From the very beginning she was very hard to get a hold of. At one point she told me " I really could use 4 assistance - but it's just me". The only way to get her was via phone call - but she was always driving or at another event, so you really didn't have her full attention. And she never had anything written down. Anyway - the food was ok - but the serve was terrible. We notice right away that none of our water glasses were filled. When we asked about it, the servers eventually dropped water pitchers on the tables ( which filled about 3 glasses of a 8 person table ) Our sit down dinner for only 35 people took over an hour for all 5 tables to be served. Anna had assured me many times that we had plenty of time for her to serve a full meal before our welcome drinks. We were so far behind that we asked her to just take the dessert that we had paid for and set it on a table at the welcome drinks, because people were coming in by then. Then when we got up and moved to the welcome drinks with passed appetizers - again soo slow to come out. Our venue coordinator (not with Lasting Impressions) was running around trying to help speed them along. The charcuterie board ran out of crackers fast. It took forever to get them to refill. At one point -one of the servers stopped to offer me something and began talking to me about her daughters wedding - going on and on. So unprofessional. She is there to serve food - not mingle with me. Again I have never posted a negative review, but I wish I would have seen something like this before I booked Lasting Impressions. I would not recommend them.

Not only did Anna prepare an amazing menu for us, she proverbially took the reigns and made everything happen on a moments notice with little direction from us in our grief. When the wedding was over, Colleen and the staff took anything that the bride and groom left behind, she kept it brought it to her home and called us and told us she had it above and beyond what they had to do!!!!!! My guests all commented on how good the food was. Many guests said they were the best tips they've ever had. They had packed up all the leftover food and brought it into my kitchen after asking where I wanted it. I will be definitely be using them again. So easy to deal with, I called Kevin to set it up, and he asked me to call back 5 days prior to the date with the count and the final menu. And that was it. We also were tight on budget and needed to be pretty careful with our costs while maximizing the taste and quality of the food. Darcy was incredibly helpful and accommodating - she suggested the most affordable options and kept track of every little detail for us in both of our tastings and in email exchanges in between. The food at the wedding was amazing and we got SO many compliments. My favorites were the flatbread, citrus shrimp, chicken, & beef skewer passed appetizers and the steak tips with bacon (oh my god, the jam is incredible), chicken breast w/ tomato artichoke salsa, and gnocchi with grilled veggies. They boxed all the leftovers so people could continue to pick and plenty of leftovers for the next day. Folks were fascinated with the oven onsite and how quickly the food was prepared. Taste of Summer and Xyomie, their sales manager, on the other hand, were helpful and excited to work with us right from the beginning. First, Xyomie helped us find a menu that fit the budget and feel of our wedding. We chose a grilling menu that included chicken, steak, and shrimp as well as a few sides and appetizers. Xyomie promptly answered every email from me over about six months, including one the week before the wedding asking to add more to the menu. She also explained with a lot of detail how the day would go and gave us all the info we needed to be ready for the event. Our wedding was on the Cape so the company had to travel for the event and they were prompt and ready to work upon their arrival. The food was delicious and we have gotten so many compliments from our guests. One friend told us that we won the prize for best food out of all the college weddings. A chef grilled right at the buffet table so all of the meat was served right after cooking. The caterers even packed up leftovers for us that we're still eating three days later. When I walked up to the buffet, the lead caterer introduced himself and it turned out to be Dave himself, the owner of the company. We were so grateful to have the owner overseeing our event. The staff was also great with clean up and kept the food and alcohol - related parts of the event running smoothly and on time. Our only recommendation would be to get actual silverware if you are serving the steak. We used disposables and it was a little hard to cut the steak with the plastic knives, but that's not the fault of the caterers. You will absolutely be happy with the service, prices, and food from Taste of Summer!

The side dishes were also so delicious. I had potato salad, a regular salad and corn bread. The dressing on the salad was so good. . . i asked the guy serving it and he said that they make all of their own dressing (you could absolutely tell!) I would definately use them again!
