GREEN CAB #1026 At the Seattle Ferry pick up area, I was told the fare would be a flat $50 to the airport. However, when we reached the Delta drop-off area, he claimed it was $55 due to high gas prices and refused to honor the earlier $50. When I handed him my card to pay, he pulled his hand away and said paying with cash is quicker. Then, with frustration, he questioned me about not having cash three times before running my card. For some reason, he then tapped the scanner after removing it from his phone and told me it had my information. While getting my luggage, he mentioned something about being Christian and wouldn't be dishonest. The vehicle had such a strong odor that he left a couple of the windows slightly open for the entire trip. I will refuse to use another taxis in Seattle and plan to stick with Uber. read more

Unsafe, scary, and unprofessional drivers. I was berated and verbally abused by a driver who hit my car making an illegal left turn onto the main road. When I rolled down my window to let him know that he had hit my car and to pull over into the next lot, he yelled at me to "MOVE" and to "GO" and called me a b**ch, among other profanities, denied wrongdoing after I finally got him to pull over, and then proceeded to threaten me when I showed him I had evidence. I made my exit pretty quickly after taking some more pictures and video as I was alone. He cursed at me the whole time. I called Yellow Cab to report the accident and to let the regional manager know that I would be following up with possible legal action as the driver refused to provide me with his information and made threats against me. He tried to gas light me by saying they didn't know the truth as it is a "he said, she said" situation, even though I had photo proof of the car accident and videos of the driver yelling at me. I merely wanted to make sure it was well documented in case this driver had a record of intimidating and abusing women. The manager then said Yellow Cab doesn't claim responsibility for incidents like these since drivers are contractors and they own their own car and buy their own insurance. He unsympathetically offered to give my personal info to the driver (very safe and assuring) and said there was nothing more he could do and hung up on me. I decided the damage, thankfully mostly minimal, wasn't worth getting in contact with a weirdo or being yelled at again. I just wanted to warn you all. read more

I have used Yellow cab four times; two rides were acceptable; the other two were abominable. On the bad rides, both drivers scammed me by (1) taking long, LONG routes, (2) one cancelled the ride forcing me to pay outside of the app with the amount he charged being 250% more than the app showed, (3) both drivers had extremely limited English language skills and unintelligible accents. One of my very rare three-star reviews. Not horrible service, and actually all my drivers have been very nice and generally prompt. No problems when I didn't have my car. However, their prices have jumped to a $3.60 drop and $3.00 a mile, so for me, yesterday coming home from the body shop, a five-mile ride in traffic was $30.00 which included a $5.00 tip. Sure, it was worth it because I like the comfort of being in a car, not the stagecoach bumpity-bump oh, you, chitty-chitty bang bang bump the bus offers, even for my discounted rate of $1.00. Seattle Yellow cab has terrible reviews for a good reason. My daughter picked up one from SeaTac to my home in South Sammamish last week. The driver's car did not have a meter. It was a 2015 Toyota Sienna with a handicap ramp. This ride usually costs around $70.00. My daughter was charged $120.00 plus tip. The driver was on the phone the entire ride. This driver clearly ripped off my daughter. I contacted the company right away and for a week later with no helpful response. Do Not Use this Company!!! read more

Dawit was great! He was our driver on the way to the restaurant (They have a wheelchair service van and he was super helpful and polite!) However if you need a later return ride after 7pm BEWARE, after Dawit was off work we waited for 2 hours and ended up having to get an Uber after sitting in the freezing cold for a no show. We kept calling but they kept telling us it would be another hour! They should have told us the truth and just said they weren't coming. Nobody available to drive the van I guess??. We'll never know. But when I asked about the meter, he said it was a flat rate. I pushed back on that, and he switched to the meter but was really rude about it. The only delay was traffic inside the airport, over which the driver had no control. And even with a generous tip, the whole thing cost me 20 bucks less than the price Uber quoted!!! There are a lot of bad reviews here, but I recently was injured and unable to drive, so I took a Yellow Cab to the ER and home again. Both rides were prompt, the drivers courteous, and the cabs clean. I could see the meter clearly from my seat in the back. I would always rather take a taxi than a rideshare, because taxi drivers are screen and have to pass a test to get a licensed, whereas anyone can drive a rideshare. Driver dropped us at airport and left in a rush without giving us everything from the trunk. Called dispatch multiple times and was denied by the driver. App showed no information of the vehicle and driver contact, which now feels very unsafe and doesn't leave any traces for customers for after-care if incidents happened. We cannot contact driver directly and was told by dispatch center that driver said there's nothing in the trunk. That was purely lying because driver does not want to come back even after 5 mins of drop off - maybe off for the next ride and don't want to bother to come back. But how am I going to trust someone to pick me up to the airport knowing my home will be an empty house? We actually immediately called when taxi pulled away, but took 5 minutes for dispatch to make contact with the driver. We even offered tips and still got a cold answer. The company is incapable of resolving such issues and incompetent to manage their drivers. Will ban the taxi services despite the lower price than Uber/Lyft. TERRIBLE. read more

Took a taxi to the university district back and forth from the airport instead of renting a car and throwing myself on those freeways. There was some confusion at the airport, 2 people calling me not knowing of each other, no clear indication of where they expected me to wait, so I ended up waiting 20mn after running back and forth from the parking garage. Sigh. Then the driver spent 15mn talking on the phone while driving, hands on. The app has no way to communicate with the service or better the driver directly (you only get the company number when the driver calls you) so that definitely needs improvement. But the trip back was very smooth, that driver very nice, and all that for about half the money of another car service. Definitely check it out. read more

