Unfortunately, the communication never improved. I had to repeatedly follow up to get basic updates on when the installation would actually take place. The final straw was receiving a text message at 1:30 AM on a Friday saying the installation scheduled for that day would be pushed back another week. At that point, I informed him I was no longer comfortable moving forward and decided to hire another vendor, even though they were significantly more expensive. I clearly asked Matthew not to deposit the down payment check since we would not be proceeding with the project. Despite that request, the check was deposited anyway. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend working with this company.

I employed Yard Pros group - Matt Johnston after receiving numerous phone calls that he could…read morehandle some of my projects on a sub contractor basis. I employed him to execute a concrete patio install. During the process it was difficult to reach him or get answers for questions I had regarding the details. He promised he had it under control but after being told that his crews were showing up, they were always late or didn't show at all. He took money from me and then walked away from the job. He left me with numerous problems like broken irrigation lines, his crews tried to cover the leaks with rocks and chunks of concrete (see images). The forms were installed by amateurs and employees that clearly have no skills in this department. The forms were not installed "square" and he used 6" forms instead of 4" forms so additional materials were required. which was his upsell to me as to why this job was increasing in price. All of this was avoidable if they used 4" forms. Lack of experience and knowledge is where I would put this company. They still owe me MONEY! (He promised he would send it back to me which he has not)
