceptable and replace them. The tile came in and I picked them up at their showroom. What a surprise! None of the tile they ordered were calibrated to the same dimensions as the originals causing us to hire a tile cutter to cut 96 tiles so they would fit. Lesson learned: Trust is the cornerstone of trade and Great Southeast Flooring America is not a place I would trust ever again. read more

I used Flooring America to order three rooms worth of the engineered vinyl, petproof-waterproof flooring. I went to the showroom and decided on my floor, the sales rep made things easy to get it ordered and paid for. Once the floor was ready they let me know when it could be picked up. Pick-ups can only be done certain days and at certain times due to the forklift operator not always being able to move things for people. When we hit traffic and were a little behind, he stayed a little later so we could still pick up the flooring. My experience was a very good one and I would use them again. read more

This place has a good selection with okay prices and horrible follow-up service! Their promise is to leave your home in the exact same shape after they finish installation or make it right. After installing my 3rd floor (yes, 3rd because the first two floors were defective) they have left me with damaged paint on walls, damaged toe kicks in closets, damaged cabinets in kitchen and a dented dishwasher. Damage control person said he would paint and to go ahead and get cabinets and closets repaired and send the bills to him at Flooring America. After hearing nothing and having to pay these bills out of my own pocket, I made numerous calls and emails to the owner's son who now runs the place. Finally I got an unexpected call back from manager, Chris. He immediately began screaming, yes, screaming at me over the phone about how he was not paying anything. So....if you use Flooring America and have a problem, that's their customer service. I am not the only one who has had this happen; several others were treated exactly the same way. Yes, there are satisfied customers. Apparently they did not run into problems that would have cost this company money. Money seems to be the only game for them. read more

We just moved to Florida and our new home badly needed flooring. I contacted Ken Green at Flooring American and the rest is history. We visited his showroom several times and Ken was always very patient and never pushy, but was extremely helpful in picking out the right kind of flooring as well as the color scheme. He took into consideration our budget and the very, very important fact that we have a large, older dog. Our new floor is more quiet and softer when you walk on it. We are truly very happy with the product and the installation. The crew was terrific and quick. They had the scheduled product installed in one day! My husband and I went to a few other places before deciding on here. So glad we shopped around and chose the right place to do our guest bedroom. Adrian was our salesman and took his time helping us pick out a pattern as well as advise us on our choice. There was no pressure on his part at all very professional. Came back a day later picked out our pattern and within three weeks our rug was laid. We had two wonderful men move our furniture will care JIM & JERRY. Had my room back together and even sweep the new rug. We will be doing two other rooms and I will be sure to come here for their great service and a smile. If you go here do not get Ken as your salesmen he is rude. When I want to know what I was paying for he said I don't have to give to you. I told him the calculations aren't right. I was getting 3 bedrooms carpeted and tile in living and dinning room. The cost of the tile and measurements weren't adding up so I canceled the tile part. The carpet had already been put in the rooms. Then I got 3 different measurements from other companies and each company was a 100+ square feet shorter. When I told Ken that I wanted a er measurement he said know that his calculations were right. Very rude he spoke to me. The day I canceled we went into Flooring America and talked to Zach he was very nice and very helpful. I understand you can't switch salespeople but if you could flooring America probably would have saved the sale. So I ended up going to Flooring Direct which I saved almost half of what I was paying at Flooring America whith a lot better tile. When I went to get my deposit back from Flooring America they charged me for tile that I didn't get and said I could take it with me but the were charging me it cost me. I asked for total measurements for rug they installed and Ken said I don't have to give you that. I told him he was ripping me off. He told me to get out of "his " store. When I said it wasn't his store his family owned it. The staff snickered and said touché' . So it must not me that believes he is a rude his coworkers must believe that also. He ended up throwing literally throwing the tile I had to pay for in the back of my new car. I guess he can act like that since his family owns the store. Not good business and I will tell everyone I know who is looking for flooring not to go there. read more

We wanted to replace our builder's grade carpet in two year old home back in 2014, but I had no idea where to start. I walked into the showroom, saw a few samples that I liked (they were all very different from one another), and spoke to Jo Esser who gave me some ideas of different materials and price points that we were interested in. She set up a time to come to my home and brought me more samples, and we ended up finding a great fit for our home. The flooring was ordered, and when it arrived, they delivered it to my home the day before installation. I was extremely happy with how quickly and efficiently the installers worked. I had an infant that I had to entertain, along with two large dogs. The installers were friendly and professional, and most importantly, cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. We have since moved and are looking to replace all the flooring in our new home. We will definitely return! read more

