My jeep had a coolant issue, I called up and spoke to Nick. Explained the issue and that I had been trying to have this repaired at another shop without much success. I was able to bring the jeep in the next day, dropped off and had a quick diagnostic, which required a new water pump. After discovering Greenlight Garage a few years ago I wouldn't take my cars any place else. Nick and the team at Greenlight are always courteous and professional. These guys were nice, helpful and happily accommodated some recurring scheduling issues as I prepare for a cross-country drive. They located a problem I didn't know I had, and I think they may have fixed it for free. Whether or not they did, the total charge was reasonable for the service, and I would go back. Came on a rainy day with a tire that was quickly going flat. Nick came out quickly, saw the problem - a big screw that was lodged right in the middle of the tire. He not only quickly and expertly repaired the tire but t totally engaged my 5 year old by showing and explaining every part of the process. So nice. And, in less than 30 mins, my tire was as good as new. read more

I drove pass this garage almost daily for four years before I stopped. What a mistake as I was driving all the way to Tacoma to go to the Mercedes dealership when I had a wonderful, qualified garage in my backyard. I love this place! The guys who work here are so genuine...they love cars and trucks, whether they are classics (you should SEE his mustang!) or they are Jaguars or an old Subaru Legacy from the early 1990's. Like mine. I needed a tune up and an oil change. Simple, right? They were fast, affordable and they drove me home when I dropped my car off! How cool is that? Not having to coordinate with a pal to get picked up made my day SO much easier. And they were fast too. I got my car back the next day, purring like a kitten. Now here's the great part...about a week later a rat got in my engine and ate all the wiring in the front of the car. Took it in and they not only figured out why my car headlights and turn signals suddenly didn't work, they made me laugh about it. (They found a dead rat in my engine- it is not even remotely funny-but hell, what else can you do?) They also gave me tips for preventing a rat getting into your engine, which is apparently not uncommon. They also found out it had eaten the rubber...ya know what...suffice to say they not only fixed it fast, they were, once again, reasonable, fast and dealt with me honestly. It's as if you had a couple of friends who know how to work on cars. They don't bullshit you, they tell you up front. I am never taking my car to another mechanic. read more

Broke their word! The office guy said he would call me mid day to tell me the status of my car. I have medical issues going on and appts with the VA which are hard to come by. At 4:30 I call and found out that the were to busy to work on my car. They were also to busy to call to tell me they hadn't even put air in one of the tires. He gave me 3 DIFFERENT reasons why he didn't call to tell me they hadn't even looked at it. They did say they were to busy with other cars to look at mine which had been scheduled for the AM for a week. Found out one of the cars they were working on didn't even have someone that would be without a car like I was, and his wasn't even scheduled. I hate when people break their word. read more

Hands down terrible place. Have brought this place lots of service and customers in the past. No longer go to this place after being treated rudely by owner Nick and having cars left filthy inside by workers. People here do no seem to know how to work on Volvos or bmws. Often have to look up how to. Parts for repairs are never delivered before day of service so service is usually very slow. Oil change can either take whole day or two days depending on if workers or nick feel like getting it done. Have scheduled repairs with the various office staff workers that seem to always quit after a little while working here and not always but sometimes I have arrived in morning to be told my service was never scheduled. Very frustrating. Have looked past all this in the past so to having friends who liked this place and this place seeming to be only decent place around but am sick of this place. Do not bother nick with questions or ask for replacement bulb if he is busy doing whatever. He may be grumpy and tell you he can't help you. No shuttle service due to lack of staff and Covid apparently. Thought this place was great at first but after many bad visits no longer support this business. read more

A good samaritan knocked on our window and pointed out that I had flat driver-side rear tire. After pulling over to a safe area, I was able to reinflate the tire with a portable electric pump I keep in the trunk. But I knew it wouldn't last. I drove gently about two miles and into the Green Light Garage entrance area. It was almost closing time, so I half expected them to say, "Sorry, we're closed". Instead, as soon as I explained the problem, the technician grabbed a spray bottle and flashlight and asked me to slowly drive forward from where I had stopped while he sprayed the tire with soap solution and looked for a leak. His partner also got on his knees to help and, within a minute, they told me to stop because they had found it; puncture was caused by a broken nail. The partner brought out a tool which removed the nail and inserted a plug. All of this completed in under ten minutes and no need to put the car on a hoist. The cost was nominal. I was very pleased. read more
