I really love taking my boys to Badger Sports Park. The only…read moreproblem is we cant go very often because you need a small loan to spend any length of time there. Today with the help of a Groupon, the kids were able to do more than they are normally allowed to do. They bowled, had a few turns on the laser maze and jumped in the inflatables. The laser maze and bowling get zero complaints from me. However, The inflatables gets 1 star- the inflatables themselves are great, but... The absolutely ridiculous turf, they stupidly put down in a children's play area.... I cant even! There are these black pellets all over the place "for your comfort and safety" Let me tell you my child's bloody murder screams from the pellet in his eye, that refused to come out, and the over 15 minutes he spent crying in pain on the bathroom floor, to his now probably scratched cornea... safety and comfort are not exactly the words that crossed my mind. There were a lot of swear words that did, however. This definitely ruined my son's fun. I really do not understand the point of this material being added. It is definitely not safe. I will not be back (for the inflatables) for this reason specifically. I would also recommend parents go to other inflatable entertainment facilities we have in the area. Everything here is pretty costly. As a parent I cant afford to bring my kids here often. But they do have fun when they go. I also feel like I just gave them a gambling addiction from the crane games. That's where is starts, folks.... JUST ONE MORE TIME...I ALMOST HAD IT.....

Both times I went I did not bring anything to sit on. The tickets were cheap both times I went (Eve of Destruction and an Impact Survival Series race). I like that they keep it cheap because even though I dont have a wife and kids, it seemed cheap enough for a special event with the family. The beer is cheap and there never was much of a wait to get one. They also have a good selection of non alcoholic beverages for a decent price. The food was also reasonably priced. Seemed a little bit cheaper than your typical sporting arena food. Burgers were actually good. If you want to kill a few hours by watching cars race and stuff blow up (Eve of Destruction) then this is the track to do it at.

If you do not already know what to do, most give you disappointed looks. Me and three other people were simply just trying to find a place to go and we would get told there wasn't enough space while they'd let people in even bigger groups go before us. It seemed like a group of their friends had come over later in the night and the employees allowed them to repeatedly break rules all while simply just walking around and leaving another person to do the work themselves (creating bigger lines and groups of people in the way). When we were finally off a ride, they closed off the entrance but let other people inside. If we created any problems, nobody communicated that with us which is very sad because even us younger people recognized the unfair treatment and correct way to approach it. We didn't talk loudly like other people in front of us who were older and yelling to each other, we didn't do things unsafely, and we didn't bother the employees from the start. We stopped jumping for a few seconds when we got in and an employee already came, told us to leave, and then bumped into me as I went back around?? If I had such expectations on others then I'd expect the employees to live by them as well and not treat others differently simply by the way that they look. Paid over $130 . There was just about one employee who was kind enough to explain or listen to others compared to the rest. I know going to every place isn't always going to be the best, but I expected better.

Green Lake Area Half Marathon is a local half marathon (and 5K) run on labor day weekend every…read moreyear. I have run it the last couple of years as I have been in the area for the long weekend. Really pretty lake and town and area in general is definitely worth visiting. If you are already going to be in Green Lake for the weekend, you might consider running this race, but be prepared for a very hilly course. Add in the risk of it being hot on labor day weekend (like it was in 2015) and this can be a tough race to really enjoy. Race is fairly expensive for what you get, pretty bare bones support on the course (from enthusiastic volunteers). Long sleeve cotton t-shirt comes with entry fee (along with another item if you register early enough (I believe)). Finisher medal is nothing to write home about. There is beer for finishers.

There are races here in the summer months that you can spectate, and you can also race around the track yourself in go karts. You can bring your own food and picnic, and there are even camping spots on the grounds if you wanted to spend the night or weekend. I visited to do some ATV driving around the area. The ATV trail goes all around the property and is pretty adventurous at some points! I know for sure I screamed and cussed during my drive. Afterward, I visited the gift shop, which is huge and has all kinds of gifts and racing paraphernalia. It's a great place to find gifts for the racing or car lover in your life.

They have a winter driving course that is excellent…read more I learned about it when I drove by and saw it advertised. I think that this is a class for everybody who drives in hazardous conditions; but it is specially good for new drivers. Road America has so much more than car racing. The value paid for the course was worth it. I'd take this class again to keep polishing my winter driving skills. The staff was great. Highly recommended! Tip: You can call your car insurance and have this class applied towards the insurance. Road America provides certificates.
