Lauren is honest. I had other estimates for some bumper damage, with it coming in at about 2K. He came out with a cloth and some spray, and after wiping it down well sent me in my way! (It looked much more involved than that, and next time I'll try that first instead of freaking out.) But still- he went to the simplest solution first. After a year and a half from the initial service date I still have an unfinished vehicle. My car was brought in after a front end collision and due to circumstances out of their control it took a few months to get back to the ability to drive and operate safely. I was told that although they had my car for a few months the only remaining issues were electrical and cosmetic and did not affect driving the car. I was given the option of leaving the car until the remaining parts arrived, which could be a few months, or get the car and I would receive a call when the parts arrived and I could make an appointment to bring the car back to be completed. I picked the second option, they collected the insurance payment as well as my deductible. I then had to call three different times, in just as many months, asking for an update when they finally said oh we have the parts. So I made an appointment to drive over early one morning from Seattle (which is not convenient) and bring my car in first thing in the morning to be finished. I then took an Uber into town which they began repairs and only a short time later I was called to say the work is done come on back, which I thought seemed rather odd and quick. It was then that I was informed that when they received the parts they never looked at them and they were incomplete. I would need to come back a different day which was a total waste of a day and time for me. I then called them once a month for 4 months leaving messages asking about the parts and service and never once received a call back. It is now several months later and my car was never finished, my payment collected, and it is clear the business is not interested in contacting me or finishing the intended job. read more

Today I dissolved into tears outside Jerry's Auto Body Repair on Miller Bay Rd because I was so touched by their kindness. After a week of "one thing after another" I dragged myself there this morning with a banged-up car door because I'd had a good experience there 18 months ago myself, and others recommend them often. Without the unnecessary details, suffice it to say that my faith in the goodness of the people has been restored. Loren Huff, the owner, and his talented crew are certifiable Island treasures. We have this top-tier body shop right on Bainbridge that isn't interested in short-term gains but in building trust-based relationships. These are the type of people who could never even conceive of overcharging or taking advantage of anyone. Let me make this statement. Even if I were to move away to the far reaches of the Kitsap Peninsula or beyond, I would never want to give my business to anyone else. Loren and his team are amazing at what they do from the time you call about needing to drop your vehicle off to when you pick it up.. I was in an auto accident and Loren the owner came in to receive my car on a day the shop was closed and it was holiday weekend. I was beyond distraught as my husband is deployed and worried about all the details. Loren ensured me after dropping it off all the car details he would take care of and would keep me in the loop every step of the way. His team and him did exactly that. My rear fender was damaged my wheel was beyond repair and was no longer made. Loren went out of his way to research and find me amazing beautiful wheels at an incredible price. The panel they replaced you would have no clue was replaced. They had to replace my ABS sensor and by steering wheel sensor had to order it in and even ensure when the sensor for my traction Control wouldn't go off they sent to VW to reset the computer and was able pick it back from them. They even went above and beyond and washed, vacuumed and scrubbed my floor mats. I couldn't be more blown away with their customer service and great care they showed me the whole step of the way in this process. read more

I was really apprehensive about the shop after reading their only Yelp review. My experience was quite the opposite with them. Not only did they get the work done in record time because I was in a major hurry to use my SUV for Christmas vacation, but they used OEM parts even though the insurance paying for the parts doesn't pay for OEM. To top it all off I had a couple of very minor issues I noticed on the car after i got it back and had been driving it for a few weeks. They took it back in no questions asked, got the things fixed in less than 2 hrs, and even washed my car before handing it back over. tree branch fell on car, took it in, and it was repaired........nearly new car, somehow, they "found" another body panel dented....which of course is not in any photos I have :) nor did it exist prior...basically means it was damaged in their shop, but it was insurance claim so I tried not to worry about it.... Car came home, seemed fine, it was an extra car, so it sat for 6 months hardly driven, but little did I know, the roof (which was repaired) was leaking the entire time it sat, mold inside, 10" of standing water in the rear......so I cleaned it out, took it back to them, and also noted the new rattles and sounds...so all that was taken care of......(I think) but now the moon roof will not really open without some pushing.....on a $40k, 2 year old car......oh boy. read more
