On the other contracting how impressed we were with the technical support we received from Mike. Mike is in my opinion a great ambassador for your company. Mike was prompt, very friendly, a great listener, and was able to solve the problem that prevented our generator from turning on when the power failed yesterday. On the other hand, to management, there is a problem with your established protocol. Let me explain, we purchased the Cummins generator from you in January, see my write-up of February 10, 2021. We opted for the top-of-the-line service and warranty program you offered. Yet we had to sign a sophomoric promissory note that we would pay for the service call before a service personnel would be sent out to repair our newly purchased generator. This exercise was a stupid and unnecessary action on your part that has left us wondering should we recommend your company to our neighbors. Management should reconsider that if a customer has purchased the top-of-line service contract you should trust us to pay if warranted. read more

Once again Innovative does not fail to disappoint. I had a scheduled service call for their technician to work with my HVAC technician between 12-2pm. At 1:10 I received a text(not even a phone call) that Innovative was CANCELLING my appointment. My HVAC technician had been waiting for an hour by this point. I called Innovative and Sue/Katie said they would call me back but they did not. I had to call again and ask to speak to Sonny(the owner) before they would get another technician routed to my house. I am waiting to hear back from Sonny.. Let me just add, I pay for a yearly service contract with Innovative which includes expedited service.. read more

I see a technician from Innovative once a year for annual service. The reason for that is the fact that year after year my generator keeps working perfectly. The office staff is wonderful and treat you like family. Getting a generator was a big expense for us but when the power in our neighborhood goes out -- we're the household with the lights on. The worst service experience of a lifetime. We have been under a service contract for a long period of time for monitoring the health of our Generac unit. Today we lost power, the Generac unit came on but the lights were flickering on and off indicating a voltage issue that could damage all of our appliances. We called Innovative and their monitoring system, internet based, told them the unit was running but could not diagnose the issue nor could it even tell that the unit was not producing electricity. Their monitoring provides a false positive it runs but it doesn't generate power. How good is that? They refused to come out to service the unit because it was raining. We tried to indicate we were paying for a contract so when issues arose we could get priority. We were told the was no way they would they come to provide assistance in the rain. When I indicated our sump pumps would no longer work and our basement would flood. They offered to rent me a backup generator. What arrogance. They also told me that our Generac unit had a known issue but they never advised us of that issue during any service events or conversations. If we had known that we would have made a change in units since wet only need the unit when power goes out. We called Genrac and they hooked us up with a company who immediately dispatched a service rep and we were up in a few hours even in the rain. The arrogance displayed by their representative and total lack of customer service or understanding was astonishing. Paying $40 a month for monitoring and service and they could not tell us the unit has a known issue nor would they try and provide any level of service when we needed the access to their service. I would not recommend Innovative Electric based on the lack of service we experienced. This is clearly a case of caveat emptor, let the buyer beware. We are cancelling or contract ASAP. As a note the subject of COVID was never brought up. We we were told they couldn't service or system because it was an "act of God" as to why we invested in a generator to protect us from storms. Innovative did offer to "rent" us a generator rather than come out. read more

I do not recommend Innovative. I am not sure what has gone wrong with them. But I had used them to maintain my Kohler Generator for 9 years after installation. This year in January about 2 months after their scheduled maintenance the generator failed due to a bad oil filter. During this time my wife had passed away after a long illness and I did not pay much attention to their work which had always been reliable. I had them come out to see what the issue was causing the generator's failure. The repair person told me that the oil filter had leaked and the engine ceased. After talking with Sonny the owner I assumed he refused to believe it was the oil filter. During the repairmen's visit he told me they had received a bad batch of Napa oil filters, which Innovative was notified and they had a lot of issues on other generators. We've had Innovative Electric for Generator maintenance for a very, very long time. Today, Gennaro was my technician. He came out in the pouring rain for my scheduled maintenance, while here, he put in a new battery. He also needed to check the SN on the panel in my basement. When he asked if he could do so, I said yes and turned to show him where the panel was located. When I turned after opening the basement door, he was coming down the stairs, I noticed he had put on shoe coverings to protect my floors. This is SO impressive, and quite frankly, rare with many companies. I appreciate the care Innovative Electric takes in maintaining my generator, the ease in appointment scheduling, and the thoughtfulness of the techs who are considerate of my home. He didn't walk across the grass either, he used the walkway. Generators are not inexpensive, caring for them is critical to ensure you've got power consistently. They keep track of when a new battery is needed, the oil levels, everything I neither want, nor know how, to do. This is a great company, can't believe how lucky I was to find them for maintenance. had innovative electric work on our newly purchased home two years ago. We had them install recessed lighting and a fan in one of our bedrooms. At the time we noticed some of the recessed lights flickering and turning on in a random order. I brought it to the owners attention and he said it was not something to be concerned with. My mistake was that I didnt push back to have the work rechecked because it happened infrequently. Now the lights flicker like strobe lights and the fan they installed has the same problem. I am now worried that this may be a dangerous problem for my family and property. I reached out to Randolph Township and my electric company who suggested I reach out to Innovative Electric since it was their work. I spoke Deana regarding this issue and was told that I would have pay for their services to fix this issue since it was no longer in warranty. This seems like an insult to injury and I am stuck in a bad situation with this company. I wouldn't reccomend them to anyone at this point. read more

We are very happy with the work Innovative Electrical did, and will use them again. We replaced our home's circuit breaker box, the outside wiring and the meter pan. The lead Electrician clearly knew what he was doing, and was neat and organized. They got the job done in a single day, but it took two guys a full 8 hours. The cost was quite reasonable - we got two quotes for this project, and this one was lower. A few days later, the town inspector flagged two minor issues, so they returned and addressed both in about 15 minutes. Update: this work was done 4 months ago, and we've had zero problems. We recently purchased an older home that needed allot of electrical updating. The owner came to see the job and was through examining our many issues and offered possible solutions. This included installing a sub panel, providing light and power in the basement, 19 recessed LED ceiling lights in our living space, a properly vented fan in both our kitchen and bathroom. They also installed our chandeliers and made sure each outlet was properly wired. The back office staff at Innovative Electric was excellent to deal with and answered my many questions and scheduled the job. Their were significant obstacles in completing the job (plaster and lath that is not uncommon with older homes.) Innovative Electric sent a team of two people. Innovative installed a Kohler backup generator at my home this fall. Before hiring them, I got other estimates from reputable sources. What made the difference for me initially was the fact that the OWNER came to my home personally and viewed the job. He listened to my concerns, and gave me good advice. Innovative's price was in line with the other estimates I had received. I decided to give them the job, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The contract was easily done. The work was performed as promised, on time, done right the first time, and by technicians who were pleasant and experienced. It was a pleasure to have them in our home. Once the installation was done, the startup was flawless (a part on the generator was DOA from the factory and was replaced on the spot!) and the township inspectors for plumbing and electric passed the job with flying colors. The expression used was "this is a good, tight job." I HIGHLY recommend Innovative for having a good product, good people in the office and in the field, an involved owner on the job, and for delivering everything as promised.
