Bonus points for being managed by a group of some of the best people- the staff are really great, and there's a community of regular skaters that make this place a second home for many, not just a facility selling ice time. Helpful fyi: - apparently this rink is cold. I'm a bad judge of this, but I'm good at judging my non-skate friends who come to spectate or who don't usually ice skate. Bring layers to be safe. Comparing to other rinks I would say it's nowhere near as cold as RITs hockey rink at Polissini Arena or Paul Lewis rink, but it's not... warm? -no regular snack bar/cafe here. They have one, but it's only used during hockey games or other special times of high volume/staffing -you can spectate through some smaller panes in the lobby- there's a few chairs/couches and it is warm in there, but it's not set up as a true "viewing" space. During public sessions, the bleachers aren't out, but there are tables and chairs to sit at to put on skates, and a central place to keep your things. -they have scooters/pushers you can use for free for kids learning how to skate -season for this rink is typically only Sep-April, because in the summer this facility also serves as as the admin building for the parks and large newly renovated pool out front which is honestly how most people know about the rink! This rink is one of my favorites in the Roc for it's still somewhat lesser known existence and the casual vibe it maintains as a municipal rink funded by the city. Since it's part of the park, when the weather warmer you can bring a picnic and plan to spend time in nature before or after the ice. This rink is the indoor twin of the outdoor rink at MLK in downtown, but most people don't make that connection.

We are told this *after* we pay for the rental. Their response? "You can come back later and see if someone returned one." But, we already paid, and so did the people who are wearing those skates. 2) skate for awhile in the wrong size skates, PAIN 3) Zamboni: Nope, no zamboni, so it's like you're skating on loose legos. 4) Go back to check as suggested, they still don't have the right size. No surprise, who returns skates before time is up? No one of course. More painful skating. 5) Return skates, but the family will not be returning to RIT. Plenty of other rinks locally.

Table was set-up nicely for the party. The staff was cheerful, friendly and accommodating. Here are some things to know: Pizza was from Salvatore's - when it was delivered, we were not notified. I had to go ask when they would be serving our pizza a few minutes after 8pm. They were like oh, it's here. It's in the warming rack. We didn't know you wanted it. I wasn't made aware that I had to ask for our pizza. Booking an end of the night party basically gave the kids at our party the place to themselves a little after 8pm. Nobody was there except us and the staff. This may change if the place becomes more popular. It is a much smaller venue compared to the trampoline parks in Rochester. One thing our kids said was that there weren't really any long trampolines to bounce on. Overall, it was a success. The glow aspect with the upbeat music definitely made it better for the older kids.I feel this park is geared for the younger kids. Though it is nice to have something closer to home.

Great place for a kids event and probably best for those with tumbling/cheer/gymnastics experience. However, the monthly price of tuition is extremely, unreasonably expensive at $329/month with no added perks and a lot of additional out of pocket expenses. Tumbling lessons aren't even included. Your athlete will not be trained for higher level stunting or tumbling unless you pay $50-$75/m extra for those classes or privates. Be prepared to budget around 10K per year to have your athlete become an All Star Cheer member at this gym. No Sibling discounts are offered unless they are all on a team. Very disappointed with the comradery at competitions. The athletes get off stage and just disperse, leaving you to have to search for your child in a very large venue. After performances the CA crowd just disperses and are "seen but not heard". Very disappointed in the choreography and routines. They say they are the "Best of the Best", but do not produce competitive routines. Your athlete is required to spend an additional $350-$400 per season for 4 Rebel brand practice outfits (a sports bra and shorts). Youth and higher teams only attend 1-2 in state competitions and on average 5 out of state Competitions, including NCA in Dallas TX. Additional costs include, hotel, food and transportation to and from. If your athletes team receives a bid to Summit or worlds, be prepared to spend thousands on this event in Disney in Orlando Florida.

The location is nice, in the sea breeze area with plenty of food options around (no food served here, just alcohol). There were 5 of us and we took 2 lanes. We were the largest group there, with only a few other patrons on 2 other lanes. There are 8 lanes total. The look and feel is very old school, with all shades of pink paint adorning the walls, old newspaper cutouts, old shoes, and all used/donated bowling balls. We even kept our own scores on paper they provided (but later used a bowling calculator on our phone ). The guys split a few pitchers of beer throughout the evening, the bar seemed to be fully stocked and the barkeep was a nice gentleman. It was a very low key evening and we all had a good time. I'd return again.
