We have had a great experience with GPE to install panels on our home. All the people we worked with were prompt, explaining things accurately and correct, and were really helpful and patient. Especially as our installation was process was lengthy due to the historic nature of our house and barriers thrown up but town officials. However as long as we didn't give up, GPE supported us and eventually we won and our solar was installed and turned on. As other have commented, when you compare GPE's work with that of other installations around us, they did an exceptional job to hide any conduits, cables and the panels look less messy than what I've seen all around me. We had the opportunity and chose to pay out of pocket, instead of financing and GPE made it clear and easy. As many people aren't in the position to do that, they provided us with the options and helped us choose without pressure, but with the assistance needed. While we ran into minor issues, with the help of GPE these were resolved to our satisfaction. And we now are enjoying the longer sunlight days that generate our power. I had a very positive experience working with Green Power Energy from initial quote through Permission to Operate. The sales and quoting process was straightforward and low-friction, and everything was handled digitally. There was no in-home sales pressure, which I appreciated. Despite very high demand in the residential solar market, communication was consistently solid and responses were generally faster than expected. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable and professional, from sales to installers to post-install follow-up. The installation quality itself was excellent. The conduit runs were exceptionally clean and thoughtfully done, to the point that it made me notice how sloppy other installations can look by comparison. Cleanup was also outstanding. Based on prior experiences with roofing and exterior work, I expected a significant mess. That was not the case here. Green Power Energy did a particularly good job managing expectations around timelines that were outside their control, such as permits and utility approvals. They intentionally overestimated these timelines, which turned out to be a smart and customer-friendly approach. The project ultimately hit the PTO timeline we expected, with no major surprises. Most importantly, they consistently did what they said they would do. No installation is completely perfect, but any minor issues were small and situational, and none affected the final outcome or system performance. Overall, I am very satisfied with the experience and the final result. The system is live, producing as expected, and the installation quality is excellent. I previously wrote a glowing 5 star review when my system was installed. I am writing a new review to reflect the service provided this year I paid over $15,000 to have the solar panels removed and subsequently replaced so my roof could be replaced. This included $3,000 for the critter guard even though the prior critter garden looked pretty usable to me as noted in the picture They reinstalled the panels and left one completely caked in mud. That panel is now at 50% output compared to the panels immediately surrounding it I have contacted the service department at least five times in the last 2 weeks with pictures of the panel, updates of the output, pictures after the rain which they said would wash it off, with no improvement For $15,000, the bare minimum would be to install the system the way they took it off and this did not I will be escalating this issue read more

We used Greenpower for our install in New Jersey this past fall. Overall, it was a very good experience. We got a bunch of initial quotes through EnergySage, and spent a couple of weeks talking to both GPE and two other smaller local installers. Ultimately, we went with GPE because their price per kW was actually the lowest of the bunch and they were a larger installer with solid reviews. I'm glad we did. Our sales rep was decently responsive throughout the process. Some steps took a little longer, but they would respond to my follow up emails within a couple of days. They handled all the permitting and process - we just paid. When there was a small electrical issue after the initial install (just a couple of outlets in the house not working), they sent out an electrician at no charge within 24 hours and he fixed it right away. We've had our system running for about two months now and it's working well. If you want a solid and reputable solar company, I'd recommend getting a quote from them. read more

I scheduled a Solar Consultation on their website, received FOUR emails confirming the scheduled consultation. The next morning I followed the Google Meet link - only to be the only one on the call. I waited for 20 minutes before hanging up and writing them a note asking what had happened - but four days passed without a simple apology or at least an answer. This was preceded by me emailing them for a quote - also no answer. I suspect they do not want my business because of my non-standard two-family situation, which is fine, but why not sending me a simple note about it? Why not affording me a simply courtesy of honoring the pre-arranged appointment or at least apologize if they missed it? But they continue sending me their marketing emails to get a quote, to "lock in solar rates", etc. Have to mark is as spam. read more

Had my system installed 2 years ago. Up until now, everything was relatively great, and I have been satisfied overall. Since 7/21/22, my system stopped producing completely. Several contact attempts, and absolutely no response. If someone picks up the phone, they advise that I will get a call back. Not once have they followed through. Had my residential system installed a couple of months ago and went live about 4 weeks ago. Could not be happier with Green Power Energy and the system they installed! So we first got in contact with green power in Aug 2022. They said it would be installed by end of the year. Well it's now mid April and still not complete. Seems like there's always a new excuse. I finally kept on them enough to get the system installed. But now they don't seem to care about scheduling an inspection with the town. I keep getting more and more excuses. They never follow threw with anything. They pretty much got their money and ran even tho the system isn't able to operate. This whole thing has turned into a total nightmare, now I'm stuck with Solar payment AND power bills. I DO NOT recommend green power to anybody. Do yourself a favor and save the headaches, issues and fake promises and use a better company that will actually carry out the work. I am Extremely frustrated and disappointed. read more
