I have seen and been to many Electric Scooter Stores...in the last 2 yrs they have sprouted up everywhere. I have also seen many close also because they didn't offer a good quality Electric Scooter or service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and educated fully about Electric Bikes - much better than I received elsewhere. Turns out Green Choice Moto is the only store in Toronto that rents E-Bikes. A great way to get a feel for them. I researched the quality of the bikes and know that these bikes are the highest quality from the best manufacture...and the best price....which is what "George" , the owner, told me when I was there also. - He loves to just see people driving them...and going GREEN :) They offer a 1 yr warranty and provide full service repairs if needed and store your bike in the winter if you like in the shop. I was very disappointed by the service I received at Green Choice Moto. Upon walking into the store, before I'd so much as looked at any eBikes, a man named Giovanni immediately glued himself to my side. Unable to shake him, I told him what I wanted in an eBike - something on the smaller side - and he promptly showed me the biggest scooter-style eBikes in the shop. I politely pointed out the smaller ones I was more interested in and he told me they were "too sleek" for me. What? He went on to tell me how I could use these massive scooters to "go to the beach with your girlfriends", showed me where I could hang my bag, and pointed out every little feature that was "big and protective" for the fragile, ignorant little female he seemed to assume I was despite the fact I told him I'd done my research and pointed out again the ones I was interested in. Once he finally seemed to understand he wasn't going to upsell me to a larger scooter, he finally showed me a smaller eScooter. It was filthy, scratched, and in a colour that was not to my taste. I expressed these concerns, and he said he would knock another hundred off the price, which was already discounted by 20%, but that I would have to by it immediately. To further sweeten the so-called deal, he offered to toss in the helmet, modify the pedals, yada yada yada. He also did not seem to know about appropriate eBike maintenance as "it'll be fine". Finally another associate, told me what had happened to the bike - apparently another customer had tried to cram it into an elevator. She continued to hover anxiously, telling me they could cut me a deal, and that I'd have to come right back tomorrow. I hate this pressure-sell tactic to begin with, but with all the so-called deals they were trying to cut me and the way they constantly hovered and threw in freebies, I realized they really wanted to get rid of this bike. Needless to say I did not return to purchase the bike, despite the oh-so-tempting instructions to text Giovanni if I was coming in so he could tell me whether or not HE would be showing up. TLDR; Giovanni ignored my preferences, tried to sell me what appeared to be a damaged eBike they wanted to get rid of, which he didn't know anything about, and by all the "deals" they wanted to cut me, was not worth the relatively low price of $650. Bought a bike from here and things were great. Then my battery started melting. My bike started smelling funny when I was riding around and that's when I noticed the plastic housing around the battery fuse had melted. I brought it to the shop to get fixed. They didn't open on time. Waited for them for an hour in the rain. They showed up and they said the fuse was disconnected. This didn't sound right for a couple of reasons. First, if a fuse was "disconnected" the battery shouldn't be able to work at all. Secondly, how does a fuse get disconnected? Shouldn't a vital safety feature of batteries be virtually impossible to disconnect? Nonetheless, since it was under warranty I left it with the store. The guy said he had "a cold" and couldn't fix it right then and there. Came back three hours later when he said it was ready and asked how it was a battery could start to melt and if that was a safety hazard. Owner said I didn't understand what fuses were for and kicked me out of the store. I was pissed. Got home and opened the battery myself. You know how they "fixed" the fuse problem? They REMOVED THE FUSE from the circuit. These geniuses decided if a faulty safety feature was a problem, they'd just eliminate the safety feature without telling me and hide it inside the battery casing. Not only that but there were several abraded wires running between the battery cells, with bare metal exposed contacting the battery housing. What probably happened was the exposed wires were melting the casing of the battery, not the fuse. They didn't fix it, but instead disabled a safety feature that I'm pretty sure is required by law. That's probably why he didn't want to fix it in front of me. Didn't want me to see him snipping the wires off the fuse. These guys seem nice when you're looking to buy a bike, but really they're interested only in getting your money even if it means your battery will melt under your ass. Buyer beware indeed. worst experience of my life! The first time I went they rented to my friend with his health card because he didnt have a lisence. Our ebike broke down and they never picked us up; we had to drag that friggin thing back to the shop. Yesterday I went back to the shop hoping to rent again thinking i'l give this place another chance. They refused to accept my friends health card (even though they did last time) telling us that the store has lost a cpl bikes so they have to be careful. (Basically assuming me and my friend are thiefs because im heavily tattooed) . He said he would rent to us if we left a $600 deposit.. Im thinking we will never see that money again when we come back, because the guy himself working there looked slimey. The ebike itself isnt even worth $ 600 lol The front store sign even says $10 an hour and they wanted $600 from us?!? Sounds fishy to me...He prolly charges his family members and people from his ethnical backround good prices lol The place overall is a fail. I would not reccomend it at all. If I could give these guys negative stars I would. Thy seem like great guys until you have a problem with your bike and you ask them to fix it. I was told I would need to pay for my bike just to be looked at, then charged crazy rates on things that should've been covered