It includes soccer fields, basketball courts, a walking trail and wide open spaces for kids to play. In the spring my Jack Russell "Rufus" and I enjoy sitting in the grass, watching the kid play soccer or taking long walks along the path. The parks are immaculately maintained and I always feel safe and secure.

It was really refreshing to see, and for the most part, people there were also taking care of the park during its use as well. We saw other kids his age there as well at the base of the orb with their parents. He became completely fixated on traversing through the orb thing in the middle of the playground, as one would be as it's an amazing structure. He kept trying over and over and over to go up the ropes and into the first layer of the orb. He was scared, the layers of the orb are made with rope, and I had to go with him while helping him physically, which was heavy on me physically, and I am fit. There were certain parts in that first 'orb layer' that had no net and a steep drop off to the ground. My boy thought it might be fun to try jumping off of it so I had to fight against him to keep him from those parts. I went down the slide with him in my lap to get down. We tried every single time to distract and recenter his focus to get him to try the other playground areas but he was fixated on that orb and wouldn't stop. He is athletic at 55 lbs so usually he prefers the big kid areas at parks. We ended up having to carry him out with him crying, kicking, and screaming due to this playground orb feature. We went to another nearby playground, which was a blast.

Because the weather has been so warm, it was packed with alot of families. I did want to point out that there are pickleball courts for those who love to play it. You can also bring your pets there, and had I known that, I would have definitely brought our pup out there. The park also has stations where kids can climb pretty high and test their other skills. I think the only downside is that the park isn't too close to us. However, the boys loved it and that's all that really matters. In the end, because it is close to one of our friends, I definitely see ourselves coming back here and hanging out again.

Multi-functional park for literally EVERYONE!…read more Fitness Enthusiasts: There are softball fields and a cricket pitch. There is a built in exercise station. I see cross-fit groups out here all the time. There is a huge running/walking/biking loop around the entire park and connecting to other routes. I think also some kids soccer groups also play here. Families: there is a very large playground with benches and shade! It's top notch and well maintained. Tweens/teens- there are benches and sick places to hang. You can even bring hammocks. There is plentiful parking. Picnic tables. Families often come out on nights with solar events and their telescopes. To be fair it is super well lit so it may not be the best place for star gazing, but you get many people to interact with. Plus let me add for Pokémon Go players- three gyms and 6 Pokéstops so this makes for excellent playing.

Passing this park on an out-of-the-way side street for the last two years, I noticed a "workout area" towards the entrance to the park. I made a mental note to stop and check it out but, never did until today. I usually work out daily at the recreation center but, recently due to Omnicron, I've been looking for an interesting outside place to get some exercise. I remembered passing this place and decided to check it out. On pulling up I was initially disappointed. I guess I thought the structure should be bigger, more interesting, more challenging! then I started using it. Bam!!! Hello! I thought I was in decent shape for my age but, boy was I wrong. I couldn't even make it through a few exercises on this "adult playground"!!!! It just shows you can't judge a book by its cover or make assumptions. You have to Do It. this great little outdoor gym known as the Miracle is just that. In a fairly small area, several exercises are demonstrated via placard if you need them. It will wear you out, challenge you in ways you didn't anticipate. I'm so glad I found this outdoor place to exercise in the fresh air at this time. I feel I'm getting a type of physical challenge that I didn't inside a gym. Definite Go!

I discovered this park after joining Plano Pacers last night and seeing that this is our monthly location for 5k races. I walked over to check out the course prior to Saturdays race. I loved everything about it! It's truly beautiful in every sense of the word. What I can say, is on a very hot TX day the park itself (not Legacy trail) didn't seem to have a ton of tree coverage. You'll definitely want a wide brim hat and some sunscreen. The paths, wild flowers, lake, creek, trees, birds, bunnies and so on were all very lovely. I've been running a ton of routes since relocating to the neighborhood and I'm always thankful to find new paths to incorporate in, seeing as though I'm a distance runner and have been trying to put together some ideas for various different mileage options from my doorstep. I was very accustomed to an out and back in my previous city that I could easily get over 20 miles on and have been looking to somehow recreate a similar very straight forward route like that. I will most definitely be looping Windhaven Meadows Park and Legacy Trail into my runs. Highly recommend if you're looking for a gorgeous peaceful place to walk and relax. Theres swings, small slides, big slides, tunnel slides too, pure fun. Love the green turf lawn. The only issue arises when/if you or the kiddo takes a tumble. Legs/knees/elbows will get scratches. But that's ok too. What is a trip to the park without a fall or two? There are children playing, climbing, jumping, laughing, enjoying life. Parents too. Bring a blanket and lunch. There's plenty of beautiful spots under a tree or near the pond. Walking trail for those who love to walk or jog. I'm Excited to return. Great place to spend 2-3 hours of simple free fun.

It's…read moresandwiched between Bethany (a six-lane highway), in front of a Kroger parking lot and McDonald's but somehow manages to feel like a peaceful space. There's a huge colorful fun playground for kids, a large shaded gazebo and a surprise cast of wildlife including turtles, frogs, ducks, geese, and swans. We stop here often to eat our McDonald's after shopping at Krogers.. who knew running errands could include a moment watching nature, lol.
