I have been using Green Cab for almost 9 months now. I think I can't take it anymore. I have been a customer of them on an average of almost twice a week. A couple of them are really good hard working people, but others just spoil everything. The dispatchers usually are very nice. But most of the time, after the cab arrives, the cab drivers insist heavily on "Cash" only. In fact some drivers totally deny giving you a ride if you don't have cash on you. They give reasons like "credit card machine doesn't work", "there is a charge for us if you use credit card" and all bullshit. I have had a situation before where cab came half an hour late at times. "Couldn't find the place" or they will wait for you totally somewhere on the main road and not in your area to pick up in spite of them having GPS. So you have to walk all the way there. Today was the worst. I waived a cab on the road, got in, the cab driver rudely asked me for a flat charge totally overpriced. Since it was overpriced, I told him "no" go by the meter (if it was close to the normal rate, I would have accepted. but this guy was rude and it was 50% overpriced). He said "No, get out of the cab". GET OUT OF THE CAB ? WHO THE F DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ? CAB 587. I asked him for the information sheet which every cab driver is suppose to display to the customer on the back of the front passenger sheet, he said he didn't have it. I told him I want to complain, he is like do what you want, my cab no. is 587. So I am doing what I want, I called up the company to complain and here for the review. Got out, waived again, two other cabs from other companies stopped by. Got in, next company took me without meter, but a normal charge. Not taking Green Cab anymore. We took Yellow cab from our hotel to Pier 55 for $14.75 On the way back, we hailed a Green cab instead of calling for a pickup The driver took a long way back to the hotel, did not have a meter or GPS turned on and then said we owed $30 when we arrived. Shame on us for trusting the pickup rather than call for a ride. Uber estimate was $22. read more

Same experience as everyone else. Will badger you for cash, tips, and make everything unpleasant. Driver forced "friendly" conversation at the start like a confidence artist. You can feel the fake rapport from the start, and I should have taken that as a sign. read more

Do Not use.............. they are Dishonest. I go from Seatac to Federal Way frequently. The fare is generally $52-55 using yellow cab (that's what I paid last week). THIS WAS DANGEROUS GREENCAB. I was stopped at an intersection; waiting at a green light to make a right turn. There were multiple people crossing in the cross walk. There was a GreenCab taxi (Plates AQL0503) coming the opposite direction of me; attempting to make a left turn. The driver of the GreenCab (Plates AQL0503) cut off and failed to yield to oncoming traffic and drove dangerously close to a person that was crossing in the cross-walk. The GreenCab driver then started verbally antagonizing the traffic he cut off. I will not continue my use of GreenCab services and until GreenCab starts addressing and holding accountable the UNSAFE driving behavior of it's own employees; I would suggest using an alternative company for transportation (Uber, Lyft, etc). RCW 46.61.185 (1) The driver of a vehicle intending to turn to the left within an intersection or into an alley, private road, or driveway shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle approaching from the opposite direction which is within the intersection or so close thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard. RCW 46.61.055 Whenever traffic is controlled by traffic control signals exhibiting different colored lights, or colored lighted arrows, successively one at a time or in combination, only the colors green, red and yellow shall be used, except for special pedestrian signals carrying a word or legend, and said lights shall indicate and apply to drivers of vehicles, pedestrians, and personal delivery devices, as follows: (1) Green indication (a) Vehicle operators facing a circular green signal may proceed straight through or turn right or left unless a sign at such place prohibits either such turn. Vehicle operators turning right or left shall stop to allow other vehicles lawfully within the intersection control area to complete their movements. Vehicle operators turning right or left shall also stop for pedestrians who or personal delivery devices that are lawfully within the intersection control area as required by RCW 46.61.235(1). read more

One of these taxis was riding the car behind me honking when we literally had nowhere to go. They wound up behind me and in bumper to bumper traffic kept riding my tail to the point I couldn't see the Toyota logo on the front anymore. Seriously thought they'd rear end me. It was typical rush hour traffic and there was a huge line of cars but they still kept acting like an impatient child flashing their lights, veering to the side to see ahead. This happened yesterday 7/21 between 5 and 5:30ish PM so hey green taxi of you see this, that driver? The number on the hood was 204. Fire them. Dangerous behavior. read more

