Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They guided us through the daunting task of designing our menu and beverage program, as well as assisted in our furniture and linen rentals. We always felt like we were in good hands. The food was absolutely stunning! Capers has a wide variety of interesting menu options, far beyond your typical wedding dishes. We ended up going with BBQ, Asian, and fall seasonal stations, in addition to an assortment of fun appetizers, plus gourmet donuts for dessert. The food was unique, gorgeous, and most importantly, absolutely delicious! They were also able to make special accommodations for our guests with dietary restrictions, so everybody left with a full belly. Many guests told us that this was the best wedding food they've ever had. We definitely agree! For the bar, Capers was able to handle all of our special requests and provided a unique selection of craft beers, ciders, seltzers, as well as plenty of wine and liquor options. They did a great job of finding cool, local brands that gave the bar a much more upscale feel without breaking the bank. Kristin from Capers COMPLETELY made everything so easy. She was so responsive and answered any and all random questions. She helped us with a timeline and diagrammed how the room would be set up and she was on top of EVERYTHING. On the day of, Kristin started the set up and, even though I kept asking if I could help, she was completely on top of everything. It was great to have someone I could completely trust so I could worry about other things. Then, Catherine took over for the dinner itself and she was amazing too! They remembered that my husband and I don't really drink, so we got sparkling grape juice for the toast without even asking! At the end of the night, Catherine even gave up a bag of leftovers, which was amazingly sweet. The day could not have gone better and it was really thanks to Capers that everything went so well. They aren't just caterers; they seriously are magic-makers. And the food. The food was AMAZING! My husband loved the steak and I had the fish and it was amazing. We also were tight on budget and needed to be pretty careful with our costs while maximizing the taste and quality of the food. Darcy was incredibly helpful and accommodating - she suggested the most affordable options and kept track of every little detail for us in both of our tastings and in email exchanges in between. The food at the wedding was amazing and we got SO many compliments. My favorites were the flatbread, citrus shrimp, chicken, & beef skewer passed appetizers and the steak tips with bacon (oh my god, the jam is incredible), chicken breast w/ tomato artichoke salsa, and gnocchi with grilled veggies. Darcy, Ashley, & the rest of the BE&C staff were all incredible during the entire event, making sure that we were happy and had everything we needed all night. My guests all commented on how good the food was. Many guests said they were the best tips they've ever had. They had packed up all the leftover food and brought it into my kitchen after asking where I wanted it. I will be definitely be using them again. From the very beginning she was very hard to get a hold of. At one point she told me " I really could use 4 assistance - but it's just me". The only way to get her was via phone call - but she was always driving or at another event, so you really didn't have her full attention. And she never had anything written down. Anyway - the food was ok - but the serve was terrible. We notice right away that none of our water glasses were filled. When we asked about it, the servers eventually dropped water pitchers on the tables ( which filled about 3 glasses of a 8 person table ) Our sit down dinner for only 35 people took over an hour for all 5 tables to be served. Anna had assured me many times that we had plenty of time for her to serve a full meal before our welcome drinks. We were so far behind that we asked her to just take the dessert that we had paid for and set it on a table at the welcome drinks, because people were coming in by then. Then when we got up and moved to the welcome drinks with passed appetizers - again soo slow to come out. Our venue coordinator (not with Lasting Impressions) was running around trying to help speed them along. The charcuterie board ran out of crackers fast. It took forever to get them to refill. At one point -one of the servers stopped to offer me something and began talking to me about her daughters wedding - going on and on. So unprofessional. She is there to serve food - not mingle with me. Again I have never posted a negative review, but I wish I would have seen something like this before I booked Lasting Impressions. I would not recommend them.

Not only did Anna prepare an amazing menu for us, she proverbially took the reigns and made everything happen on a moments notice with little direction from us in our grief. The food was great and the presentation was lovely! We were so happy to have Anna and her team make our day seamless and without stress. I would highly recommend them!
