If you value your time and money, please do not come here. I'm writing this post, because I genuinely want everyone to save their time and not have to experience the poor service here. 1. Extremely short staffed. - Staff is overwhelmed by the number of customers. There is consistently customers standing around waiting 30 plus minutes to get helped. Worst offender is the helmet section. You are not allowed to try on helmets without staff supervision, but the staff is never available to help... 2. Poor knowledge about their products. - When you ask the staff questions regarding gear, like gear armor rating, helmet certification, glove material, etc. They will go to their computer and read off their website for you. Unfortunately, I already read the info on their website and know the information is lacking there, which is why I asked them in the first place... 3. Severe lack of inventory and premium prices. - Nothing wrong with charging 10-15% higher prices compared to web based dealers, I will pay for the convenience and access to a large showroom and see gear in person. Oh wait, nothing is in stock! If you did some research, you'll come to realize that what they have plenty in stock is sub-par rated gear and still cost a premium. I understand if there isn't much gear stores around the area. If you must come here, be sure to bring a knowledgeable buddy to make sure you don't get trash at a premium. I ended up measuring myself with a soft tape and got my gear from websites. Fantastic service and easy return and exchange for size. read more

GP Bikes was since forever one of my 2 go-to stores for motorcycle gear. I Decided to give them a shot headed East and bought a new bike. Given that their contract says they have 90 days to build and deliver the new bike or give you your money back (not including the damage claim which would surely follow) As a condition of sale I was verbally promised the bike in 1 week within the terms and conditions of the contract. While the sales-person was knowledgeable and responsive it appears their customer service is based upon the premise of "look surprised...show concern...do nothing". While my bike was delivered 3 weeks later I suspect their business model in this regard is driven by the mere fact that their service department may be much more profitable servicing rather than assembling motorcycles. On the positive side...the actual delivery and assembly was excellent. Interestingly others on this forum have had a very similar experience. read more

I have been a custopmer of GP bikes for over 25 years and have always been treated fairly and respectfully. I placed an order 2 days ago for a Sena RC4 that had to be brought in. To my delight, my order arrived 1 day after being placed. Excellent service. Kudos to the order desk. read more

Feeling very frustrated!! Went to GP Bikes to service my 2018 Indian Roadmaster late April/2024 for a new rear tire and new TPMS (tire pressure monitor sensor). Today, June.13th/2024 I went to GP Bikes to have a new front tire and TPMS installed.(My 2nd time going to GP Bikes for service). First time there was for a rear tire change and a new tire pressure monitor sensor back in April/2024. Turns out that in order for the TPMS to work I would have to have a new sensor in the front tire and the rear tire so that they can communicate which each other through the computer program. Told this by the service department after my first appointment. So, I left the dealership without my TPMS not working as I only had my new rear tire and sensor changed out. I was not told this until after my tire was changed out and when I was ready to pay for my service. Very frustrating! 2nd time at GP Bikes today, June.13th/2024 I had a new rear tire and TPMS installed. I figured with the 2 new tires and sensors that they could link them and I would be good to go. WRONG!!! There computer program was not able to do this so now I have 2 new tire sensors and I am unable to get readings for my tire pressures through my ride command on my motorcycle. The technician working on my bike tried to find out what was going on by calling the Indian motorcycle department in the US. I paid approximately $500 plus labour to have them installed and they do not work. And the sad thing is the service department at GP Bikes has no path forward for me to rectify this issue. Sorry for the long rant but at the very least I should be re-imbursed for my parts I think. I am happy with my 2 new tires that they installed. No issues with them! I thought buying a bike was one of the most enjoyable thing I can do. Well, maybe, but not from this store. I was promised to have the bike ready within 10-14 days, guess what, its been 5 weeks and nothing yet. No help from the sales rep I was dealing with. They kept breaking their timelines and promises! Will NEVER deal with this store ever again!! I'm still waiting as I write this review!! Sales Rep only cares until you sign the Sale, but then never helps after. They have always stood behind everything I've purchased from them. Husband got some good deals. They seem to have alot of stock for men more then woman. Which doesnt appeal to me. I returned my riding jeans for smaller size. The 2 girls at the cash that could have helped me didnt even offer . Just told me return them to the parts guy at the back. Which angered me becuse i wanted to do a simple exchange . Asked guy if they can order darker colour he looked in catalogue and said no only 2 brands. Then he didnt hear me and put credit on account instead of exchange. Decided to stop buy last night and check out the products, I don't live nearby so it's a bit of a treat to get to a large moto shop in town. I was there for at least 30 minutes, even tried on some boots and checked out most of the bikes they had on the floor, etc. Just took it all in. There really wasn't many customers around, maybe 6 in the entire store. Felt like there were 3 times as many staff. Certainly a nice store full of shiny new toys. But here's the deal. Not 1 employee acknowledged me. Even when I was helping myself and trying product on. You should treat your customers better if you want to move all that nice gear! I will be headed to another Honda dealership tomorrow, hopefully they know how to be helpful to their customers. read more

