Ordered a pair of jeans in a brand I absolutely know my size Received the jeans they were midsized and do not fit I called 5 times spoke to different non caring associates and no one would help Terrible customer service they do not stand behind the merchandise they sell as well Horrible experience Stay away from this family owned business that could care less about their customers! Very charming boutique with some really nice pieces. Staff is friendly and attentive.

I am a big supporter of local business and have shopped in Great Stuff before and I have no issues with the sales people as they were just the messenger. What I do have an issue with is the owner not returning my phone call or responding to my email. I went to return one of two items I purchased, only to be told that it is only a 7 day return policy and that they will not accept the return. I told them I only wanted store credit and they refused to accommodate. They suggested I called the owner, Dina at the Scarsdale store, which I did. I left my phone number for a return call and also emailed her but never heard back! This is a brand new spring cardigan with tags on and it's not like I was returning something from last season. It was 2 and a half weeks later and I would have returned it sooner but I had a medical procedure, which I explained to the original person in the store where I initially went to return it but she had no interest . Also, the person in the store told me that the 7 day return policy is clear as day near the register and I told her that who even looks at that? I think 2 and a half weeks is very reasonable. Anyway it is not my style to even write reviews but to add insult to injury I know see they are now having 25% off for family and friends. I am a very loyal customer and I will not be back. If you read the reviews you will see that I am not the first nor will I be the last. My intentions to support a small local business were good but I will take my business elsewhere with someone who appreciates it! read more

I had been to the store in Greenwich before and had never had any issues at all. I was on my lunch break today and walked into this location in Scarsdale, just to browse. One friendly saleswoman greeted me as I walked in and told me to let her know if I needed any help. The other older lady STALKED me around the store, making me so uncomfortable that I had to leave. I have never been made to feel so suspicious in my entire life. They have this nice 3 way mirror in the back of the store near a few of their clothing racks, and I happened to feel a little self-conscious about my outfit today, so therefore spent MAYBE 10 seconds looking at the angles in the mirror. The older saleswoman popped up out of nowhere and asked in a passive-agressive tone if I needed anything, clearly trying to relay the message that I was not meant to be utilizing the mirror in this capacity. I was friendly and polite and told her I was just looking around, even laughed a little, trying to seem semi-apologetic. I then moved on to some racks nearby, and she LITERALLY stood parallel to me and was not even pretending to focus her attention elsewhere. I love to shop in Great Stuff in Scarsdale . I don't always find something but the staff is incredibly helpful . They are always willing to give advice or track an item down in a different size or color. The owner and staff are welcoming and friendly. read more

Without doubt, this store is owned by the WORST businesswoman whose sales associates are scared to death of her. I see why. She is completely inflexible when it comes to making the customer happy even with an even return on merchandise that has tags on it and is still selling at full price in her store. Wow! I genuinely root for small boutiques to stay in business, but this one is run so badly I had to take time out of my day to write this review. I found myself in Scarsdale yesterday after a doctor's appointment where I had received some positive news. I was in a good mood and in the need for some spring/summer tops and Great Stuff had a nice selection in the window. So I went in. The prices are high - but I expected this as this is what it takes today to remain in business. What I didn't expect was to be made to feel unwelcome. Clearly there were two regular customers shopping. Good news. But I guess they do not want or need new ones. I wasn't greeted when I walked in - I had to say hello to the sales staff. When I started to pull items from the racks to try on - I was told by one sales person - you know all of dressing rooms are busy so you may not be able to try on. I said ok only to then be approached by another woman who yanked everything out of my hands as if she thought I was shoplifting. I am in my 50s and well dressed and should have walked out then. Instead I waited for a dressing room. I was completely ignored as I tried on several items. I decided to purchase two items. I went to the register and started to pay. I was pushed out of the way so that a regular could put her items down while sales associate said "Just a minute- let me get rid of her" I said in response I am sorry I am in your way - I meant I sarcastically- and she actually said "no problem - we just need you to leave". Great Stuff is great stuff until you need to return something that was bought damaged, but unnoticed at the time of purchase. After calling the very next day, I was told that sale items were final sale, and it didn't matter if the item was sold damaged (a fade mark going horizontally across the back of the shorts). That was my tough luck ... although not phrased that way, it was the essence of their response. This is a high end boutique, that has been around for a long times. I assume that's what affords them their less than stellar attitude toward long-time customers. read more

I've never been treated so badly at any store, ever. They wouldn't let me exchange an expensive shirt, never worn, tags on, only 2 1/2 weeks after I bought it. The shirt was in perfect condition, on the hanger and in the original plastic. I was delayed bringing it back because my toddler daughter got sick with pneumonia. They didn't care. The store manager (Liz) berated me verbally for not bringing the shirt back within seven days, and the owner (Adam) never returned my calls. I hadn't even asked for a refund. All I wanted to do was swap it out for something else in the store because my husband didn't like it, which meant I could never wear it out with him. After a visit to the store and my third horrible conversation with Liz (and no return call from Adam, ever), I took the shirt to a consignment shop just to get this whole episode out of my house. Great Stuff does have Great Stuff, I'll give them that. But this place should be called "Great Stuff, Bad Attitudes." They are just so unfriendly, and yet follow you around, it is very unsettling. Couple this with the terrible return policy mentioned in some other reviews here, and I wonder how they stay in business. They don't stock much that can't be found online from a major department store. read more

Please consider purchasing anywhere but this store. Horrible customer service, unwillingness to stand behind the items they sell. I bought a $1600 Moncler coat, wore it 10x and the zipper broke. I only asked that they contact the manufacturer, Moncler, so that Moncler could repair the jacket and they refused...said it was "my problem", not theirs and they don't provide guarantees on what they sell. For a $1600 coat I expect way more than that. They weren't even apologetic, especially the manager, Jan, who was ridiculously rude and acted like I should be sorry for bothering her! I vowed when leaving the store that they would forever lose my business and that I would be sure to spread the word and spare others. Total customer service FAIL! read more
