The lady on the phone was rude when I was placing the order and the food was terrible. By far the worst Chinese food we've had. We ended up throwing the entire order away. It was a learning experience and we hope that they take the necessary steps to make changes. read more

We decided to try this place since the Chinese food in our town isn't really good. We are glad we chose this place as the food was made in front of us and were some of the best crab ragoons we have had within driving distance of our home. I wouldn't order the Mongolian beef again because although I love onions and was told when ordering it had a lot, i didn't imagine it was 95% of the dish. They really needed to add more beef and it would have been much better. The fried rice was meh but the sesame chicken was great and so were the egg rolls. read more

I drive 30 miles for the best Chinese Food. I love the rice and egg rolls. They will add or omit certain ingredients. Perfect.

Before I start- yes I ate my food still the food was great! Despite my lack of appetite in the disturbance, I continue to eat and it was good! The girl in the kitchen was friendly & efficient. *Food 9/10 - Service 1/10 Now.. the younger male working the register. I wish i was making this up. Before I place my order, an older gentleman had a pick up order in front of me. as he went to go check out the cashier made a statement about the woman being a terrible employee and "why does she even work here? ""she sucks at her job " whilst huffing and puffing, and making a few other sly remarks. The old man handled it great and we try to be as friendly as possible during that interaction. I waited about 15 mins for my food (very busy) and while I waited. I watched the cashier scratch scabs on his arm near the food fryers. I watched him pick his nose with his T-shirt. He was playing with a bug on the ground and took it outside to then further play with the bug outside this man was an early adult and should know better. yes he did come in and wash his hands nonetheless very disturbing to watch while I was waiting for my food. Bugs were also seen on the floor ( it's summer. They can't completely be avoided, but playing with the bug is ridiculous.) read more

The food is wonderful! Despite the outdated atmosphere when walking in, the food is absolutely fabulous. I love the sweet and sour chicken especially. The staff is extremely fast and kind, especially the woman who is always at the front ordering counter. She manages to do a million things and once and doesn't skip a beat. I might have caught the staff on an off night here. There seemed to be a fight going on between the owner and the hostess. It was a little strange and felt somewhat personal... Anyway... I get the impression that this is a great spot for take out, but not many people dine in. I was enjoying a change of air out of my hotel room so dining in suited me, but the environment is a little different. The phone rings VERY loud as they do take-out orders. I had the tofu sheets with edamame in a brown sauce. The food was SO good. I can't say a bad thing about it. Flavorful and filling without any sick feeling. Really really yummy. I also had the creamy crab soup which reminded me of a sort of egg drop base with some crab in it. I loved it. Next time I'll do a carry out order for sure! read more

An older man waiting for takeout told me that its the best and Mt. Pleasant. He said he has lived there for a lot of years and he was not wrong. Wait time is horrible!!!. If you plan to call in a take out then you should also plan to wait over an hour.We have called in takeout multiple times and have waited over an hour each time. Absolutely crazy and the food is most definitely not worth the wait. read more

We stopped in on our way down 127 to E Lansing since I've been craving Chinese food since we moved north from years of living in SE Michigan. The small seating area reminded me of my favorite little take out spot in our old neighborhood, and was happy to spot a small tea station set up for those dining in! Both of us ordered General Tao's Chicken (combination), one 'spicy' and one 'regular' since we weren't familiar with their level of 'spicy' heat. The spicy was more like what we were used to but both dish were just ok. The chicken was cut up so small that all we tasted was the batter. The fried rice was very bland and there wasn't much sauce to spoon over it. But it was definitely low-cost. read more

I love Chinese (and American Chinese, which is what this clearly is), but this did not work for me tonight. This was by far the greasiest Chinese I've ever had. My chest was hurting at the end. I wish they were in Midland. We get takeout from them almost every time we go to Mt. Pleasant. Food made fresh to order. Love their steamed dumplings - the best anywhere. We rarely get the entrees because the soups and dumplings fill us up. I'm not a fan of veggies and there are a lot in the entrees, but the sauce and meats that are in the entrees are delicious. We ordered teriyaki chicken, Szechwan beef, and egg rolls. The teriyaki was loaded with vegetables, had very little chicken, and was too light in the actual teriyaki flavor. The beef was very good. I can't write about the egg rolls, but they gave me spring rolls instead. We were just visiting the area, but this looks like they have a huge following, it was very busy on the Saturday night we visited. This is your cookie-cutter quick Chinese cuisine spot. You assuredly know the type: tiny, maybe a touch grimy, with a large counter and roughly three tables. The kitchen area accounts for about three-quarters of their restaurant as most people are taking food to go. As long as you don't expect too much, you won't be disappointed. I had the orange chicken and some hot and sour soup. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Every bite and every facet of the place is middling. I ate here because I was starving in rural Mount Pleasant Michigan and nothing else in the area was open. First wok is a place I've been coming since I was a kid with my family. Their food is made fresh every order. It's delicious, we usually bounce back and forth between their white board menu and the menu on their paper hand out. The number 4 (chicken and zucchini) is my all time favorite. This place is great for takeout as there is very little space to eat there, only one or two tables. The prices and selections are great and the specials are always good for two meals at home. You can call ahead or stop by and pick your order, then pick it up in 15 to 20 min. read more

Food is all very good and portions are excellent. Served very hot and fresh. This is a very small plaza store with 4 tables, not particularly clean and definitely not fancy. We ordered our meals at the counter and went to a table. The attendant brought the meals one at a time and probably a few minutes apart. Drinks were selected from the cooler. The Hunan beef was pretty tasty. It was flavorful and had just the right spice. The price was good too. The combination lunch which included your choice of rice came to less than $6. No drink was included with the combo. The only thing that I noticed was the Hunan was light on the beef. Very cheap lunch specials (under or equal to $5!!). Service there is very timely and always with a smile. The lady working at the counter even remembers customers and what they usually like to order, after a while. Additionally, there's a separate menu for those that can read mandarin (REALLY GOOD STUFF). Everything on the general menu is excellent; however, you cannot walk out of this restaurant without trying their dumplings! I personally prefer boiled, but fried is also very good.
