(Credit to my daughter for writing this post. After visiting a family friend we decided to grab some lunch) As I walked into the establishment I first noticed the small yet unique assortment of canned drinks ranging anywhere from herbal tea to canned soy milk and sodas. Secondly it was a very quiet place with barely anyone talking other than staff who were quick to take our drink orders and to give refills. Food however was absolutely loaded with MSG to the point of which I only could finish one plate of food, taste, texture and warmth of the food where also less than satisfactory. All the food was bland, was oddly textured and worst of all cold! I left bloated, unsatisfied and saddened that I couldn't just hop in a time machine and eat somewhere different instead. read more

I've ate at the great wall twice and neither time was it good. It's really disappointing because I'd love to find a good Chinese restaurant. Place was definitely a little bit dirty when I was in there too both times. read more

We went on a Sunday and there was a crowd. We waited a few moments to be seated. We asked if we had to have the buffet and the answer was we could order from a menu. I ordered the buffet while my husband ordered off the menu. A good reason we come here. I liked that they have plastic gloves to handle the utensils to get your food. The plastic cough guard shields are a good size to get food without bending and breathing on the buffet. There was a wide variety of food. They were constantly replenishing the food with small amounts so it did not just sit above the steamer. We will return when in the area. read more

My husband and I stopped here on the way to the upper peninsula. We were looking for a quick meal that was not fast food. It was a Chinese buffet. It was not too big, but the food was very good. A little short on ambience but great on flavor. I even emptied the teapot into my to go cup from my car. read more

Really good Chinese food. The buffet is hot and delicious with a nice seclection classic dishes. Not fancy, bur tasty!

While the food is not bad, it is not a destination for fine dining. The dining room could use a lot of work and the hostess was friendly. They have a nice choice of foods which look to be kept at the proper temps. Go for the generals chicken and pot stickers and avoid the bbq chicken skewers and wonton soup. Driving through Standish,MI and came across this restaurant amongst a sea of fast food joints. Food was filled with great flavor and fresh eats. Kids enjoyed the food and ate well. If you're out this way, I would recommend it.. if you want flavor and to support a local family establishment. read more

Best Chinese around the sesame seed chicken and egg drop soup are my favorite. I usually eat here at least twice a month if not more.

We recently moved to this are and have only used take out due to Covid19. The food is very good and the potions are large. The staff is very friendly as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I'm giving this place 1 star only because I can't do 0. I order the buffet and once I came back to the table with my food it was cold. I notified my waitress and she became defensive and said no it's 200 degrees. My husband and I asked to speak to a manager and the waitress automatically said she's busy dealing with takeout orders she can't talk. We said ok we will wait because we would like to talk about our bill as I was unable to eat off the buffet. The waitress became very rude and said I'm unable to take anything off you bill without even talking to a manager. Finally a young man came to us as we said louder we would like to talk to a manager. We explained the situation to him and he adjusted our bill he then apologized. If you plan on eating here fair warning the buffet food is cold and the waitress is very rude!!! read more

Great cheap chinese food for lunches and great service. You get a lot of food for what you pay and the rangoons are great.

Dont even get me started i came here a few times in hopes for better on a week day and saturday. durring the week the young lady who works there is so amazing shes is an outstanding waitress i was very happy to see a good waitress in the town of standish that is very hard to find she is very friendly and does a great job that is the highlight of the place to walk in and see a bright smile in very dull place and now to get into the bad about this place!!! The food is very cold it was good flavor but drown out and dulled down by it being cold by time i get to the table and not to mention the young boy who is there is was very rude and doesnt pay attention i sat with an empty glass for what felt like forever because the food was so dry i had to ask him to fill my glass and he didnt seem thrilled he had to nor that he had to be there in the first place he is very unprofetional i dont know where he got his work ethic but what can i say he is a lazy standish kid.... that boy made me never want to come back and the food i will not be back but to the young lady in there keep it up you are doing great and you can do great things good luck! read more

I've been here a handful of times and I hate it every time but it's the only Chinese place for miles! One time I had hair in my food. Another time I had a dirty tea pot. And just today I couldn't believe what happened my little girl and I walked in and waited like five mins cause the girl was cashing out people and then these two girls walk in and stop right next to us. The lady behind the counter looks right past me at them and you can go sit down and I'll be right with you. I'm like what are we invisible! She didn't even look at us at all so I just went to the table I wanted and sat down. A guy came and got us drinks and we got our food. Then as soon as we got back to the table that blonde that works there brought over our bill! Really I hadn't even taken a bite. Then they didn't even clear the plates from the table until right before we left. Also I had to flag someone down and ask for a glass of water and no one even came over to see if we needed anything which we both need drink refills.
