I've never had a bad experience here, but originally gave four stars cuz of price. I'm updating to five as I am very satisfied with the cost-to-quality equation. I'll reiterate what I said in my original post: Meadows Farms customer service is exactly the right balance of experts on hand to help without hovering / shadowing while I browse. I like having room to obsess about different planter combinations without feeling rushed. Taking home a new plant is always a bit exciting, and the employees encourage that feeling of happiness in my selection each time. I'll keep coming back and sending all my friends here, too.

Two of the trees showed failing limbs almost immediately. We brought photos to the Stafford store and were told to fertilize--no improvement. We were then told to "wait until next spring." This spring, the same two trees are still struggling. We returned with photos and even performed the "scratch test" they demanded. The staff agreed the trees were in trouble but told us we had to call HQ. After multiple calls, voicemails, and being bounced around departments, we were finally told someone might get back to us in 7-15 days. We paid more at Meadows Farms expecting professionalism and a real warranty. Instead, we got delays, dismissiveness, and a warranty process designed to wear customers down. If I had it to do again, I would have gone to Home Depot or Lowe's--there, you simply bring the receipt back within a year and get a replacement. No hassle, no runaround. Meadows Farms wasted my time, treated us poorly, and did not stand behind their product. I cannot recommend them.

Back in 2018, shortly after I moved to the U.S., my husband and I selected three healthy, pink crape myrtle trees at this garden. I personally took photos of each tree and paid a deposit to reserve them.However, when we returned at the agreed pickup time, all three trees had been replaced. Two of them appeared undernourished and in poor condition, and the third one was tall and thin -- completely different from the compact variety I had originally selected. None of them matched what I had chosen and paid for. When I presented the photos I had taken as proof, the owner was dismissive and admitted that he did not know how to say what had happened. Despite this, he still refused to refund my deposit. As someone who had just arrived in the U.S. at the time, this experience was extremely upsetting. Consequently, I had a tank full of water. I called Greenline and they sent a someone out in a mobile machine shop that would make anyone who appreciates tools drool. Less than half an hour later he was done and my tractor was back up and running. Only charged me $140, which included driving out to my place to work on it! There are several Kubota dealers in the area, but Greenline (John Deere) was recommended by my neighbor--another Kubota owner--and they came through with flying Orange! Awesome!

UPDATE 10/8/20 The contractor reached out to me and…read morevoluntarily refunded the cost of the delivery in order to offset the cost of paying someone to move the gravel. They kept their word and we were able to hire a private contractor to come in and spread the gravel. I was extremely disappointed initially but I have to be fair and update the review to accurately reflect their customer service efforts. In my opinion, that was above and beyond what was required but it was also very much appreciated. The refund was close to cover the additional costs so we didn't have to pay all of it out of pocket. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for materials. I would also advise that you put everything in writing together so that the vendor and customer both have a clear understanding of what is being provided. Props to them for handling this issue well. After being told that we would have the delivery of gravel for our driveway tailgate spread we agree to place the order with this company. This was promised as part of the purchase. The truck malfunctioned and the entire load of 6 yards of gravel was dumped at the entrance of our driveway making it impassible. I contacted John Moorman that day as well as attempted to call the office with no response - he was out of town at the time which I was aware of but expected someone to respond from the company. His email response said " And also why we don't offer tailgate spreading as a service nor do we charge for it." That is a blatant falsehood. The quote expressly said this was part of the service. When asked to have someone correct this I was told they don't have people to do that and while it's unfortunate and they feel bad there's nothing they will do. Not can do - will do. We now have to hire someone to move this as myself being disabled and my husband cannot possibly move a pile of 6 yards of gravel by hand. That will be out of pocket as our landlord will not pay for that since it was not agreed to. To deny the service promised is unacceptable. I will continue to share our experience in hopes of preventing another homeowner from getting taken advantage of.

I haven't had my mulch even for a year yet and I'm growing mushrooms everywhere! These mushrooms have killed all of my plants and trees. The mulch has not been treated, I called on a Friday and left a message for the manager named "Haynes" to call me back. A week goes by and still no call back. I went up to the establishment and spoke with him. He was extremely RUDE and said that mushrooms don't come from the mulch. I had three different landscape companies come out to my house, and they verified that it was bad mulch. I've lost thousands due to purchasing bad mulch.
