My…read morehusband and I both have dietary restrictions and had a number of guests with multiple food allergies, so it meant we had to get creative and modify some of the menu items to ensure there was something for everyone. We also were tight on budget and needed to be pretty careful with our costs while maximizing the taste and quality of the food. Darcy was incredibly helpful and accommodating - she suggested the most affordable options and kept track of every little detail for us in both of our tastings and in email exchanges in between. The food at the wedding was amazing and we got SO many compliments. My favorites were the flatbread, citrus shrimp, chicken, & beef skewer passed appetizers and the steak tips with bacon (oh my god, the jam is incredible), chicken breast w/ tomato artichoke salsa, and gnocchi with grilled veggies. Darcy, Ashley, & the rest of the BE&C staff were all incredible during the entire event, making sure that we were happy and had everything we needed all night. And we got to keep all of the leftovers so we'll get to keep enjoying it for even longer!

Taste of Summer and Xyomie, their sales manager, on the other hand, were helpful and excited to work with us right from the beginning. First, Xyomie helped us find a menu that fit the budget and feel of our wedding. We chose a grilling menu that included chicken, steak, and shrimp as well as a few sides and appetizers. Xyomie promptly answered every email from me over about six months, including one the week before the wedding asking to add more to the menu. She also explained with a lot of detail how the day would go and gave us all the info we needed to be ready for the event. Our wedding was on the Cape so the company had to travel for the event and they were prompt and ready to work upon their arrival. The food was delicious and we have gotten so many compliments from our guests. One friend told us that we won the prize for best food out of all the college weddings. A chef grilled right at the buffet table so all of the meat was served right after cooking. The caterers even packed up leftovers for us that we're still eating three days later. When I walked up to the buffet, the lead caterer introduced himself and it turned out to be Dave himself, the owner of the company. We were so grateful to have the owner overseeing our event. The staff was also great with clean up and kept the food and alcohol - related parts of the event running smoothly and on time. Our only recommendation would be to get actual silverware if you are serving the steak. We used disposables and it was a little hard to cut the steak with the plastic knives, but that's not the fault of the caterers. You will absolutely be happy with the service, prices, and food from Taste of Summer!