We used Seattle Yellow Cab from Pier 66 in Seattle to take us to the airport. We paid cash. Unfortunately, we left a bag with a jewelry case in it inside the taxi. Less than 30 minutes after being dropped off, we contacted the company. They have been useless and not forthcoming of name of the driver. The driver didn't even declare the trip with the company and kept the jewelry. Clearly, Yellow Taxi's management knows they have a serious problem. As a last result, we had to submit a Police Report, Consumer Protection Report, notify the Washington State Attorney General of the tax fraud by Yellow Cab Drivers, and pursue retaining a private investigator. If you make the mistake of taking a Seattle Yellow Cab, take a photo of the taxi license plate, a photo of the driver, and pay with a credit card. read more

Terrible experience with Yellow Cab today! After they accepted my booking, the tracker said that the cab would be there in 4 minutes. 30 minutes later, still no cab. Finally it started to move on their tracking map - it drove to a location about three blocks away and stopped. I waited another ten minutes, then decided to walk to the location shown. I carried all my luggage to the taxi stand where they had stopped, and my cab was there. As I ran up waving my arms, they decided to cancel my booking and drive away. Have missed several medical appointments due to Seattle Yellow Cab. My dad is wheelchair bound, has several weekly medical appointments, so we were using Seattle Yellow Cab. A few drivers were pleasant, but most of them were rude. Completely unreliable service. We have missed two appointments due to SYC showing up too late to make the appointment, or them outright just not showing up. They use the tired old excuse, "we couldn't get anyone in your area to pick up". Mind you we make a reservation for all pick ups- day before. Making a reservations then means nothing. Medical appointments are difficult to schedule and we get charged for no-show. We are done with SYC- there are other options. If you like unreliable, mostly rude, transportation- Seattle Yellow Cab is for you. read more

A friend of mine was murdered by a cab driver, so taking cabs are an issue, however, sometimes there is no other way. I do not believe in Uber and Lyft for safety reasons I use cabs because they are traceable for the police. The last time I used this cab company was over 3 years ago. Back then I called every ten minutes to make sure the cab was on the way, as previous trips they would cancel and not tell you, or say you were not there when you are. 3 years had passed and I thought they would care more because Lyft and Uber have been edging out their business but no. No they do not care. This time around I called and was told it would be 45 minutes. At the 40 minute mark I called to make sure it was on it's way. I was told I cancelled it. Obviously nothing had changed, I said so and booked another one, that I waited 20 more minutes for, and I had to return to calling every ten minutes. This cab company is always, always late, more than half the time will cancel without telling you and you have to continually call to find out where your cab is. On top of that if you are local and know your way around they argue with you about the route and usually the driver has only been in the city less than 2 years. They send text messages without consent and are generally rude. Poor customer service. I will be using Town Car from now on. read more

My brother lives in Federal WA . His siblings live in eastern WA and out of state. Unbeknownst to any of us , my brother was in so much pain on Easter Sunday he called a cab to take him to Urgent Care. My brother is 80 years old and was recently discharged from 100 days in Rehab for a fractured ankle. He was overcharged and the Cab driver insisted he pay in cash. My brother was too sick to argue. I called to get a ride home after my husband ended up in the Emergency Department with a broken wrist, and he couldn't drive back home after being sedated. Our driver refused to come get us because he said it was not worth it since he was in Bellevue 25 minutes away, and we didn't need to go that far just down the street about a 7 minute drive. I had two bad experiences with this company. This first was being picked up from an appointment. The driver saw me standing at the curb with my cane and service dog, pulled over then drove forward about 10 spaces. I suspect he was considering driving off without me. He looked at me again in his rear view mirror. Then he pulled over to the other side of the road, forcing me to cross the street. He was extremely rude when I got into the cab. Included photo is the rude driver. The second was the next day. I had been assured, weeks previously, that they could accommodate my wheelchair to the airport. I asked if an advanced reservation was required to make sure a vehicle was available. I was specifically told no, they do not accept advanced reservations. I was instructed to call 15 minutes before my ride to request a cab. When I called I was told a cab was on the way. No one showed up. I called dispatch and was told they were trying to locate a driver that could handle a wheelchair accessible vehicle. I continued to call every 15 minutes, telling them I was going to miss my flight. At the same time I was calling other cab companies and looking for an alternative ride. I was finally able to find an Uber driver who was able to fit my wheelchair in the back of their SUV. I barely made it to the gate in time. This is a horrible company and they will never get another dime from me. read more

Last time when they did show up it was 45 dollars for 7 miles, this time after over 4 hours waiting I signed up for Uber and had a car in 10 minutes and the ride was 23 dollars, half what yellow cab charged if you can actually get them to show up. I needed a ride from a downtown Seattle hotel to SeaTac but ubers were running expensive. The front desk called me a cab and told me it was a flat rate of $40. The ride was fine. The driver was fine. However the fare was actually $45.40, not $40. Also, the driver wanted to drop me off at Arrivals instead of Departures and I told him absolutely not. He said it would be faster and I just needed to take an escalator or elevator down. I know he just wanted to make it easier for himself, so I told him I'm in no rush and it was raining and I want to be dropped off in Departures. I gave him $50 cash. I will never take a yellow cab again to SeaTac unless Driver confirms it's only $40, no add-ons, and I have cash (wouldn't trust them with my cc) and that I will be driven to my airline in Departures. read more
