It seemed like they cleaned the vents and did a decent enough job. I showed up about halfway through and when I got there he seemed to be in better spirits and friendlier. I asked some questions about concerns we had and maintenance and the man obliged in answering but was dismissive about it. The cleaning was fairly priced so I would recommend for regular maintenance but if you're wanting good attention to detail for something that's been left for a while you might want to shop around

On Tuesday, a guy named Ron from Clean Air Pro came with a drill-powered chimney sweep kit that costs $40 online. He refused to use the proper equipment, claiming a chimney drill power kit is how they "always clean air vents." The online statement on clean air pro specifically says "we use specialized equipment - vacuums and rotary brushes, among others-to complete our tasks." And it was very different from the top notch service I received 3 years prior... Their office first said they'd get back to me in a day, but then the owner, Ben called and did his best to make it right. Ben managed to find a team that could make it out the very next day (which is very short notice, so was much appreciated) A crew including Alex from Houston came to do a "fix" - and they did a phenomenal job! They not only put plastic to cover surfaces and protect from dust, they washed the registers and primed them, they vacuumed (see pic) with the proper equipment, got so much dust out , they sealed off the sides of my register boxes since attic dust was coming out (such great attention to detail!), they even cleaned out the box under my AC that I thought was beyond hope! So grateful to the company for making it right, to Alex and crew for the hard work, and to Ben (who's following up with more training to ensure his team follows exact same procedure as Houston).

He first showed me the picture he took of our downstairs attic and then the part that to me was very hinky was when I asked to see the picture of the second unit, it took him several minutes of scrolling through his phone to find another picture that showed a moldy unit. (If the picture was just taken it would've been right there next to the first picture.) Estimate was over 3K. I had another company come out two days later and they said we had no mold and the estimate $1100. I'm going with the second company who spent 30 minutes going over everything and making sure that they provided an accurate estimate versus the service we got from Clean Air Pro. The other major negative was the person didn't even put up the stairs back to the attics and left my back door open to the garage.

My Takeaway Apex delivers on availability and technical competence when you're in a crisis. However, I'd strongly recommend getting multiple quotes if time permits, as their emergency pricing appears significantly above market rate. The convenience of immediate service came at a steep premium that I wasn't prepared for. Would I use them again? Only in a true emergency where no other options exist, and I'd request detailed pricing breakdowns upfront. We weighed our options and ended up replacing the whole unit instead of compressor due to the cost of replacing older equipment and Wang and his apprentice did a phenomenal job! I'd recommend him to anyone needing HVAC repairs and I'll be calling him again when my other 14 year old unit decides it's had enough. Fingers crossed we have some time though! I was feeling nervous about finding someone ASAP who would be reliable and wouldn't give me the runaround on price or pushing additional services. And I was already making plans to stay the night at a friend's house for fear I couldn't get anyone to come out on such short notice. Xiaoyu responded to my voicemail in less than five minutes, he was able to come out within a few hours, and fixed my AC within 30 minutes, all by dinner time! On top of all that, his price was reasonable and he was a genuinely kind and friendly guy. I will definitely keep his number handy for next time! :)

I called Green Air Duct for an initial inspection to see if I needed to get my air ducts cleaned. It had been almost three years since the last cleaning, and after turning the HVAC on for the first time this year I experienced some congestion which I attributed to dust that may have accumulated in the system. Lucas showed up on time and worked quickly to identify all the vents and went into the attic to look at the main unit. Afterwards he showed me photos of the air ducts and fan blower in the furnace showing that they are all very clean still and there is no real need to service them right now. I called and obtained a quote for their cleaning and inspection. I scheduled the cleaning for a few days later. They were actually early. They explained everything beforehand, took photos of their inspection findings, gave me a quote for any additional services (we found mold growth) with the option to schedule them in the future (or not at all). I was not pressured into getting the additional services. They were quick and efficient. They are pleasant to work with and explain/answer all questions. Once the service was completed they showed me photos of the before and after of the ducts. HUGE difference! Lucas was phenomenal coming to service our vents after we found a birds nest in our exhaust. He went above and beyond to clean out years worth of build up, putting to shame the service we had hired to do the same job recently when we bought the house. He recommended services and products that we could actually benefit from (like a more flexible dryer hose or cage protector to prevent more nests in the future) but also steered us away from unnecessary additional services our appliances didn't need once reviewed. Our technician Lucas identified the source of the mold within the condensing unit, and due to our previously installed UV light that had failed. The person performing the work arrived a little early. He was very personable and confident and proceeded quickly to clean out the ducts. After he had completed the cleanup up he showed me that the ductwork was very porous and recommended the duct sealer and sanitizer.