under warranty After having the bike fixed, 2 weeks later the same problem occurred, so I brought it back thinking they would try again. They proceeded to yell and SWEAR at me! Trying to make me pay to have it repaired AGAIN. I have never been treated so unprofessionally in all my life (And Ive spoken to others who have had the same experience.) DO NOT GO HERE. Seriously. Very disappointed with your shop on Danforth. Gave you 2 stars yesterday, but since you DELETED MY BAD REVIEW OF YOUR CRAPPY WORK, today you get 1 star. Bike was brought in for brake cable replacement and tune up and cleaning on Friday. Owner lady/ receptionist said that if they found any problems other than brake cables SHE WOULD CALL me to get approved. She knew I was going out of town. Picked up bike today. Brake cables not replaced. Instead....she went ahead and authorized the replacement of my brake assembly.....without my approval. Rear view mirrors were put back on bike backwards...now I can't see behind me and have to take them off and switch them back the way they were. Bike was not cleaned. Handfuls of dirt came off the chassis. Tire pressure was not checked. Tires not given air. Tail light was not replaced AS requested. Ignition dial was not reattached as requested. Chain not oiled or tightened. Bike not charged....low battery. Lady who works there says I should have called her to confirm work requests were received? Huh? Not sure what level of customer service you were hoping for....but this isn't it. Left $70 to pay for WHAT I AGREED TO.....not paying for repairs not done tune up not done cleaning not done and this location has seen my ebike for the first and last time ....will never bring it there again Did you really think I was going to pay over $200 for repairs I did not authorize OR repairs not done Think again...lady who works there is clueless. I bought an ebike from Green Choice Moto in December 2012.. 6 months after my fiancee bought one from the same p!ace.. He got a 2 year warranty on his battery that came with purchase.. I also received same warranty on battery when I bought mine.. However, 8 months later when we bother started smelling smoke from each of our batteries, we took ebike in to be repaired as per our bill stated 2 yrs warranty on battery. We spent about $2000, for both ebike and when we took ebike into Green Choice Moto to be fixed, we got the biggest run around.. The owner was rude, but told us to come back in 3 hrs, which we did. When we returned back to pick up our ebikes, we realized the owner didn't want to repair anything.. I was not ever rude back to him, but because he had friends and employees in his shop, he got quite flippant with us. When owner started getting rude and vulgar to us, we realized we wouldn't get our ebike repaired under their valid warranty. A few months later, we tried again to get our ebikes repaired under the warranty, and were told the 2 year warranty on batteries have now need reduced to 1 year warranty, and they would not fix our ebike even though it states in our bill 2 yr warranty on batteries.. This green choice moto is a big ripp off !! Buyer beware !! They are very friendly when you are buying an ebike from Green Choice moto because they want your money.. But trying to get them to live up to their warranty is like pulling meteors from far space.. IMPOSSIBLE !! Now less than 2 years after I bought my ebike, I need to purchase a new battery, and in no way will we ever buy anything from Green Choice Moto because they don't live up to their warranties, and the owner himself is a rude ignorant money grubbing thief. Stay AWAY! If I could give 0 stars that would still be too high of a rating from this place and it's band of misfits. The absolute incompetence at this location is astounding!! After the sale was completed each and every other interaction with this place has been a horrible experience. From my helmet being stolen while with them AND labeled, random price increases for services after they've been completed, 3 hour wait times for simple fixes (told I didn't tell them I had other plans so waiting wasnt their fault even though the bike was said to be "ready") and to the latest having my entire front plate fall OFF mid ride two days after having my light bulb 'fixed.' Each and every time I had to return I was given excuses and the best yet was them trying to convince me that I had broken a part of my scooter that was intact when I dropped it off! Another simple "20 min repair" which required them taking two days to fix, which then fell off mid ride. I could've been hit by a car when I skidded off my scooter and ran over my own headlight. Of course instead of apologies I received excuses on why it was my fault even after I'd tried twice to inform the Manager that I was told by the receptionist (owners wife) that more work needed to be done. Instead the head moron tells me the work is completely done and I can take it. They're lucky this isn't the US because there was ample room for a law suit (I have pictures) given I was riding on a main road at the time. Save yourself the headaches because this place is a hot mess and has the worst customer service you can ever imagine. My wife and I went in to see what type of scooters that they had and we were thinking about renting a couple scooters. Before we were even shown any bikes the guy in the store asked for payment and that the scooters were outside ready. I was standing there dumbfounded and said we just want to look at a few scooters and we might rent. The guy got all frustrated and explained how they got the bikes ready, I explained that I didn't say we were renting all we wanting was more info on your rentals. Anyways I said pressure tactics don't work on me and I walked out, and outside I see my wife looking at the scooters, she whispered you didn't rent theses pieces of garbage did you. The bikes were all broken and in horrible condition. I explained what happened inside and told her lets get out of here. 100% shady If you don't believe me just walk in and see for yourself. read more

