Recently, it seems, traditional physical therapy has become more of a targeted fitness training specific to post-surgical and trauma recovery. At Boudreau Physical Therapy, your experience will be different. You won't find high-tech weight machines or exercise stepping machines. Instead you will find a practicianer (yes, an RPT and a PTA) and they are likely to give you exercises that you can work on at home (complete with little pictures.) However you will also find a treatment table, a hands-on experience that brings focused attention to the areas you feel need to be worked on. It has been my experience that the PT I have received from Boudreau and Associates has brought healing and wholeness that I can't find in fitness machines. The process used is called Integrated Manual Therapy (IMT) and it basic premise is that whole body functions as a system made up of the other systems of the body. Louis is a fantastic Physical Therapist that listens to his patients, and has truly helped me begin to improve my condition. For that, I am very thankful. The office staff- also very nice, helpful and return calls quickly. So, where is my frustration? Policies. It is 2021. The policy of missing too many appointments = you are not a patient anymore is absolutely archaic. People have lives, things happen, sometimes unexpectedly. I will admit I have missed 4 appointments where I called about 2 of them usually without 24 hours Notice, but as soon as I knew I could not make it. As someone who suffered a severe work injury I have been unable to drive for over a year. I have to rely on others to hopefully show up and bring me from Rindge to Keene. Sometimes, without notice that does not work out. That's has always been the case except for one other appointment I had to miss because I found out I was exposed to and tested positive for COVID. it was the day before an appointment, but it is what it is. I understand that by not showing up for an appointment I took up time that could have been used for another patient. However it is also assumed that more importantly I cost your business money by not being there. I called today to verify an appointment and was simply told I am no longer a patient there. I can't think of any other industry where It is acceptable to tell a customer that there business is no longer needed. If I ever told one of my customers that I was no longer going to serve them because they missed an appointment or didn't do what we had planned, I would lose that customer for life, AND risk negative feedback. In an effort to apologize and makeup for missing my appointments I did in fact offer to immediately pay in full on cash for the sessions I missed, but was denied. I really hope this review takes into account my honest feedback. This is a silly un necessary policy. I hope you consider simply charging patients for missed appointments going forward. Because the ones that DO value your services will pay up and keep coming back, and the ones that don't won't return anyway. My offer is still open to pay for those sessions if I can be reinstated, but if not I will not in good faith recommend this establishment as I will now need to seek out another practice and will probably sacrifice the level of care and essentially have to start from "square one"

I finally started seeing Hunter & in just two months he had me back up & running without knee pain for the first time since I was a child! Beyond happy. He was always professional but very friendly, easy to talk to, & genuinely seems like he loves his job & enjoys helping people. He is one of those professionals who practices what he preaches, which is refreshing - as in he works out regularly & eats healthy too (he's not someone who preaches that smoking is bad & then smokes himself). HIGHLY recommend! Can not say enough good things about him. Side note: although I never used it, they do have a day care area, you just have to "reserve" a spot ahead of time. (FYI - it's not free but I do believe it's really cheap, I can't remember exactly how much though)

He always ask in the beginning of each visit how your feeling and what has changed. If a certain technique hasn't had much effect he'll try different techniques until he gets you straightened out rather than repeating the same steps over and over to fill the time slot. When I've mentioned seeing him to others I've heard things like " Oh that's guys awesome, he completely eliminated my planters fasciitis " and " yeah I thought I need back surgery but that guy saved me, he's incredible". She is the first clinician who sat with me to thoroughly explain what was going on with my body, through viewing my x-rays, computer generated anatomical pictures, and her own words. Her use of body adjustment/alignment techniques, Dry Needling, body work and prescribed exercises, helped me recover much of my regular functional life activities. Bill Chapman is the most compassionate, intelligent hard working professional I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He took amazing care of my son when he was recovering from brain surgery because of a cancerous tumor. He also took care of my husband when he ruptured his Achilles. Now, it was my turn with an arthritic knee. I have learned more about my body and what it is capable of from Bills educational physical therapy sessions. He doesn't just pop you on a machine and watch from afar or give you a quick routine that you could whip through on your own. The exercises, stretches, massages and progressive strengthening doesn't ever go without explanation, education and encouragement. He works tirelessly on your mind, body and spirit! It goes above and beyond what is probably expected and required of him. You always feel like the most important person in the room. I know I am getting much more than the BEST possible therapy. I tell everyone I know to go there and request Bill and no one is ever disappointed. I look forward to my visits and make sure I keep my end up at home with his plan for me. I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my progress that we have BOTH worked so diligently on. I am just as committed as Bill is to my recovery. The care that the team gives, especially Stephanie, is fantastic. I've had to go through physical therapy a few times in my life. And this is by far the best experience I've had. They are also very accommodating with evening appointments where I work a full time schedule. I feel like my appointments are part of my weekly self care ritual and not something that I can do without.