Line of cabs at Seattle Cruise Ship Port. Driver didn't run meter and charged our credit card on her own personal device. Over Charged $30 more than Uber/Lift and $40 more than Taxi service. Hotel is 16 miles from ship terminal / 3 miles from downtown, during off peak time. Charged us $80! We have taken this exact route before and know the rates, and our friends took the same route, same time, same day, but in a different cab, and was charged $46. Driver Argued and Lied when I questioned her rate and showed her rates from my phone. In addition, Driver got lost while driving us and asked me to use my own GPS to navigate her to our hotel. She also made a U-Turn in the middle of the road with oncoming traffic. Company won't answer the phone. read more

Stay out of Green Cab 1026. The driver wanted to over charge us and when we wouldn't pay the exorbitant flat fee and went to get out of the cab, he started driving away WHILE WE WERE STILL IN THE CAB!!! This caused the door to hit my knee and almost knock me over while getting out of a very dirty, nasty cab that smelled like urine and cigarettes. The windshield was so dirty the driver could barely see out of it. I will be reporting this driver to the City of Seattle. He should NOT be on the road! read more

5/28 Seattle Ferry Terminal line of green cabs at exit. I'm an elder managing a heavy suitcase pressured to hurry to the directed vehicle at the end of the line. I heard $45 to airport but hearing impairment left me uncertain as to what I understood . Inside vehicle fare display $40. When I offered my credit card the driver explained something I again could not clearly understand that only cash was acceptable. Extremely fast , swerving in an out of traffic, slamming on brakes and absolute recklessness was, to say the least, unnerving. At drop off I gave him $40. He explained, again difficult to understand, $45 was the amount quoted. No point to argue and just wanting to get out of the vehicle, gave him $5. He made no move to exit and extended his hand mumbling something I could not understand. Then he extended his palm and traced the letters "TIP" with his finger. At this point I had the choice of getting change for $20 bill or giving him my last three $1bills. Choosing the latter, he agreed to remove my luggage and let me exit. The entire line up of vehicles at the ferry terminal looked and felt sleazy. I regret not using better judgement in choosing (they were the only taxi service there) this service. read more

If I could give Green Cab negative stars, I would. Based on my recent experience, there's no way I will EVER give Green Cab a dollar of my business. Because of the positive reviews here on Yelp!, and elsewhere, I called Green Cab at 6:15 a.m. to request a 9:15 a.m. ride to SeaTac airport. "No problem," I was assured. The dispatcher took my phone number so they could call if needed. 9:15 came and went without a sign of the cab or a phone call so, at 9:25, I called Green Cab. "The driver hit heavy traffic on 405," I was told. Traffic on 405. During rush hour. Gee, who'd have thought? "He'll be there in just a few minutes," I was reassured. Another 20 minutes passed without cab or call. At 9:45, with no sign of the driver, I was in danger of missing my flight, so I threw my bags into my own car and drove away while dialing Green Cab to cancel. "The driver's at your house," the dispatcher said. I could still see my house and saw clearly that no one was there, so either he was stretching the truth or was at the wrong address. Either way, he wasn't where he needed to be, and was more than a half-hour late on top of it. Understand this: even though they had my phone number and even though they knew the cab they'd assigned was running late, THEY DID NOTHING ABOUT IT. They didn't call me to tell me (I had to call them), nor did they find another cab that was closer and perhaps could have picked me up. UNFORGIVABLY BAD customer service, for which there is no excuse. If we've done business with a company before, had good experiences, and then something goes amiss, we can forgive it because, after all, "stuff happens." But when it happens the first time you do business with a company - or, more accurately, TRY to do business with them - and they do nothing to try to fix it, it's a different story. I understand other people have had great experiences with them but as for me, I am not about to give Green Cab a second chance. They really screwed the pooch on this one. read more

I have never used this service but I guarantee that they will NEVER get my business. The Green Cab guy said the drive to W Sea would be around $45 because of the bridge being out. We said we knew this. I hailed the cab from the curb. It pulled over. My entourage got in. I told him where we wanted to go. He took us there with the quickness. He was paid the fare + tip. This is typically how a taxi service should work. The difference between my experience and others who have posted theirs with Green cab is that I have reasonable expectations of companies like this. I know better than to put total faith in a random cab driver that is probably getting paid peanuts and hates his life. read more