Bad service, and knowledge, these scooters are cheap junk made in Asia, you get what you pay for. They leave them outside in all weather, even in the coldest winter months, so you don't know if the one you buy is "weather beaten" or new. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! My Amego ebike broke down so I called Green Choice Moto earlier that day and spoke to the owner who was very pleasant on the phone. I told him what kind of ebike I have, what occurred before my bike stopped working. He was very knowledgeable and told me his mechanic John will be there when I bring it in after work. I pedaled and walked ebike for 45mins to get there. In front of the store, I noticed 3-4 'biker dudes' including a woman, hanging outside smoking. One guy was even sitting on the ground by the entrance. They were all dressed in leather, beards, tattoos, you name it. And as a woman, I felt a little intimated. When I stopped, one of the guys yells out "Hey, what's wrong with your bike?!" Then 'biker woman' approaches me and asks the same thing. I was confused whether these people worked there. I explained to her I had called earlier and spoke to the owner about my ebike and she proceeded to say he wasn't here. I told her if there was a John I could speak to and she said he's at the back and to tell her what's wrong with the bike so she can tell him. I found her to be rather rude, but explained to her anyway about my ebike. Then another 'biker dude' asks me the same question and for the 2nd time I explained what went wrong. John finally comes out and asks me AGAIN what's wrong with my ebike. Meanwhile 'biker dude' starts inspecting my ebike, turning the throttle then says "I know what's wrong it". I said, "Oh yeah? What is it?" He sarcastically says "First of all, it's an AMEGO!". Then says "Your sensor is busted and we dont' fix Amegos". I told him the owner never said anything to me about not fixing Amegos. 'Biker dude' and John starts arguing why they don't fix Amegos and not having parts and how I should just take it to Emmo store around the corner. I didn't say anything and just left there like a bat out of hell. What a bunch rude ignorant clowns! I have no idea if these 'biker dudes' work there but if they do, why would you insult a potential customer by making fun of their ebike?? If they don't fix Amego bikes then I should have been told and I wouldn't have had to drag by ebike there! Terrible place! read more

I checked out a few dealers for quite awhile not knowing what I really wanted. Had my eye on some pretty little bike from around the corner from Green Choice Moto and then happened upon this place by chance. I decided to go in and see what they had. Needless to say I left there, then came back a short time later and bought an ebike. The price was absolutely reasonable! Cheaper than anywhere else that I had seen. I was able to test ride several bikes and always with careful instructions from George the owner before taking off. George was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, patient and an upstanding man of incredibly integrity. How often can you say that about a business owner. I have seen not only him but the staff refuse to sell a bike with their name on it to someone they felt had dubious intent and planned to alter the bike. My decision to buy was based not only the knowledge that he possessed but his attention to customer care and attitude. I have been back many times on what seemed to be such petty issues and they resolved it without delay and hesitation not just for me but for all their customers. I have a lot of people ask about my bike and I will, without hesitation offer a card and my stamp of approval as a loyal customer. I always get a "ride safe" or "ride careful" from them before I leave and to you looking to buy I say "buy safe" and "buy careful". Go by and check it out for yourself, I guarantee you'll agree this is the best place to buy your bike. read more

Terrible service, not knowledgeable at all, the people who work there seem like they are street people. There's always large groups of strange misfits hanging around outside on the sidewalk, spitting, smoking and swearing and smoking pot . Honestly, I've never seen employees who look and behave like this, it's quite astounding. If you want your ebike worked on by people like this, go ahead. Products are cheap made in China plastic garbage and they don't know anything about servicing these "scooters", be warned....do you really want a guy who's high working on your brakes? I bought an Ebike from this place this summer which is the worst decision I ever made in my life!!! They told me their bike could make 60kms distance and 40kms distance is my daily usage. The first day I tried to use my bike to go to work, battery dead after 15km and I had to push my bike to my work place. Brought my bike back to the store, they ask me to leave the bike for repair. After 5 days, I finally got my bike back and exactly same thing happened. This time, I was lucky, there's another ebike store close by. I told them what happened on my bike and they opened my battery case to check the battery for me. We found there's date on those batteries "2010 06 22" !!! I was so pissed!!! I took my bike back to the Green Choice next day and questioning about the battery they put in my bike. They told me that "as long as other ebike store touch the bike, no matter what, you don't have warranty any more! " There was another pissed customer there try to get some job done on her bike and seem had a hard time with their " WARRANTY POLICY " The store owner was so nice before I made my purchase and totally became a different person when customer has issue with their product. I've tried countless times now to give these guys my business... After buying a bike from Green Choice Moto, I've had my seat-lock break, my fenders, body and some internal pieces crack apart, the bike has refused to turn on a few times forcing me to leave it and come back the next day and the stand that held the bike up bent under the bike's own weight causing it to fall over a few times and just mess everything up even more... I've brought it to their shop a bunch of times for service including to fix the stand and I'm almost positive they just tried to wrench it back into place and cover it with some solder and epoxy (instead of properly welding it) because the stand broke again right away under no force. I weigh like 125 lbs and have treated the bike well but the sad fact is it was very badly made and Green Choice Moto wont stand behind their products. I'm not even going to bother wasting more of my money there trying to get the bike fixed, I've already spent about $200 in repairs within 5 months of buying this bike.
