Don't know when we've gotten this kind of value for the money! We got chicken tenders and wedges. The wedges are really big and I was skeptical, but I was wrong! They are delicious! The chicken pieces are likewise very big. The meat is tender and moist and the breading is crispy without being greasy. We had quite a bit left over. Unlikely many fried foods, they reheated beautifully in the air fryer--still not greasy! They sell beverages by the bottle and offer a fun variety. I really appreciated that they had a couple of options that are both sugar and caffeine free--a rarity in restaurants and convenience stores lately! The man at the counter was great. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. There is no seating, so we had a fun little car picnic before hitting the road again. We have struggled to find places to eat while traveling through this part of IN. No more! Wilson's will definitely be our spot!

I love fried chicken. We scooted up to Sheridan to give them a try! The place is dang cute, with chicken pics and quotes all over. There is no seating - so you must pick-up your food to go. The menu offers many options of chicken and assorted sandwiches. We picked up 2 pc. Chicken meals that come with a side and biscuit for $6.49. What a deal! The chicken has a super crispy batter and is hot and delicious. One piece filled me up and I saved the other for later. I had the mashed potatoes with gravy as my side and my husband had the potato wedges. The wedges are the way to go. Each wedge is a quarter of a large potato and is served hot and crispy. The biscuits are awesome. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a short wait for food as the potato wedges were cooked fresh. There is an up-charge for credit cards use. I'll be a regular even if they are 10 miles away. The drive through Indiana farmland is beautiful.

I've struggled with how to rate and review Goose the Market for a long time…read more I've struggled mightily. It's an Indianapolis icon in many ways. It's beloved. And listen, it's not the most wheelchair friendly place in the world. If you're a wheelchair user, you're in all likelihood not going to the cellar unless you're extraordinary with you're chair or you crawl. I remember attending a Yelp event here, and I just wrestled with these issues so much. It's not inaccessible - you can get in the door, though even the parking is a bit wonky and the curb-cuts a bit worn. This is an older building in an older neighborhood. So yeah, if you're a wheelchair user plan ahead. I am a wheelchair user. And I suppose I should knock off my usual 1-star for accessibility issues. But, I just can't do it. I, instead, choose to go 5-stars with my narrative disclaimer that there are accessibility issues here. But, my word. This is a great place and every single experience I've had with Goose the Market, including last night's Italian Film Festival, has been stellar whether I'm in their location or at an event they are catering. What is Goose the Market? First off, nearly everyone considers it one of the best - Indianapolis Monthly, Eater, Yelp, etc. Goose the Market offers a daily menu of sandwiches, soups, gelato, and small plates. It offers raw beef, pork, poultry, game, seafood, in-house made sausage/smoked meats, and more. It offers charcuterie - both in-house and from other producers. It offers farmstead cheeses, fresh produce, artisan breads, preserves, sauces, pickles, pasta, crackers, flours/grains, and a lot more. There's the cellar - Enoteca bar with Italian style wine by the glass and small plates (and it has all-ages seating). Goose the Market offers a wine of the month club, gift cards, catering, classes, daily specials, and more. What can I say? There are those places that are worth the effort. As a lifelong person with a disability, I long ago realized the world would never be perfectly accessible. It's never going to happen. I'll continue to work toward a more accessible world, though I'll also honor that there are those places where I feel welcome anyway. I feel welcome at Goose the Market, though I can't quite get the full experience. The service is exceptional, the products quite awesome, the environment warm and friendly, and there's simply no doubt it's one of Indy's treasures. So yeah, five stars. With a disclaimer that those with mobility impairments may need to plan ahead or have a companion along. Who wants to be my companion?

I have recently been to Goose twice, both for different things. The first visit was for the bacon…read moremaking class, and the second was to pick up my bacon, and trying some of the sandwiches they have. Bacon making class: overall I am glad I did the class, but think there are some things that could change. The information provided at the beginning of the class didn't flow the best, and used a lot of terms I didn't understand- knowing your audience is important. We were told we would get 1.5lbs bacon, and .5lbs bacon bits. When picking up the bacon, we only got the bacon, and none of the bits. This needs to be updated on the class description. Sandwiches: we tried a goose, and a batalli. The goose was good- nothing spectacular. I was a fan of the batalli- nice amount of mayo, appropriate spice, and good amount of meat/cheese. Would definitely get the batalli next time. Overall, I enjoy the sandwiches, think the sandwich class could be improved.

It's very cool on the inside with vintage and Indiana-themed decor, tin ceilings, and, of course, a potbelly stove. The staff were friendly. But brother and I were very confused about the ordering process. There wasn't a lot of directional signage showing where to start and each step of the process. I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

Service and ambiance were both fantastic. I was one of the first customers of the day, and I dined-in. My server was delightful and attentive. There are a very small number of tables and booths available, but that's perfectly fine for a small-town pizza joint. As much as it pains me to say this, I found the pizza to be underwhelming. I was a bit surprised at the overall lack of bold flavors. The price point is great, and you get a lot of pizza for the dollar, but I was expecting much more of a flavor explosion. I had high hopes, because visually this pizza closely resembles my hometown favorite pizza as a kid (Volcano Pizza in Elkhart), but it just didn't live up to the expectations. I'm sure I'll give this place another try at some point, and maybe experiment with some other pizza combinations on the menu.