My husband was dropping me off at work at 9:50 am this morning near Lincoln Square, on NE 6th St just east of Bellevue Way NE. Your taxi driver #595 Washington tag #BGH7224 driving a green Toyota Prius lunged backward in apparent road rage and nearly hit our car as I was trying to exit to the curb and did not stop as my husband honked the horn. I filed a report of this incident with the Bellevue police department non emergency line. If I see this driver again in this location, I will call 911. I think this may be one of the worst taxi company's , If not the worst. We hailed a taxi from the light rail to our hotel and the cab driver got lost. We were using our phones GPS to direct him to our destination. We tried to give it a second shot, we called for a cab to pick us up from a wedding in Issaquah. We were told 30 min for the cab driver to pick us up the driver took an hour instead. Donna the dispatcher was somewhat helpful, but her hands were tied, I guess. When he finally arrived we had to put the address of the hotel into the GPS. His excuse was, "this place was hard to find." Scary. Next time I will just rent a car. read more

I reserved a taxi using their online form and got a confirmation email. I then called the next day requesting that they pick me up at a different time. They couldn't find my online reservation but were happy to take a reservation over the phone. When my taxi didn't show up, I called them again and was told that they again couldn't find my taxi request and that they can only pick up passengers from the airport. That information, if true, isn't anywhere I can easily find on their website, and it also doesn't make sense given they took all my information over the phone when they couldn't find the online reservation. They had me call a different taxi company instead. Completely incompetent. read more

They dropped us off at a location to go hiking, and then said they couldn't find us when the time came to pick us back up. It was about a mile from the safeway in NewCastle, there was an address, and a cross street. They left us in the cold, freezing rain for an hour and a half, and eventually just said they couldn't find us. We called another company, and 15 minutes later, they were right there. The person on the phone was so efficient that I wondered if he got my reservation in his system correctly - very different (in a good way) than the conversations I had with 2 other cab companies where I had to repeat everything at least 3 times. Our driver was On time and friendly. The car was clean, even if it smelled a little - it might just be the cleaning solution or air refresher that didn't agreed with me. I took a Green Cab Taxi from the Colman Dock Ferry to SeaTac Airport. The driver was reckless, pulling an illegal u turn at the ferry terminal almost causing a wreck. Throughout the trip he continually cut in and out of traffic while speeding 74 mph in a 60 and 54mph in a 40, those being the ones I remember. I felt very unsafe as this was rush hour. The vehicle was dirty and smelled bad. Upon arrival, he made no attempt to get me close to the airline I was flying and just said, "sorry 'bout that". I will avoid Green Cabs in the future. I called 3 days in advance to book a Green Cab to the airport and confirmed the morning of with assurances that their cab would be on-time. I called 5 minutes after the cabbie was supposed to show up with assurances he was 'in the neighborhood' and would arrive shortly. After 20 minutes, the Green Cab dispatcher admitted the cabbie was 'lost', so I had to scramble to catch another ride to the airport. 40 minutes after our scheduled pick-up time, the cabbie called to say he arrived. I would never use this cab company. I called hours ahead of time to get picked up at 9:30am to get taken to the airport. 9:30 am came around and no one showed up so I called the dispatcher to see what was going on and she said that the driver was on his way. 9:45 am rolls around and still no driver so I call the dispatcher again and she tells me she is going to call the driver to see where he is at. She calls me back and says the driver had a flat tire and that he would be there in five minutes. By 10 am I can't wait any longer and have to drive myself to the airport. I had to have my car at the airport parking lot for TWO weeks and had to pay $316 dollars. I spoke with the general manager throughout the 2 weeks and when I got back and she was unwilling to help in anyway except to give me a useless free ride somewhere. I was not personally in the cab but I did see a green cab #586 driving on the freeway one Friday morning and he was a HORRIBLE driver. Naturally there was traffic but he was doing illegal maneuvers to just get a couple cars ahead. He didnt have a fare so I didnt understand his hurry and the need to piss off all the other drivers that came in sight of him. He would cut off people to swerve into every oncoming ramp onto the freeway and ride out the ramp until he was driving in the shoulder to get by a few more people. It was rude and obviously pissed off more than just me. Because of this, I will NEVER use green cab for a fare. read more
