My little fur baby was having issues with a bump on his skin. Drove an hour away to see Dr. Greek and she did wonders for my baby and also helped with finding the culprit to his allergies and his never ending licking his arms and paws. He's now been 3.5 weeks out and I hardly see him licking his paws now. Dr. Greek was very helpful , knowledgeable , reassured me my puppy will be ok , and has a great sense of humor. I scheduled the appointment with Dr Jean Greek , Because my little dog of 17 years has gotten so much worse with her itching. This is one appointment that I was actually not looking forward to. I was so afraid that they were going to be charging me with a lot of labs and so on and walking out with a $1300 to $1500 bill. I must say... what a pleasant surprise! What really makes this clinic extraordinary is Dr Greek, she is quite the gem! She has an amazing background and also a sense of humor. She spoke to me for about 30 minutes and asked me very good questions. We came up with a plan together. I feel so very confident with my decision to come here. I only wish that I could've taken her home with me and had her sit around the dinner table tonight so I can just get a couple more hours with her. I feel she's honest and is doing an excellent job with taking care of our Snowy. Bottom line I am thrilled to be here and paying $330. It was well worth it, just in the conversation with her alone. All the positive reviews should say enough- Dr. Greek is amazing! I work at another vet on the central coast and after 3 years of trying to fight off my big bulldogs allergies with special foods, supplements, Apoquel and Cytopoint I said enough. 6 months later she's on a routine of 1 allergy injection every 4 weeks and her allergies are in check. For the first time in years my dog is not constantly chewing her skin, licking her legs or scratching her neck raw! The amazing results would be enough, but on top of that they can always get me in when I need, even though I have a tough work schedule and live 60+ miles away, and Dr. Greek is just so dang nice! She has a great bedside manner, spends plenty of time with us and, most importantly, my dog loves her and feels completely at home in their office! read more

After 16 months and over $2500 in vet fees trying to cure an ear infection in my dog, I finally found Dr Greek. Due to COVID lung damage she takes extra precautions when dealing with people. Her staff were all very helpful and polite. She quickly diagnosed a tumor/polyp way down in his ear and proposed a treatment plan, with surgery as a last resort. Very easy to talk to. Dr. Greek is nice enough but this place is a nightmare due to Horribly Rude staff. The women came and took my sick dog out of the care and then mocked me when I asked to please be allowed to go in with him. She criticized me when I offered to wear 3 masks and told me I didn't have to have my dog treated there if I didn't like it. That's the treatment I get when wanting to go in to meet the vet I have never met before who I'm paying tens of thousands of dollars to to help my sick dog? My dog has still not recovered. I've informed the board and I advise you to go to a different dermatologist. No excuse to be so rude and unkind towards paying customers trying to get the best help for their sick loved ones. read more