My family and I had to wait a little longer then usual to get in . There staff was useless they had 1 person helping 6 people look at helmets you couldn't touch the helmets unless a staff member was with you , you had to wait to get into the helmet section waited was to long and didn't even get into see the helmets so right there they lost a sale also was looking for a leather jacket and and unless you wanted to pay $300 over regular prices jackets then this is the place for you . Literally went next door to royal distributing and could try on what ever you wanted and had some great sales . So ya that was the first and last time I goto GP bikes . I'm from Alberta and have had the pleasure of working with Alex through their online ordering service and through some phone calls. Not only have I gotten a full kit of gear for literally hundreds less than I would have been able to do locally. But free shipping on all of it, and the option to return for sizing is crazy. Had 2 situations that they have handled masterfully. One was a new shield I ordered for my Icon Variant. (Which I also purchased from them) The shield came with a small scratch on it, it wasn't in my vision so not a big deal, but wanted them to know so I sent a few pictures and an email to them. W/o even asking they offered a full return or an instore credit. I used that instore credit to purchase a pair of Joe Rocket Alter Ego pants. They put them on hold for me as I had a credit card issue. (Number was stolen, had to wait for new card) Once I got the card called in and ordered them. Noticed I hadn't gotten a shipping notification on the Wednesday when I'd payed for them the previous Thursday. Sent an email to Alex to ask if it was all good and he let me know that the pants had been placed in the wrong pile and not shipped. This could have been a big problem for me as I had a motorcycle trip coming up and really wanted to have these pants. Without me even asking they admitted the mistake, and put the pants on a purolator truck and I received them the day after!!! No extra charge to me. I do what I can to support local stores (Shout Out universal Cycle) But these guys do such a good job I am happy to use them. Closest thing to a Revzilla we have in Canada. I have to give a 5 stars for this store. I ordered a pair of TCX boots that I didn't really like and the return was done for exchange in such an efficient and professionnel way. I am sorry I don't know the girl that I talked to on the phone but she was great and organised the whole exchange. I am in the Montreal region and my new Alpinestar came in today by Purolator and I am very happy with the purchase. A great store, great branded products and specially exceptional customer service. I've been here 3 times and each time is a different problem, first was my bike was left not running with the screen on for an hour and my battery died riding on the highway, they sold me a 4-5 year old opened model of the helmet coms and tried telling me it was the new model, and finally I had a service done and they forgot to put my coolant cap back on the bike and I left on it and went home. I was told it would be brought to me the next day and it never was!!! Terrible service. read more

I've never received such relentlessly poor customer service from any motorcycle shop, online or in-store. I purchased a dual set of SENA 20S headsets at the motorcycle show in downtown Toronto in early 2015. A manufacturer's replacement on a production defect was supposed to take 2-3 weeks, but instead took 4 months. GP Bikes did not return any calls during this period. Fast forward another year and there's another manufacturer's warranty issue. I try to return via SENA, but they assure me that the easiest method is via GP Bikes. It took GP Bikes 21 days to send me a shipping label, only after several calls and emails. It has now been 74 days since I shipped the headsets to GP Bikes. They have not returned any calls or emails in this time. In total, GP Bikes has had my headsets for 7 of the past 14 months. They do not communicate. Their warranty department is unprofessional and unorganized. Don't waste your money at GP Bikes. read more

Customer service in Whitby is bad. I ordered a piece of apparel from them and its been almost a month I'm still waiting without a courtesy call. I went there to try out a bike and I was so pressured by the sales guy to purchase it WITHOUT A TEST DRIVE? What a joke. They also had a Asian guy listening in on my conversation with the moron sales guy. Its that deal that China has with the city of Oshawa. Just google it. GP Bikes is poorly run. On Saturday, the parking lot on Ajax is jammed with bikes. I hear they are building a mega facility in Whitby. Cool. Saw them at the Winter Motorcycle Show...their "booth" was one quarter of an entire Hall. They've got the goods. Drop by and browse. Nice. Of note, service is NOT at the same location. I did a drop-in service at GP Bikes for maintenance. I called in-advance to have them put in license plate bolt lights and they said they are booked solid for a week. But the kind gentleman said to come in early to get on the "drop-in" list. It is a list that they use when there is some down time to fix up bikes for people that don't have appointments. I arrived at 8:45 AM and got on the list at #6 (someone was there at 7:45 AM). The service person said that generally they only have time to do 3 maybe 4 bikes on the drop-in list MON-FRI. After going through the list half of the people had pre-booked appointments which brought me up to #3 on the list (most people are first timers in the early morning). I waited a bit, browsed the store, and then went to Subway to get lunch. At about 12:30 I walked back to GP Bikes and it was done! Four hour wait but a success! Better than a two week wait! The great thing too is they have free coffee and a waiting area. More importantly, I met another young driver who I hung out with the entire morning. Now we're going to arrange a group ride later this summer. Great experience, knowledgeable staff, and better yet - they went above my expectations! One minor point is that labour costs $100/hr which is more than I expected. But I'm glad it got done the correct way. read more

Initially there was mix up with the order but the customer service was solid in sorting out the issue and getting me exactly what i wanted. Just bought a motorcycle and went in to look for some riding jeans. I went up to the parts department to see if they had the pants in a certain size that wasn't displayed on the floor. I spoke with Tom who told me they didn't have that brand/size in stock. He referred me to another set of similar jeans and even gave me a 50% discount since the jeans were going on sale soon. I purchased a helmet from the spring show and was promised a delivery date of a week. I than realize they marked the wrong helmet on the order. 9 days go by and I call to inquire about the helmet and they didn't even order it from their supplier. In fact they had no idea of my order. I was lead here and there. It was the blind leading the blind. They couldn't even fix it; I requested a refund and its been 1 month and they can't get that straight either. Their customer service suck one worse than the other there. I think their requirement is for their staff to have an IQ of a squirrel to be able to work there . I wouldn't recommend anyone to order anything from them. read more
