It seemed like a group of their friends had come over later in the night and the employees allowed them to repeatedly break rules all while simply just walking around and leaving another person to do the work themselves (creating bigger lines and groups of people in the way). When we were finally off a ride, they closed off the entrance but let other people inside. If we created any problems, nobody communicated that with us which is very sad because even us younger people recognized the unfair treatment and correct way to approach it. We didn't talk loudly like other people in front of us who were older and yelling to each other, we didn't do things unsafely, and we didn't bother the employees from the start. We stopped jumping for a few seconds when we got in and an employee already came, told us to leave, and then bumped into me as I went back around?? If I had such expectations on others then I'd expect the employees to live by them as well and not treat others differently simply by the way that they look. Paid over $130 . There was just about one employee who was kind enough to explain or listen to others compared to the rest. I know going to every place isn't always going to be the best, but I expected better.

Three classes of open wheel cars and we watched follow the leader on the bottom of the track with the winner coming from the front row for 15 races or more. Fastest qualifier was the very first car with the track drying up and becoming a slip and slide and a slow one groove track all night. I have never seen a dirt track watered on the top and bottom with nothing put in the middle. The top was not working until the last race. Four of us drove 5 hours to see the show only to wonder why are they not getting this track fixed/watered. NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Probably will never come back...

The website explained that it was a tablet directed quest game and would take about an hour. However, that's out of date. The time allotted for a single game was two hours. Be warned when setting the parking meter! Basically there are four "realms" that each offer quests. When you see a tablet, you can choose to interact with it and accept or deny a quest. You can accept the quest via your group's tablet by selecting the appropriate symbol. Then the wild goose chase begins. Clues send you all over the place to talk to characters and collect the virtual items. Up stairs, through secret passages, tunnels and more. Rarely did we encounter teams that were following the same quest at the same time we were so that was great. As crowded as it got in certain areas, we were all kind of doing our own thing. I believe there were around 16 quests that could be completed, all with varying levels of difficulty and length of time to complete. We made it through 4, and part way through another in our two hours. I was amazed by the level of detail that went into the planning and decoy of this game and all the rooms. It was more interactive than I had anticipated and also tiring! But what a fun afternoon. I'd love to go into more detail but I don't want to spoil anything. The price was fair for the experience and I highly recommend coming here. I am definitely planning another road trip back!

Not for the faint of heart…read more I have mixed feelings. We went around 11am on a rainy day during spring break. There was a line. It wasn't super long, but it was slow moving because they give each family their tablet and explain how things work. Waiting in a slow line is really hard for kids when they are super excited. I wish the people at the desk just sold tickets and that they had someone in the starting room explain the tablets to a group at a time to speed things up. Some people behind us in line bought tickets in advance online and were annoyed that they had to stand in the same ticket line as everyone else. Buying tickets online does not expedite things at all. There was no line when we left, so maybe late afternoon is a better arrival time. Overall, the design of the questing area is very cool. There is a lot to explore, and there are lots of fun details and secret passageways to explore. My kids are age 7 and 9 and really enjoyed it overall. As a parent, 2 hours was way too long for younger kids. It would have been perfect for teens and adults, but it is way too long for younger kids. We're pretty fit, and we were exhausted by the end because there is a lot of walking and going up and down the stairs. We were also carrying our kids coats and umbrellas as we didn't see the lockers until the end. Tip; Ditch any gear before questing. There are very few places to sit and take a break along the way. This would be a very poor choice attraction for anyone with mobility issues or anyone who can't handle a lot of walking. I wouldn't bring grandparents along on this adventure. We ended up taking a break in the snack area, and they paused our quest, so taking a break wouldn't count towards the 2 hours. I wish we didn't pause the quest because we ended up deciding we were done after 90 minutes of questing time, but 2 hours of being there, and our kids did not want to leave time on the clock. As a parent, this was a lot. My kids were SO excited to find things and explore, but I felt a bit stressed because there are lots of passageways and secret doors, and any time another family exposed some secret entrance, they immediately wanted to run through it. I had to be on high alert to avoid losing them to their impulses to go through any secret passages they stumbled upon. I read everything on their website, some online reviews, and watched videos about Wizard Quest, but I wish I had more info going into this about what to expect. We finished 3 quests. We would have to come back multiple times to complete everything. That would have been nice to know going into it to manage kid expectations. People in larger bodies might have a hard time navigating certain areas because some passages are quite narrow. There are 3 levels. We never made it to the fire area in the basement, and I feel like most of our time was in the earth area. Tip:choose quests that start in different realms to explore different areas. There was a lot of walking back and forth, going back to places we already explored. I wish there was an option to tap for a hint in the app instead of asking the staff. We went inside the tree so many times. When my kids had trouble finding what they needed to complete the task, we had to circle around, come down, and loop around to ask for a hint and then go back up again (and again and again). The staff is helpful, but having to go in circles to get a hint was frustrating for younger kids. They wanted to finish the task and move on to explore new areas. I also wish there was a back feature in the app. When little kids tap through quest details quickly, They miss important information. Both kids had a blast and said it was 4 stars and want to go back. I had fun, but I also feel like I would wait several years before considering a return trip.