Our cat had an inflammation in one of her paws. The vet that we initially went to recommended that we take her to Dr. Greek, who was very accommodating and ewxwicws her within the next hour so we didn't have to make another trip with our cat to the city. Dr. Greek saw what the problem was right away and set up the treatment program, which worked well. In the remainder of the process she has been very accessible for follow-up. We highly recommend her. We thank our lucky stars for Dr Greek, who has sorted our sensitive American bully Patrick's insane allergy issues. It's been a really hard year since rescuing him trying to get on top of his horrendous yeast and skin infections, but in the past four months since we started going to her, he's almost 100 per cent better, which is more than we ever dared hope. The allergy test and antigens might have been a little expensive, but it's saved us thousands going forward in monthly vet visits for cytopoint, medicated baths, ear drops and antibiotics (that were barely working throughout that miserable time). Patrick loves going to see Dr Greek so much that he refused to leave after his most recent checkup. As a dog mum, I also appreciate Dr Greek's empathetic manner. Where some other vet visits tend to leave me overwhelmed and confused, she explains things to me in layman's terms and reassured me that we're doing a good job with our little dude. She genuinely loves animals and her anecdotes about her allergy journey with her own dogs makes you feel like you're not alone. We're so grateful to Dr Greek and her talented, friendly staff. After nearly one year of taking my tortured, scabby, insane scratching dog to several Vets, I was recommended to Dr. Greek ... what a smart person! She was able to diagnose scabies (hard to diagnose by most vets) for my rescue poodle and give us a sane way to go about treatment. The staff was amazing as well. Itchy dog? Her staff rude horrible and disrespectful ...I would never recommend a single person to this office to be treated the way I was and felt there racist to boot .I had the door slammed in my face when asking questions after the fact I drove 60 miles for a 2nd appt to see Dr.Greek ..I was never told I couldn't be in the same room with my dog while being examined for his severe skin disorder.I was left gun-founded as if I had the plague .No one told me in advance I would not be able to be with my 1 yr old puppy during his examination when I booked appointment or I would never of drove 120 miles round trip ..I would never of agreed to drive that distance if this was disclosed..to me .... My dog gets scared of Vets he is a young Golden only yr old Thank God I found a professional Dermatologist in Woodland Hills called Acsess who took excellent care of my dog and treated my husband and I with dignity and respect but more so excellent in there treatment to my fury kid and helped us with his lifetime skin decease and allergies he has .. FYI .. I actually gave Dr.Greek a 2nd chance after she insulted my son and I 1st time we went to her when she commented that we got a lemon of a pet and should give him back to the breeder .I gave her a 2nd chance to be treated by her staff as I described early . Dr. Greek saved my kitty's life! We rescued a big tom cat with numerous issues, among those was biting. He had to be quarantined because he'd bitten someone. So I brought him home to provide him a life better than in the salt marsh. The cause of the biting was allergies so severe that he'd developed hyperesthesia, a condition where itching is so severe, he'd have seizures. We'd tried many things before going to Dr. Greek; and even when we did, she was concerned that his condition was so poor that he'd never live a comfortable life. It's been a year. Big Kitty is on antigens and meds. He's not 100% allergy free but isn't the miserable mess he was! From the minute we walked into their office, they treated us like valued friends and our dog like he was family. Dr. Greek will always make sure to present you with whatever options are available, and she'll lay out the pros and cons of each. If something isn't working, she's ready with a plan B, or plan C, or plan D. Above all, it's 100% clear that Dr. Greek loves animals (her usual place during an office visit? on the floor giving all kinds of love to our 90-pound pit bull mix) and is invested in their well-being. Dr. Greek is really a great doctor! One of our dogs has severe allergies. We took our dog to Dr. Greek to have the allergy tests and were told that the antigens take a long time to work, and it doesn't work for all dogs. We put our dog on the antigens for about 4 months, and she started to get itchier again. By that time, Dr. Greek was able to acquire enough Apoquel so we could put our dog on it. (It was being rationed by the pharmaceutical at that time; you could only get it from a veterinary dermatologist that was participating in the trials.) We were told that some dogs eventually stop responding to Apoquel while others do well on it for years. Dr. Greek was very upfront that no allergy treatment works for all dogs and that the range of relief a dog may experience from the various treatment options varies from total relief to very little relief. She explains all the options along with the positives and negatives of each option. Our experience with Dr. Greek has not been anything like what is expressed in the one star review. Yes, she does talk fast, because her brain works so fast; so you do have to listen carefully. She spends as much time explaining things as you want; never rushes you. She gives you all of the pros/cons and options. I have called her numerous times to avoid having to make the drive to Santa Barbara (it's about an hour & 1/2 drive one way) and told her to bill our charge card for the consult. She has never charged us for those consults. At our last visit, Dr. Greek even told us that Apoquel and monthly immuno therapy injections are now available through regular veterinaries. So I don't think she's in the business to just make money Yes, it is expensive to take your dog to a dermatologist (or an oncologist or cardiologist or ...; just like human medicine specialists are much more expensive than general practitioners). We've had several regular veterinarians say they would never be a veterinary dermatologist, because the the job is more difficult. There are a million things an animal (like people) can be allergic to but having all of the allergens available for the antigen shots is impossible; and there's no way to predict what dog will respond and what one won't. Bottom line is we have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Greek and her office staff and would highly recommend her to anyone! read more

Dr. Greek is an amazing vet and a great person. She saved two of our dogs. The first, several years ago, had a "mole" like growth on his back. La Cumbre vet said to just watch it. It stayed and looked worse in a month so I went back. The vet said may be I should take him to Dr. Greek. She immediately recognized it as malignant and removed it and helped with some other skin issues too. The second dog, had a growth on her ear that looked like an old tick bite so I wasn't worried. I went to our current vet at St. Francis, Dr. Lawrence, for a vaccination and also showed it to her. She said it was a melanoma and scheduled surgery for 2 days later. She said a big section of the ear would have to be removed and that we may want plastic surgery after. We were quite shocked and worried and getting ready for the surgery when, the day before, I thought, Hey, I should ask Dr. Greek. Dr. Greek immediately saw this form of melanoma wasn't very dangerous for a dog and there was no hurry. BUT! she was able to remove it very simply right there in the office--with no damage to the ear. Then, she found a dangerous mast cell in another place, tested it on the spot, and removed it. That one WAS potentially serious. We saved our dog and a couple thousand and disfiguring surgery at La Cumbre. read more

Dr. Greek is amazing. She and her staff care so much about the animals, and helping them to get healthy again. I first brought my Corgi in 3 years ago, her skin was flaking, and hair was falling out. She was so uncomfortable and itchy. We ran some tests, and found out what in the environment was causing this. She's been on allergy shots since, and is a completely healthy and happy dog. Since the testing, I'm able to pop in there to give my dog her shots, however often needed, and am out of the office within 5 minutes. This is worth the investment, and will pay off in the long run. read more

Amazing dermatologist!!!!! My shepherd had horrible skin allergies that were being somewhat managed by steroids and antihistamines. Unfortunately, he was still miserable with constant scratching and hair loss. Out of options I tuned to Dr. Greek who was highly recommended by my general vet. The office is so small you will probably miss it your first time there. Once inside you know you're getting quality care. The staff is amazing and makes you feel like you're their only client. Once you meet Dr. Greek prepare to be amazed. She is top in the field of dermatology, though attention because she talks fast as she examines your animal. After going over my shepherd's history and doing a physical exam we discussed trying a new medication that was just being given by specialists at the time. I left hopeful, but realistic that this treatment would not be very effective. Within 3 days my dog had completely stopped itching and started re-growing hair. It was as though he was a completely different dog. Dr. Greek also let it be known there are many different treatment modalities that can be experimented with to help chronic animals. While pricey you get what you pay for which is top notch service and the best dermatologist in the area. Highly Recommended!!!!!! read more