The owner is the rudest person I've ever seen. They quote you a price and then they say we made a mistake and blame it on the new sales person which maybe they should have trained the individual better before putting him in front of customers quoting prices. The manager/owner comes out and says take it or leave it!! Wow excellent way to treat people that want to spend money at there store. read more

The flooring was great but the installers were terrible! Liquid nails "explosion" on the walls and floors which we're still cleaning up. Sloppy work in replacing sub-floors has resulted in costly electrical repairs. We thought using a reputable firm for laminate floors in our mobile home would be the best way to go. Not so in this case! read more

We purchased carpet in January, was told that they would email us with a delivery date. We called numerous times to get a date for delivery as we had other items being delivered also. After many calls we finally got an answer. On install day, they came and did the carpet. However while doing this they chipped paint off my newly painted walls and door jam. We were told it might happen to the baseboard which I understand. But the walls and the middle of the door jam, no. Also when we went to sign the contract for the carpet we were never told about a down payment, as we were using our flooring America credit card. Our salesperson left out a lot of important information we found out about later. And you can see a defined seam in the carpet. We were also told someone would follow up with us in February and nobody has done so. I will never use this company again, we had planned on buying additional tile from them. Not now. read more

Walked in a couple of minutes before 5 looking for laminate. Both employees were walking out from behind the counter with briefcases in hand. I asked if they were going somewhere and they said it's 5 o'clock. (My cell phone had 4:57), then the one guy said he had an appt., looked at the other and said don't you have an appt? At this point I knew they weren't interested in selling me any flooring for my project so I just walked out, hearing one say "We're open tomorrow!" But I'm not going back! read more

After seeing only one review and it being very negative I felt the need to add my 2 cents worth. I ordered carpet and tile from Ken a couple years ago. Ken was very professional. I had a few estimates before going with Great Southeast Flooring America. Kens measurements were exactly the same as the others estimates. Picking out tile is very hard. We brought into the showroom cushions and color chips. We sat on the tile with our colors for a while. Then we went home and thought about it some more. Again we brought pieces of our house to the showroom; cushions, drawers, paint chips. Finally we decided on a tile and carpet. Ken was so patient with us and helpful, making suggestions and carrying some of our pieces around with us. And now comes the best part. The tile installation crew was absolutely the BEST. My house has about 1/3rd of it at 45 degrees. Some of the corners were very tight. They cut and fitted the tile perfectly, some pieces as small as 1" triangle. All our gaps are equal, the grout perfectly smooth. Our floors are stunning! I'm about to redo a rental and will be going back to see Ken. Highly recommend! read more

We had new laminated flooring installed in our kitchen and dining room. Knowing that we had animals, and that these two rooms would have spills, water, moisture from the ice cube maker, etc., they never told us that these floors COULD NOT GET WET!! Within a couple of days of installation, board edges were already starting to curl upward and warp! We told them about it, and THAT'S when we found out that this laminate can't take ANY MOISTURE!! PERIOD!!... Overall service from the store was terrible, and we would never refer them to anyone! $5,000 of flooring (including a different flooring on our porch), previous customers as well, and they made no apologies. It's now a real problem floor!! -- In addition, the sales woman who was at our home and did the quote, said they could do it in one day. It took over 3 days, and the kitchen and dining room, and porch were scheduled MONTHS apart! Never again! (The installer was professional, and ran into problems the sales woman never bothered to take into account. We have no problem with the installers. Just Flooring America.) -- They did NOT provide enough product information for the item we selected and the usage! The sale seemed to be the only thing that mattered. read more

This must of been ken too! Lol i just wanted to say how disappointed I was today when my 60 year old mother got hung up on, because somebody in the store sold her tile that had no bullnose for it. Have had a great experiences in the past my mother even spent 14 grand on wood floor for her home. No problem except when it came time to do the bathroom I think it's sad that a man will hang up on a woman because he knows he messed up and had nothing else to say. Also you know you should check into white tile you sell and make sure you sell everything for it because she's now out $80 because nobody could look that up. My aunt just moved back down and needs alot for the fixer-upper she bought but I'm so scared to send her there with this issue that we had if there is an issue over $80 and nobody knows what they're doing there it scares me to send somebody else to spend another 10 plus grand on floors. I hope that gentleman was just having a bad day but to take it out on an elderly woman is wrong. My in-laws have own an AC company in town for over 30 years and if we treated our customers like that we wouldn't be in business. We are also on speakerphone so my husband and father got to hear it too . they were in shock and it bothered me so much because of all the money they spent their to be treated like that. Thank you. Again I hope this was once in a lifetime problem but to hang up on the elderly is just wrong.. oh yeah.... They calculated wrong but thata another story. read more