The course runs from downtown Madison to Stoughton. Race is part of Stoughton's Syttende Mai citywide festival, so when you finish the race you can have some fun at the festival. The course is very hilly. Participation in the 20 mile run seems to have slowly declined over the years (which I would attribute to the non-traditional distance (i.e., it is not a marathon), adding the 10 mile run, and the difficulty of the course). Entry fee is reasonable (~$60). There is no finisher medal, but you do get a short sleeve tech t-shirt for finishing.

The Amazing Milwaukee Race is a great way of meeting people and to learn about Milwaukee. It also brings more awareness to community activities, various restaurants, non profits and places you probably would never have visited otherwise and make a difference in the Milwaukee area (such as donating to the Historical Society to upkeep a memorial, building a prop for a local acting company, or spruce up a wall of a school by painting it). I really love taking my boys to Badger Sports Park. The only…read moreproblem is we cant go very often because you need a small loan to spend any length of time there. Today with the help of a Groupon, the kids were able to do more than they are normally allowed to do. They bowled, had a few turns on the laser maze and jumped in the inflatables. The laser maze and bowling get zero complaints from me. However, The inflatables gets 1 star- the inflatables themselves are great, but... The absolutely ridiculous turf, they stupidly put down in a children's play area.... I cant even! There are these black pellets all over the place "for your comfort and safety" Let me tell you my child's bloody murder screams from the pellet in his eye, that refused to come out, and the over 15 minutes he spent crying in pain on the bathroom floor, to his now probably scratched cornea... safety and comfort are not exactly the words that crossed my mind. There were a lot of swear words that did, however. This definitely ruined my son's fun. I really do not understand the point of this material being added. It is definitely not safe. I will not be back (for the inflatables) for this reason specifically. I would also recommend parents go to other inflatable entertainment facilities we have in the area. Everything here is pretty costly. As a parent I cant afford to bring my kids here often. But they do have fun when they go. I also feel like I just gave them a gambling addiction from the crane games. That's where is starts, folks.... JUST ONE MORE TIME...I ALMOST HAD IT.....

This is a nice race...even if you wimp out and only sign up for the 5k like me. :) All the races…read morehave good attendance but there's more hype around the quarter (its essentially a little less than doing a 10k) and the half marathon. I think it used to start later in the summer but they made the wise move of starting earlier in the June. Its a lot more pleasant to run when its 60 than when its 80 degrees out. With the quarter and half marathon: -you get to go on the Hoan bridge. -you get a "tech" material shirt. -you start right at 7 am vs 7:20. Why I didnt do the quarter marathon (other than I'm flabby and tired sometimes :): It's about $35 more for the quarter marathon and it starts at 7 am on a Saturday in summer. I dont know about you but it's really a gamble whether I'm getting my butt out of bed and showing up for these things on a weekend morning in summer. $30 is one thing - $65 is another. I registered late so it was $30 but you get goodies that make up for the cost including: -tshirt -medal -summerfest ticket -polish fest ticket -nice earbuds (you know you can always use more of these.) -free drink ticket -water, chocolate milk, banana, & snacks at finish. Couple things: - they ran out of large t-shirts by the time I got to pick up my stuff but medium is still pretty decent sized. -chocolate milk at the finish line=nothing I want in my GI tract after running hard in the summer. -I would suggest walking or biking down here if you live nearby at all. Many roads are closed in the morning and it just seemed a lot easier. Bike racks are next to the Summerfest Southgate and by the finish line

