Decent Chinese food and the prices for lunch and Dinner combos are very reasonable ! My favorite is shrimp with lobster sauce , the spare ribs are also good ! There fried jumbo shrimp are also a good choice but you have to tell them you want them lightly fried sometimes they can be over cooked! Finding good Chinese food is always a struggle when you move and I'm so glad that I found Great Wall. They are always super quick with their deliveries and the food has been fresh and flavorful. Decent food for the price you pay. Came here recently after seeing the place while driving home and decided to order some chinese instead of cooking a meal. I've been to many Chinese restaurants, mostly that of in San Francisco and the bay area and chow mein is my usual go-to for my grandmother and I to share. We decided to order chow mein and when we ordered the food, I patiently waited till the older lady was done talking on the phone. When she was finished, she looked at me, rather dead looking with a big frown and blank eyes. Despite the fact that there was a mic to help with talking to each other due to the plastic screen for covid precautions, she spoke quietly. I couldn't hear her and said, "Sorry, can you repeat what you said?" She proceeded to get upset and called over a younger lady who kindly took our order. I asked for chow mein, which literally means fried noodles. The young lady told us, "Chow Mein is just fried vegetables. There are no noodles." And "Well some people believe chow mein is fried noodles but there are no noodles, just fried vegetables. If you want noodles, order lo mein instead." We went ahead and did so but I was rather perplexed by the fact that she said chow mein has no noodles. I googled, curious if my knowledge has been wrong and if my life has always been a lie and if all the restaurants in San Francisco and in the bay have been wronging their customers with lies. But in fact, the chow mein is indeed fried noodles. I was still curious and wanted answers from a human. I asked my friends, nearly all Asian, some Chinese, some Vietnamese, and so forth. I got immediate answers as if I had asked google but instead felt even better about my knowledge since it was a human answering me. "It literally means fried noodles." "Mein means noodles." Damn bruh, that's crazy. The food i ordered was still rather good, at least for the price you pay. A large order is enough to probably fill 3-4 people as I was able to fill my plate twice and there was still more than half left in the container. The Hot and Sour Soup was rather bussin in my opinion. The crispy wanton noodles I got were really crunchy and not soggy which is a plus, definitely a nice snack or topping, whichever floats your boat. -2 stars for the lady who initially took my order as she was rather quick to become upset even though she's talking quietly and not using the mic that has been implemented on their counter for everyone's convenience and for their chow mein. read more

I've always passed by Great Wall on my way to work for the past 6 months and never felt the need to go into this restaurant. Yesterday when hunger struck, and I felt like throwing away my hard earned money - I ventured into Great Wall. When you go up to the counter there is no posted sign that the limit to use a card is $10. So I place my order after much deliberation- the hot and spicy beef size small. The guy says I have to add more to my order to make it $10, so I decide to add the "vegetable chow mein"- thinking how could this be a bad order? Anyways I pay up front before receiving my order (which would later prove to be a major disappointment) 15 minutes later my disappointment, I mean order, is ready. I take my bag and go to the table - guy who took my order follows me and asks how many tiny boxes of half filled white rice I have, I say one, and he gives me another, as the order for the chow mein and beef both come with a tiny rice each. Open up the beef dish - when they say size small they truly mean it, I've never seen such small portion sizes for such over the top price point. I digress. I open up what I thought would be a chow mein dish- I see in a small dish, soupy soaked broccoli, cabbage, and bean sprouts. I look back at the menu - "vegetable chow mein" - they served literal vegetable chow mein meaning the bean sprouts are supposed to be chow mein look a likes. Deceitful menu practice and labeling to file a soup under the chow mein menu. Taste wise - whatever 3 pieces of random beef were in the beef dish tasted slightly rank and weird. Loaded with onions more than beef or peppers. It was okay tasting, nothing to write home about. The soupy cabbage, bean sprout, broccoli concoction was okay tasting too, if it had been a soup I ordered and not my expecting a chow mein dish. Not being an upfront complainer, I just eat my food. not that bringing up my issues would come to a resolution seeing as how the female owner is very loud and rude and her shouting and screaming the entire 30 minutes I desperately tried to "enjoy" the meal. It just seemed like they would weasel it out to be in the right. Another note- they charge for chopsticks!! $0.75... As well if you would like a fortune cookie. And in my bag were 2 single solitary pieces of thin cheap napkins the kind where you need like 49 pieces, but there were 2... I agree that this place is a hit and miss depending on the dish. Some dishes like pork fried rice, are too oily. Boneless BBQ ribs are dry like leather... As the Chinese people would say, it is "ma-ma hu-hu" (meh, in plain English ;-) . To be fair, they do specify on the menu that chopsticks, fried noodles, fortune cookies are extra and cost 75 cents (listed under "Side Orders"). My experience with this restaurant was challenging: one of disappointment and downright frustration! Let's start with the first barrier....comprehension of the English language, not to mention the noise in the background was over bearing. When I had to repeat myself while trying to give the delivery address, while the woman who answered the phone kept cutting me off to get the address; I should have known then that this was not going to end the way I had hoped. Again I found I had to repeat myself three times with each item I attempted to order. She even repeated my order back to me before I hung up the phone: chicken wings with pork fried rice and a combo order of boneless ribs with plain fried rice; no eggroll and a ginger ale... and it was just as I had translated it....or so I thought. Once I received the (partial) order it was obvious that there was a loss in translation somewhere. I immediately called the restaurant to notify them of the screw up. The same woman answered the phone and after verifying the delivery address, proceeded to tell me I did NOT order the chicken wings that I specifically knew was the first thing that came out of my mouth. I was absolutely furious at this point. I cannot understand how just a combination order of boneless ribs with a small order of fried rice came to $12. Not to mention that instead of receiving a Ginger Ale, they confused that with a Pepsi. They had already charged my credit card so I guess there was no need to satisfy the customer. After speaking with a friend about the experience, she informed me of the problem she too had with placing orders over the phone. After this, not only will I not attempt to call in any more orders to this restaurant, but I will never patronize there again...period! My recommendation for them to better service this community is to first, hire someone who can speak and understand English.
