As a long term customer this place has gone way down hill. Went there on 1/21/26 for take out. horrendous service and food. The take out order was wrong and the chicken dish had under cooked chicken . staff not friendly and the restaurant was dirty. The owners just do not give a carp anymore. Idk what I expected when I try and order Asian food in upstate NY but I was pretty disappointed. The sauce on the noodles my friend got was pretty much straight up JIF peanut butter lathered everywhere. My chow mein noodles or whatever could have been frozen TV dinner. The order wasn't ready when I was told that it would be however it was delicious. The chicken lo mein had the perfect blend of protein and vegetables within the noodles without it being over saturated. The General Tso's was definitely a pleasure, not too spicy but not at all weak. Everything is legit here, order ahead of time for sure. They are busy if you walk in and do take out. Super authentic Chinese (make sure to order Lo Mein if you want americanized chow mein). Looking at the place I was skeptical but I gave it a try ordered my food and waited 45 minutes I was annoyed by then so I told the woman change to delivery paid and went home 20 minutes later my food was brought to me the smell had my mouth watering and sat to eat it OMG best Chinese take out ever so I give 5 stars because they do tell you an hour wait it's all made fresh and was worth the wait. i tried here before the fire and recently after the remodel, which looks very nice done. i got the shrimp and broccoli with white rice and a small wonton soup. the shrimp was well cooked and not rubbery and the broccoli was tender and not soggy. the sauce was standard, but always a fave. the white rice was steamed nicely and no hard or underdone grains. the soup had three very large wontons and they were packed with favor. the cashier was very polite and served me my take out very quickly before i even sat to wait to walk back to my place in town. nice to have great food within walking distance read more

Our first time trying the New Green Jade! We love Szechuan wontons, and they are so hard to find, so we decided to give it a try...they were definitely good. I had the steamed chicken n veg with brown sauce (asked for it spicy) and it might have been the best brown sauce I've ever eaten. Then you'll over pay for food that is half the price at other establishments in the area. After that, you'll be given a long wait time for your food, even if you order ahead. I completely agree with masked yelper on this ... Easily the best in walden and will be again. Very fresh ingredients and I have never had to wait long at all... I'm picky with Chinese and they have no problem making exactly what my crazy appetite asks for ... The kids are very nice so who cares if they are running around?? I was sad when this restaurant burnt down last year. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they had reopened. Let me tell you the food is amazing! Well. Didn't really eat there. Called in for a take out order. I asked for Moo Goo Gai with pineapple added. They told me they don't do that dish. I responded I knew they must have pineapple since other dishes call for it. They answered they do but won't add it to Moo Goo. Very inflexible. I replied nearly every other Chinese Restaurant is happy to add it. What's the big deal? I'd be happy to pay extra. No was their reply. Everyone's tastes are different. This place has been in the neighborhood for many years, but I ordered their food for the first time today. I think it is mostly a takeout place since they only have 3 tables. It was about 80 degrees outside today, and it was about 120 degrees inside the restaurant. I would never eat in unless I wanted to get a heat stroke. The staff was VERY polite and kind. If you like restaurants to be clean, this place gets a 100% rating. I have NEVER seen such a clean restaurant in my entire life. The small dining room was completely spotless. The kitchen area was visible from the front counter, and it was perfectly clean and amazingly spotless also. That's very good. Okay, that's VERY, VERY good. Everyone else in my family loved the food. I thought mine was way too salty. They said it was the best Chinese food they ever had (although salty). I thought it was the worst Chinese food I ever had for the same reason. I thought my vegetables tasted like they were cooked in a salt mine. Maybe I will order again, and ask for a a few less pounds of salt and msg. I know my family will order from here again. I may when I visit, if I have to and have no other options. I can eat my salt shaker at home, but hope I won't have to. In addition, I received no packets of soy sauce, duck sauce, mustard, etc. This is the first Chinese restaurant i have ever ordered from that didn't include any condiment at all. I don't believe the fortunes in cookies either, but have come to expect them. If you like getting them, forget about that too because you won't get any. Since Green Jade has reopened, I've ordered twice in the last two weeks. Both times I got the Sesame Chicken Combo. The first time, every single piece of chicken was hard and grizzly. The next time, both my daughter and I ordered the Sesame Chicken Combo. All of the pieces in both meals were thinly sliced fat. Not a single piece of meat.