I heart Milwaukee and I heart this race!…read more It was my second time running this half marathon and I finished 20 minutes faster than last year! I signed up at the Shamrock Shuffle 8K Expo in Chicago and got a discount as well as the dirfit shirt from last year's marathon...score! The course was pretty much the same as last year with a challenging start up and down the Hoan bridge twice!...and that wicked incline up to the residential area after mile 6. What makes this race special are the great scenic views of Milwaukee's Hoan bridge, lovely quiet mansions, downhill stretch down towards the lakefront, past Discovery World and the Milwaukee Art Museum. Energetic pacers will keep you in check in case the fun sights begin to distract you from a PR goal. Water/gatorade stations litter the course about every couple miles or so...the most I've seen in my history of running half marathons...all three of them! Entertainment along the way also took the form of a band rocking out the 80's music, a Chinese dragon, Mexican folk dancers, a saxophonist, a spectator dressed as Scooby Doo. Even the runners were part of the entertainment too. I saw one dressed as Elvis! Crossing that finish line with the Hoan bridge in view was an amazing feeling. The volunteers were so sincere in congratulating runners. I love love the chocolate milk you get at the end of the race. They actually have so much re-fueling snacks at the finish that I was running out of hands to carry it all! This race is definitely challenging but worth every minute of the blood, sweat, and tears. The free beer doesn't hurt either=)

This review is for the 2018 Cellcom Green Bay Marathon and half. I ran the half and Hot Wife ran…read morethe full. The expo: Great variety of vendors that featured quite a few running shops in the area. I got a great deal on some Balega socks from one at just about half off. There were a few chiropractors in the expo which I would have stopped into but we aren't local and had no desire to do any last minute tweaking. The Expo was held at Lambeau field in the glass covered concessions area. There is ample free parking for the expo and marathon. Packet pickup was on a different level. One complaint is the almost complete lack of swag in the packet bags. Like none. We haven't been to a marathon or half where there literally was 0 swag. So off comes a star for that reason. Other than that the expo was great. The half: Very well organized into corrals based on anticipated finish times. The marathon started an hour earlier then the half. It was a bit chilly for us, but equipment drop off was great. They had several waves which were separated by a few minutes which helped to prevent congestion on the course or at the water/aid stations. I appreciated that. The course itself is mostly flat, though there are quite a few turns through neighborhoods and scenic areas with a good amount of people out to cheer you on. Lots of signs, my favorite was a little kid's that read "Run faster......I just farted". Haha that was unique. You run through and around Lambeau towards the end which can get crowded in terms of being reduced into a narrower space. However it's not overly crowded at least in my case, and when I went back into the stadium to cheer on Hot Wife. The post race party: I got water, bananas and some juices as well as a fairly small medal (based on other 1/2's and fulls we've run before) and corralled through the equipment check to pick up anything you checked pre race. The whole area is runners/volunteers only which was nice as you don't have to navigate families reuniting on sore legs that are adapting to walking again. Proceeding on I listened a little to the band that was playing and considered the food options. Here again is an issue, if you are plant based theres pretty much nothing for you besides bananas and pretzels. Brats were the only thing served and obviously that's not something either of us wanted. Gross. However your race bib has a few free beer tickets which is nice. Overall the race is very well organized. People at home can track your progress through the race website which is nice. Bathrooms were plentiful and even at high use times (pre race) waiting time was minimal. I enjoyed the course and the people cheering you on, the bands along the route, and the water/aid stations were easy to run through. However no swag in the packet bags? Definite draw back, and no real vegetarian options for food (pizza at least?) was a major bummer. Hot Wife likes the T-shirts and she normally doesn't like race t's.

You end the marathon with a lap around Lambeau field and running through Packer tunnel before heading to the finish line. Sweeeet! Go Pack go! (Had to get it in!) The event itself is very well organized and supported! We went to the expo the day before the race and although I thought it was weird that the packet pick up and T-shirt pick up were on different floors the expo was still good and held within the Lambeau field atrium. That same day we got the chance to separately take a tour of Lambeau field which was AWESOME. If you are a Packers fan and traveling from outside the area this was a good event to do alongside the marathon. Just do it - it will be worth it. Anyways - the marathon itself offered shuttles from runners from nearby hotels - this was a huge plus and something we took advantage of. Runners and family members were allowed on. The course itself is nice... Fast, flat and beautiful. A bit curvy but still great. And with a lap around city stadium and Lambeau field what else could you ask for? Even with it being at the end and knowing how badly you want to finish at that point Lambeau was without a doubt a highlight of the race! Add stations were spot on throughout the course with port potties, plenty of water and Gatorade, GU, popsicle stations, root beer stations, chocolate stations (Which I skipped the last 3 but still way cool). Crowd support was awesome! We also lucked out and had perfect running weather... Chilly 45ish at the start but ended in the mid 60s. Beautiful medals for 2014! All in all a wonderful event!! I'd do it again and would recommend it without a doubt!
