I was never satisfied with their quality of service. Therefore, when I had a relatively complicated issue to resolve in April 2023, I decided to try the Greenwich office for a change. I was not disappointed. I was met in the lobby by Lecia Lupoli, Client Service Specialist. I explained what assistance I needed, which was to reverse a 2022 Roth IRA contribution, open a Traditional IRA, and transfer the 2022 contribution from the Roth to the Traditional IRA. All to be completed before the tax filing deadline of 04/18 (I visited Schwab on 04/07). Lecia spent the next hour working only with me to complete each of the several steps necessary to resolve the situation, until all of the necessary steps were completed. I was given a hard copy of the paperwork, and received a text confirming that Schwab was actively working to make sure the transaction was completed and settled in a timely manner. Her very simple estate was all "transfer on death" (so, not in probate) except for one account. These vultures used free court records to find her name and the names of all family members listed as alternate executors, and have been sending all of us scam letters since her death, claiming that my mother's estate is "currently tied up in probate court" and that we are all heirs (if we just pay Advance Probate via "flexible funding options.") Absolute crap. The estate was settled years ago. None of these family members (except me and my sibling) were heirs. I had to explain this to my elderly aunt and a cousin, who received these scam letters. Absolutely mortifying. Also, the letters say that "Advance Probate" is a "BBB A+ Rated Accredited Business." The Better Business Bureau says it is not. And you might notice, there's no address listed on the letters. Just a phone #. Stay away. Don't get scammed.
