It also has a large bounce house, a small bicycle course, a foam block area, a sensory bin gem section and a pretty impressive water play area. I think the water play area was the most impressive part of the indoor playground. It was also nice to have a cafe in the middle with plentiful seating and a decent selection of kids snacks and foods (pizza, grilled cheese, sandwiches). Pricing I think was comparable to other indoor playgrounds, except they made me buy socks which was a bit annoying (I guess you can bring your own, but my girls were wearing sandals). It was about ~ $45 dollars for 2 kids, but unlimited time and I believe you can exit and come back later (which is another plus). Overall a good option on a rainy or snowy day to let the kids blow off some steam. My girls weren't THAT into the water play section, so I would probably be better off just going to the Strong Museum where we have an annual pass and has more activities.

This review is for the ice skating rink which replaces the fountain and reflecting pool at the park…read morein the winter months. The rink is operational from Dec through mid March, as long as temps are above 45 degrees. There is a zamboni that is used to resurface the ice every couple or few hours, keeping it in pretty good shape. The rink is not that large, but it's a good size for an outside rink (as opposed to indoors rinks, which are larger because they are used for hockey). For the past few Decembers, Wegmans has generously sponsored the rink, so that skate 'rentals' and use of the rink are free up until New Years. You just have to wait in the line (which can be long at times!) to get your skates. When renting skates, they have figure-skating-style and hockey-style skates; they also have a wide ranges of sizes from small sizes for kids through all the adult sizes. They are periodically sharpening the skates too but beware that this is a public place and the skates you receive might not be that sharp. For those new to skating, the rink offers 'skate mates' which allow you to hold on to something and keep your balance while learning how to balance on the blades. This is a great option for little kids and adults that need extra stabilization. For 2024, they have a special event where you can skate for free if you bring a canned good for their food drive through Jan 15th. Then after that, the rink continues to operate but switches over to a paid model (prices vary). You can still rent skates or bring your own and just pay to use the rink. Note that if you bring your own skates, you can also get them sharpened onsite on Mondays and Tuesdays. Where to leave your stuff?? It's recommended to change into your skates inside the warming hut, but then take your shoes/boots outside and leave them under one of the tables or benches. Make sure NOT to walk on the concrete sidewalks with your skates on - stay on the rubber mats provided between the warming hut and rink - otherwise the surface of the skate blade can be damaged. There are also nearby bathrooms and the warming shelter includes a fireplace. The location has free parking all around, and at holiday times, coincides with the Rochester Holiday Village - which means it can be busy and parking can be a challenge, but there's also parking in the Strong museum garage.

The alleys themselves are OK but the scoring machines are miserable. They must be at least 30 years old and are in HORRIBLE condition. You practically need a sledgehammer to press the keys, they have a tendency to shut down at random and if you ask the folks at the desk for help you get a death-stare (after they reluctantly acknowledge your presence). I'm really trying to be kind here when I politely ask that the owner/management upgrade the scoring machines or remove them altogether. The bowling experience here would be much more pleasant keeping score the old fashioned way with a pencil and paper. I'll most likely continue to stop by and peek in to see if anyone at the lanes decides that a upgrade does indeed make sense to insure customer convenience - if not I'll have to find somewhere else to spend my leisure-time dollars. I sincerely hope the Rose Bowl values its customer base.

I can't speak to league or professional standards but the lanes seem well kept and we haven't experienced any mechanical problems with pin set and ball return etc. The newer wine bar is really quite nice too. We have stopped in just for that before. On our most recent visit we brought our kids. Our younger is 12 years old with a high level of special needs. Upon entering we had an encounter with a very rude league bowler. We decided their presence was not worth the risk knowing our child can be disruptive even from the opposite end of the lanes (not always, but he has his moments). To that end: The staff stepped right up and very sternly addressed the unacceptable behavior of the league bowler. I don't think they were even aware yet that our son has special needs. I am incredibly appreciative of that, not many people will so quickly intervene and do what is right. They lost our business that day because of a very rude patron, but not of their own accord. We will be back, we will just call ahead next time to make sure it is a good time to bring our kids. Five stars and highly recommended for a quality facility and quality staff.

I had never heard of it before, but the size of the facility and the variety of offerings immediately stood out. They have soccer, basketball, volleyball, turf fields, and hard court spaces, so there's plenty for kids to do. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the party, and most importantly, the kids had an absolute blast. I'll definitely be looking into classes here and would strongly consider TRI County again for a future kids' birthday party.

Parking is limited, I had to park in a field, luckily the ground was frozen, but my long walk to the entrance was brutal. Also they charge to get in and watch the kids play, torn on that. I visited with my niece the last 3 years at other sports venues (Henrietta, Victor, and Gates) and no admission fee. It's only $5.00 to get in here, but that with far away parking in a field was no fun. Inside is ok, bathrooms ok, place seemed clean, concessions good. Had a nice visit with my niece while her daughter played Volleyball. Would go back, but prefer not too just due to admissions fee, and lack of parking, other than it's ok.

The location is nice, in the sea breeze area with plenty of food options around (no food served here, just alcohol). There were 5 of us and we took 2 lanes. We were the largest group there, with only a few other patrons on 2 other lanes. There are 8 lanes total. The look and feel is very old school, with all shades of pink paint adorning the walls, old newspaper cutouts, old shoes, and all used/donated bowling balls. We even kept our own scores on paper they provided (but later used a bowling calculator on our phone ). The guys split a few pitchers of beer throughout the evening, the bar seemed to be fully stocked and the barkeep was a nice gentleman. It was a very low key evening and we all had a good time. I'd return again.
